Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hello Erika!
Can you please add me to the guest list. I will be Poly GV CL 11/2-11/12. First club level stay and first birthday trip for me!! So excited!!! Thank you!!!
Shelly

I just upgraded my May trip to Poly CL GV. Our trip in August was supposed to be a Poly CL stay but I got spooked by the reports of construction, so we switched to the WL. I'm taking my mom to the Flower and Garden festival in May, so I think we'll be okay at this point. When we've traveled with the older kids, CL hasn't made as much sense, because we spend most of the day in the parks and I tend to make my own ADRs. But this trip, we'll have my 3-year-old with us, so I think CL will work well. A few hours in the park, a few hours at the pool, appetizers in the lounge (and a glass or two of wine), and Wishes from the lounge or beach sounds like a pretty fabulous trip. I was hoping for no major construction, but looking at Tikiman's FB page, I'm wondering if the Oasis pool will actually be open. Haven't stayed CL at the Poly in a long time, so I'm looking forward to it!

Hi mimi,
I put my last name and confirmation # in the subject line.
In the email I introduce ourselves, and make a room request if I'm ready to do that. I ask questions or anything else I want to mention.
You certainly can ask the IPO if they have a suggestions for warming your son's milk.

Feel free to ask any questions you like here, too.:flower:

Awesome thank you!

Regarding the microwave, you can request one delivered to your room (I'm 99% certain on this). You can e-mail IPO and ask for that note to be added to your reservation (or they'll reply that I'm wrong and that's not an option). There is not a microwave in the lounge for guest use. An alternative to a microwave could be to get some hot water from the Nescafé machine thing and use it to warm up a separate cup of milk. BTW, I'm also pretty sure the lounge has milk cartons in the back upon request if you don't want to worry about buying milk somewhere else. August is a great time to be at Poly, hope you have a great trip.

Thank you :-) I'll be sure to add it on my request.

I've never filled out an IPO itinerary planning form in my life. But I think they could be useful if you have a list of ADRs and you know exactly the dates and times you want. Or if you want a ton of recreation, golf, stuff like that. For the average guest I think it's overkill. Like many have already mentioned, most common requests and questions can be easily handled through email or over the phone. :D
I actually was going to fill the one out I got yesterday, but it really didn't apply to us LOL. I was so happy to get it, it's a good feeling when the IPO office reaches out first so Poly made me happy yesterday :)

Our reservations aren't until November, our first time in AKL CL. I emailed today and got a response today! I asked about the DVC Villa construction and the CL construction. I was told all the reno would be completed this summer. I also asked if the Concierge would contact me in time for me to start planning, ie, booking ADR's and they said I would get a form/letter at 190 days out. Very helpful, so far. :) Been wanting to try CL for a long time. Have done the paradise pier lounge in CA twice.

Glad you received a quick response! AKL is a great resort and while we haven't tried CL yet, it seems to always get great reviews. I'm sure you'll have a great trip :wizard:.

One reason we don't do OCI is we enjoy the chance to spend a few minutes chatting with the CL CM during check in, introducing ourselves, getting to know them brielfy, etc.

I'm the same way. I love checking in at the resort and chatting with the CM, makes the start of our trip even more exciting :goodvibes.

I agree....it's always exciting to get that email from IPO ::yes::. Glad Poly IPO is making you happy.....I know you will stick with it this time :thumbsup2.

Booked for 2017 (UK) :) Originally booked a BC water view (non CL) room as wasn't interested in CL this time but was quoted a price for a BC garden view CL room that was less (!) then my non CL water view room, I enjoyed my last stay in a garden view CL room, close proximity to lounge/elevators and the keyed access floor which I always prefer.

My dates are 25/4 to 3/5 2017.

We did request a microwave for our room at YC in Sept. It wasn't the room upon arrival, so I asked at the desk. One magically appeared in our room by the time we returned from the park.

I keep forgetting to ask an "important" question! Are there ever zebra domes in the AKL CL? Thank you!
Sadly, no. But you can purchase them at The Mara. Zebra domes are flavored with Amarula. They do put out Amarula liqueur with the CL desserts.

Thanks. Whats your favorite thing about the AKL CL? Never stayed there and we are so excited!
Everything! Breakfast! Fresh fruit, croissants, hot quinoa! The staff is great. Love to be able to pop in and have a sangria or Chardonnay and some snacks. Take a few cans of soda or beer to your room for later. If you have kids, it's so nice to have milk, juice, fruit and treats. The hot offerings and crudités, my mom and I can make a meal out of....and then desserts and cordials...yum! You seriously don't have to leave the resort if staying CL! I'm a huge fan!

See, you're destined to stay at Poly! I'm sorry I'm sure you've said, but what type of room view do you have booked?

It's been a few years for us, but we have had zebra domes up in the CL. So sad that they aren't up there anymore. :(

I'm excited to try Poly CL again. It's been several years. Most of this trip will be spent at Epcot for Flower and Garden or at the MK. I'm hoping the Oasis pool will be open by then. But if not, at least the Volcano pool is easy to find. This is key for my mom, whose directional sense is not great, to put it mildly.

I agree. Is Wayne still there? He was such a great CM. He always seemed to go out of his way for my kids. CL at AKL has always been my favorite. I don't know if it's because the resort is more remote. But whenever we stayed there, we seemed to run into the same families over the course of our vacation. In the morning at breakfast, discussing the plans we had for the day, and then at night over appetizers, talking about what we did and saw during the day.

Heard they have added protein at breakfast ie, hard boiled eggs or cold cut meat?
