I don't think I would be too spoiled. I would be looking forward to coming back to the room and finding the bed made and clean towels.![]()

We did this in December. Stayed one night at POR and then moved to CBR. Frankly I did not want to deal with them sending our bags, which they will do. We hopped into a taxi that was sitting in front and 10 minutes and $10 later we were at CBR with luggage in hand and no need to wait for our luggage. It was well worth the $10!Have any of you guys done a one night stay at a different resort then switch to your magic your way vacation package (different resort)? I was wondering how difficult it was to have our bags sent from the first resort to the second one? As I was looking at our work schedule it appears we are both off work the day before we leave for Orlando but CBR isn't available for the Late Summer Room Only discount. Why would I stay overnight at home when I can be spending the night at WDW?![]()
I didn't realize I had gotten Streamlined Check-In. I was second guessing my online check-in choices so I went in to modify what I had originally chosen. My 2 location preferences were greyed out so I clicked the choice I wanted to change to......it let me make that choice but it wouldn't let me "unchose" one of the others. So basically I have 3 things checked......when I saved the modified online check in it indicated I had Streamlined check in.......It depends. There are 3 scenarios.
1. Skip the Front Desk - You will receive an email about 10-14 days out saying that you are able to skip the Front Desk. It will say that if your room is ready when you arrive on property you will receive a text with your room number. If it's not ready, you will receive a text stating it's not ready and will get another one when it is ready. With this scenario you can go to a park without going to the front desk at all and your Magic Bands will work for park entry and any Dining Credits you may have.
2. Streamlined Check In - You would have seen a message after completing Online Check In stating you have been selected for Streamlined Check In. It will detail that when you arrive at CBR you will go to the Streamlined Check In kiosk, hand the CM your ID and they will give you your welcome packet. If you room is ready, the CM will give you your room number. If it's not, it will be texted to you when it is ready.
3. Online Check In - You don't receive an email about Skip the Front Desk and didn't see the message that you have been selected for Streamlined Check In. When you arrive at CBR you will go to the Online Check In Desk and hand the CM your ID. They will give you your welcome packet, if your room is ready you will get your room number and if not it will be texted to you when it is ready.

I am looking at one night at POFQ. I think you are right, if we do decide to go a day early I will get a taxi. Did you take a one-way DME TO POR and then the one-way DME from CBR to airport after your trip?We did this in December. Stayed one night at POR and then moved to CBR. I know we get the DME tags sent to our home before our trip for getting TO the resort. I can't remember, but do we get new DME tags for the ride back to the airport after the vacation is over?
Yes, we took ME to the first resort (didn't use the tags since our flight was late) and then took it back from CBR. Just call them direct once you have your flight information and tell them which resort you'll be going to and then which one you're leaving from. It's a dedicated phone # that only goes to them .. so no silly "press this, tell me that ..." (866) 599-0951
Couple questions . I possible have a stress fracture in my right heel and will be in a walking boot. How many steps is it to get to the 2nd floor and are the steps wide? If they are too many and narrow who do I call to let them know we need a bottom floor due to my foot? I'm debating getting a ecv for the trip and we would then need a bottom floor. This injury really has thrown a wrench in our style of touring.
Check out the post from @mickeystoontown on page 213 of this thread for a picture of the very wide stairways. The number of steps varies a bit but I remember 7 to the landing them 7 more to the second floor of Jamaica.
I would call the main reservations line and add 1st floor as a request to your reservation. I would then go to the check in desk when you arrive and ask if you got a first floor room. If not tell them what happened and if you can get first floor. I have personally seen them go above and beyond to help someone in your situation.
So a little bad news. I have a stress fracture in my right foot. I work as a nurse in a hospital so no time to take it easy. We leave November 12 for dw. Not sure what to do. Any advice?

Looking for some thoughts on doing a room request. We are checking into CBR for a 12 night stay starting the 23rd of this month. We have stayed there before, maybe 5 years back, so I'm familiar with the layout etc. We have not paid for a water view or preferred room. (Due to the length of stay, the cost is a bit too much).
With that said, when doing the on line check in, I'm trying to figure out what my better bet is. I see I can actually "request" two combinations of things. My first inclination is to request Jamaica and water view; but I'm wondering if I would be better of requesting say Jamaica and say Martinique. I realize I'm not guaranteed any of this and it is only a request, but still worth a shot.
So thoughts from those who have done requests on the best luck when doing requests? Request a building and a view, or two buildings hoping to maybe get a preferred building?
I would call and add the following requests "Jamaica or Martinique and Water View". Then skip the request section during online check in. This will let the room assigner know you would like a water view in either Jamaica or Martinique.
Thanks...wanted to make sure I was not missing one. I guess people who are requesting specific rooms have been before and know the room number they want. When you check in will they give you a map with specific rooms so you can clearly see where your room is?
If you haven't paid for a water view or a preferred room will the request for these work?
