Are the any variables (eg first time, paid in full, etc) that puts you into one of the three scenarios? Would LOVE to get #1 when we do it. ;)

Nobody knows how they choose who gets which one. You have to be paid in full for all 3 options.

Thanks for the explanation. Other than going to a the streamlined kiosk instead of the online check-in desk, is there any difference between the 2? I did get streamlined check in. We have an evening flight, so our room will definitely be ready upon arrival.

The only difference is that the Streamlined Check In kiosk seems to never have a line. Where there's usually 4-5 families in the online check in line.

Ok, thanks! I've done online check-in several times, but had never heard of streamlined check in. Is this new?

Sorry that I haven't been super active on the DIS since our trip but things have been busy around here lately. I am going through the pictures from our most recent trip and found the following that I think may be helpful to some of you. I'll be adding them to the informational posts as well.

Since the room refurb, the refrigerators do have a very small "freezer" section. I put a 16 ounce bottle of cola beside the freezer so that you could get an idea of the size. You can also see that we had two half gallon containers in the bottom of the fridge as well as two cans of Mountain Dew and a bottle of water. The second shelf was stocked with bottled water and juice. The door was also fully stocked. The refrigerators hold more than you would think they can.

Pool noodles are sold in the store at Old Port Royale so I think that it is safe to say that they are allowed in the pools.

Oh and you can see that the coconut postcards are still being sold in the store.

Main Pool hour signage:

The marina no longer rents watercraft but they do still rent bicycles and surrey bikes. The information about the pirate cruise is on the sign as is information about the fishing excursions.

If you are wondering about the stairs in the buildings, they do vary in the number of steps section but they do have wide landings.

Check in three weeks from today, can not wait!!!! Can you fish in the lake at CBR?
Did you find out if you can Fish in the lake? When we were there in 2009, I saw posted on a sign that was on the counter where you rent boat that it was allowed on the shorelines. I was wondering if this was still the case?

People were fishing there last September.

Random question, but I thought I'd ask. I saw that Coronado Springs has a resident alligator. Are there gators at CBR? I'm not asking out of concern, it's more out of curiousity.

Our daughters are participating in dance the world in June and this is the hotel their instructor selected, so we will be making our first stay at CBR. Having to book through an agency, etc is new to me as I (like many DIS people) am a planning freak. I'm having some control issues I won't lie.

I am excited to try this hotel out though after seeing all the pictures. CBR was never on my list of hotels I'd like to try someday and I wanted to return to POFQ on my next trip, but looks like CBR it is, and I will say, I think I am really going to like it at this resort.

I am a little bummed though that since we need to go in June we can't go during Food and Wine like we were planning since we can't afford both, and I am also worried about the heat and crowds at the end of June compared to when we usually visit.

As I reported back in May, the Caribbean Beach Resort laundry rooms received a make-over too. The machines are more efficient and are internet connected so that you can check the status of your load(s) of laundry right from your phone! I wrote an article, complete with pictures and video, on how to access the laundry rooms, how to make your machine selection and how to check the status of your laundry. Here's the link: http://*******************.com/the-...-make-doing-laundry-on-vacation-loads-easier/

We have seen a Gator a couple of times. It is swampland, so Gators will make an appearance every once in a while. They have always been out in the lake and never near the beach. Not a worry and they are usually retrieved ASAP.

Did have one walk across the green at Magnolia Golf Course one day. I like the spiel that the starter gives each time we golf there. "There are alligators on the course, stay out of the water and woods. But, there are 2 types of poisonous snakes." Thank God I buy cheap golf balls.

89 days!!! Does anyone know if I can get Canadian stamps to mail a postcard from Disney to relatives back home? Or should I grab them before getting on an airplane??

I know that they sell U.S. Postage stamps in the resort store. I would think that they would sell Canadian stamps since there are so many Canadian visitors. If you want to be on the safe side, I'd probably bring a few from home.

I'd bring stamps if you want Canadian stamps. Can't you use US stamps to male a postcard?

How would Canadian stamps work at a US post office?

Sorry I should have been more clear. We are flying from Detroit, so I would stop at an American post office to get stamps to mail the card to canada. Does the usps have different stamps for domestic and international mail? Here in Canada we have stamps used for domestic, stamps used for USA and stamps used for any other country. I just want to be sure the post card gets to canada :)

Not last time I checked. If you take a letter in there, they can weight it and mail it first class but no grab and go stamps.
