Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yes, you can use the lounge from the time you check in through the evening of your departure day. Having a place to rest and get snacks and drinks when my room isn't ready yet or when I've checked out but have a late flight is one of the things I love about CL.
Great!

We are staying at AKL DVC club level for the first time this June. Can anyone provide information on the rooms, experience and staff regarding a DVC club level stay? Is it worth the points or would you recommend a regular stay at another hotel? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

We love AKL-CL and DVC is better! There are 10 rooms and they are adjacent to the lounge so no long walk. You'll have a pool or Savannah view. We've had both. This recent trip 4/17-20 we had a Savannah view and we had 4 giraffes and 3 zebra outside our room at night! Very convenient to grab drinks and snacks. Turn down every night. Mousekeeping daily. And the CM are amazing. Enjoy!

If our room isn't ready when we arrive at the poly, can we still use the lounge?

Your question has been answered above, but I'd add that the Poly CL restroom is quite big and perfect for changing either yourself or kiddos if you need to change clothes after traveling, for the pool while you wait for your room, etc. The bathrooms/showers they added to the main pool are also quite nice as well (the old bathrooms under the volcano, which are still there, are kind of a wet mess). I tend to book very early arrival flights (way before I expect a room to be ready) and late afternoon departures, and the lounge is a big help. Just plan ahead however you're packing your bags so you have items at hand if needed.

Edit: I should probably clarify "quite big" for my description of the Poly CL bathroom. It's a single stall / lock the door kind of deal but it's pretty big and a nice size to change clothes if needed. It's also nice and out of the way on the 3rd floor little sitting area.

We are doing exactly this! Our flight home leaves in the evening. We plan to enjoy the pool and club that day.

Same here...it's nice having somewhere to go and unwind after arriving or getting ready to travel back home :).

Yes... and pool.

:thumbsup2

Hi. We will be celebrating our 30th at either Disney World or Disney Paris. Does anyone know how the Club Level is at the Disneyland Paris Hotel? Thank you.

I can't help, but hopefully others will be able to give a comparison :flower3:.

I just wanted to say I love your avatar, makes me smile every time I see it! Your kitty is so cute :goodvibes.

Does anyone know if GF Sugarloaf has bathrooms like this as well? Our return flight doesn't leave till 6pm and it would be nice to have someplace to change for swimming etc.

Thanks for the info! We plan on swimming on our arrival day so this will be perfect!

I have Poly booked for July 31 - August 8. It's our first stay at a deluxe resort. After reading all these Club Level posts I really want to upgrade! I have a 10 year old (celebrating her 11th birthday while at Disney) and twin 15 year olds. I keep thinking with the food in the lounge and my constantly hungry teenagers, I can justify the cost. Maybe??? Thank you all for the GREAT information. I'm almost ready to make the change.

Do I need to call up for club level next year at CSR. I'v put a load of dates in and nothing comes up

It never hurts to price it out! If you can get a decent discount, it lessens the blow a little bit...lol. We love CL mostly for having the lounge as another place to sit and relax, but the food offerings do come in handy ;).

Yes. Rates for 2017 won't be out until sometime this summer (anytime June-August), which is why nothing is showing beyond December 31. RO can be booked 499 days out, but you have to call. You will be quoted the highest rate for 2016, which will automatically be adjusted once the new rates are released. A deposit equal to 1 night's room rate + tax will be due at booking. If you want a package or want to book online, you will have to wait until those rates are released. Keep in mind that if you book RO now and change to a package later, the RO will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new deposit. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. HTH :).

I'm from the UK too, unfortunately Disney UK don't offer all the same room categories as Disney US, you can however call Disney UK and ask if they can get a room released from Disney US but it also depend on how far in advance you're looking at.

I didn't know you were asking about UK. I'm not familiar with UK bookings, so I'm not sure if the process for booking now for 2017 differs from the US. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer.

So when does club level normally show on the uk website. It's for middle of Feb we are booking, just have a standard room at the moment but wanted to upgrade

If it's a room they are able to offer it will show and have a 'call us' note against it, you will then have to ring them to see if they can get it for you. It may be however if nothing shows it's a room category they don't offer, for example they do not offer Boardwalk Inn club level.

I'd give them a call first to see if they can help :)

Not sure about justifying the cost as CL is expensive, no matter how you view it. Convenience wise, it will be very handy to send them for breakfast as they get ready in the morning. If you don't eat breakfast, it loses value. It is also good for snacks in the evening *if you get there*. If you are commando touring types, it loses value.

Not tons of food, but it can definitely take the edge off of a 15yo's appetite. What is the daily amount extra? Think of what that amount could buy food-wise and if the convenience factor is worth it to you.
