Jumping up and down - yay!! Hey, that sounds something like our 4th of July trip except we're staying at BWI CL deluxe room first, then Poly CL LV second.

It truly will be perfect. I'm excited for both resorts, but I'm thrilled for the TPV!!!!! Jumping up and down with you!

Has anyone stayed CL (particularly the Contemporary) with a peanut/tree nut allergy? My son is 2 1/2 and this is his first trip with this diagnosis. We've stayed CL many times (GF, and Poly), but never the Contempo. I'm just a little nervous with him being so little, but he's going to want the cookies and things like his sisters will have!! Give me your thoughts! I know our reservation is marked with his allergy.

We have had experience with dealing with allergies while staying CL at the CR...and must say that they were very helpful...Did not note anything on our ressie...or thru our contact with IPO...we just prefer to go right to the source so to speak...lol..and ask at the resort...my young adult DD has some very significant food allergies..including some nuts...while we do not request nor expect any special foods..we do need to know food ingredients so that she knows what to avoid...the lounge CMs happily provided us with the info... (they do have a binder with ingredient info)...and also contacted the chef with regards to some hot foods that were in question. ...we have found...over and over again through the years..with either general dining QS and TS..or while staying CL...WDW overall is very accommodating..and accessible for people with allergies. .. Best of luck to you with your little guy...my daughter has become very adept over time at being able to handle the challenges of safe dining...

We are six days away as well!! The kids are watching YouTube videos this morning of all the rides and parades. Excited is an understatement!

You people with trips coming up are killing me! Normally when we get back I need a couple of months to get the itch to plan another trip but this one has hit me hard, total withdrawal. Thanks Disney-enablers! (My new favorite term). TigrLvsPooh - I hope you do another live trip report so we can live vicariously through you!

My TA said she'd make the switch but she wasn't feeling well. And sometimes she makes me wait overnight just to make sure. I'll keep everyone posted

Having read some recent decline in service/perks/offerings posts, I am now debating keeping my CL reservation at the Poly for 2 nights in June... Any words of encouragement and/or caution for me? I need to make a decision on this ASAP. I am travelling with my DH and adult DD. Thanks for helping me make up my flippin' mind once and for all!

I agree with the others to stick with Poly CL .

I say go for it! I'm staying 3 nights Poly CL next month and I will report back and let you know how it went for us. I admit I'm a bit of an enabler too, but I agree with dansdad, it's such a short trip you probably can't go wrong. The Poly is a beautiful resort. I've stayed CL there before and it's just so wonderful being in the Hawaii bldg. with the spaciousness and view from the lounge. Enjoy!

Looking forward to your report when you return. We love the Poly and are excited to try CL later this year .

It's not hoarding, because you might need them! Hoarding is booking 2 or 3 places in the same time frame.

Frankly any view of the Poly grounds is a great view, in my humble opinion.

This is my opinion as well. I think the grounds are beautiful and I don't think there are any bad views .

Some still do think it is quite naughty to take good ADRs if you aren't sure you want them...

Try not to worry about it. Make any ADRs you want and if you decide it's too much with CL once you get there, you can cancel them .

Definitely e-mail them. This is exactly what they are there for, and one of the reasons you pay more for CL. Also, you should always bring Andes... just because they are so darn good!

That's a pretty long delay. I'm glad you've found something to occupy your time. Have a great trip! Poly CL isn't such a bad thing to look forward to. We are lucky enough to be staying in a Bungalow this July, and although really excited, I already miss the CL lounge.

Wow, 6 hours...not going to lie, I would go nuts!! But nothing a Lapu Lapu or Dole Whip can't fix when you get there. I hope you have a fantastic trip (despite the delay).

Can you add me to the list? Looks like a lot of us wil be at the Poly together in July! We are doing one night at the GF RPC on 7/22, then we are heading over to the Poly from 7/23 through 7/30. I'm counting down the days!!!!!

Help please.........am I better making my room request through the IPO or with my TA? We're in the UK but I have a fab TA in the USA who I've used for years. We're staying in SL in the summer and after reading lots of your posts I've decided to go with 'nice view'. For our BWI stay at Christmas we've got a deluxe CL room booked and want to request '4th floor, through the Innkeepers door' We're then moving to the CR with a MK view - we usually request 'odd numbered room, opposite end from Chef Mickeys'

After reading lots of the new posts I'm now planning a CL stay at the Poly for Easter 2017!! We've only stayed at the Poly once over ten years ago in a standard room and loved it so think it's now time to return.

Ok, so I'm a little confused when I look at the AKL map. It shows some rooms right above the lobby that don't appear to be on any trail. When I made my CL reservation, I put in a request for bunk beds and closer to lobby. It is a regular reservation and not DVC. However, there is no reason any of us can't walk a little farther esp. If it means a better room view. The booking stated Savanna view, which I know from you all is what the CL rooms are, but now I am thinking I should remove the closer to lobby request and maybe putting a certain trail request instead? Are CL rooms on all different trails?

What a great combination! The Poly is our favorite resort overall, but I also love the GF (especially RPC ).

You can have your TA note your requests, but you can contact IPO and let them know as well. It never hurts to have requests in both places .

We had booked our WL CL reservation through Orbitz but I made my room requests via IPO. And they were very diligent about granting my request, too.
I had notified them about a month or so ahead of time. They don't assign rooms until close to check in date, anyway.
