Thanks, having a great time so far!

We luckily got an awesome view. The only thing I requested was a non- first floor room. We are in building 10 (which could have a view of the parking lot) but we have a perfect view of the log with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa.

The soundproofing from the hallways isn't bad, but it's tough in the room. The walls are on the thin side and the toilets flush LOUDLY and the table bed gets the worst of both bathrooms. Light sleepers should avoid that bed. One of my roomies had to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and woke me up.

From what the two members of our group say about the sofa bed, it is pretty comfy. On the firm side but they liked it.

Hope that helped! Let me know if I can answer any more :)

Very helpful, thanks so much!!! Enjoy the rest of your stay. :wave2:

Does anyone know about how many outlets are in a room? There will be 4 if us and we all have at least a couple of "toys" that need to be charged in addition to the camera, camcorder etc

Are the kitchenette stocked with anything? Paper plates and forks or no?

We're getting close to our trip!!! We're staying in the Cars section!!!

And I know I'm late to the party, but I'm a little shocked they didn't sprinkle some standard rooms throughout the resort as well as create some suites in LM. As a mom to girls, I would love to have had that as an option for our trip! But I really wanted the bedroom for my YDD to nap during the day and to have some freedom in the evenings when she goes to bed. :confused3 Of course, Disney hasn't ever called me for my opinion, but that won't stop me from going!! Can't wait!!!!

I'm just hoping for better weather this year! I was there in Dec 2010 when they had a freak cold snap and we were all shocked and unprepared!:scared:

The kitchenette had paper plates, cups, forks, knives, and spoons, pods for coffee, tea bags, and sweeteners, creamers and stirrers for the coffee. Housekeeping was good about refilling the the supplies, except for the coffee. We had 6 adults, they gave us 2 pods every day. I'd have to chase down a housekeeper every morning.

And for the poster who asked about how much room, in the Nemo rooms, there was enough space at the foot of the opened sofa bed for my DD's GF to make a pallet out of the sofa cushions and sleep on the floor one night, so I'm sure there's room there for a pack 'n' play. then a blow-up bed would fit between the sofa area and the table bed.

I would bring a power strip if you've got multiple people with multiple electronic devices in any hotel room anywhere, personally. I don't know about AoA but I've never stayed in a hotel that had that many outlets per room.

We are staying in LK in 34 days! First time staying onsite since I was a kid.
Couple of questions for you, thanks for posting while you are on vacation! How firm is the bed in the bedroom? How far is the walk to the big pool and to the bus stop? Is there a bathtub in either of the two bathrooms? Also is there a safe and ironing board? And my most important question, how is the air conditioning, especially at night?

You're going to love it!! The bed in the bedroom is quite firm. I've tested them all :) walk to the big pool is about 3 minutes, walk to bus stop about 5. There's a bathtub in the 'kids' bathroom with the Pumbaa shower curtain. There is a safe and ironing board. Air conditioning seems good to me! I prefer to sleep in a colder room and I've had no problem with that. Hope that helps!

When you say plenty of room...would there be room for it and a Pack n Play? Alternatively, would there be room for a Pack n Play in the living room when the sofa bed is open? We are trying to figure out the best configuration to get all three small children in the same room as an adult.

Thanks.

I think you would have no problem putting a single air mattress in the bedroom and the pack and play in the living room between the table bed and sofa bed. Won't have tons of walking room but it would fit (even with all of the beds open).

So glad you are having a great time! Thank you for taking the time to answer questions! What does the hotel provide for shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc? Also, what type/brand of coffee pods is provided. Thanks! Also, how is the water pressure in the shower?

Are the Lion King characters between the two buildings or are they scattered behind around the area?

How is the food court? Is the food good? Is it crowded? The Little Mermaid section has almost 900 rooms (about 1100 suites are now open). I am afraid once Little Mermaid opens it might become very crowded, especially if everything is made to order. What beverages are available with the refillable mug?

Have you been to the gift shop? Did you see any special AOA items there?

We are booked in a family suite for 10/13. Requested Lion King or Finding Nemo.

Have a great vacation!

I can answer this just from watching youtube videos on the resort...

There are t-shirts at the gift shop that say Disney's Art of Animation Resort, from what I remember I think Cars characters were on it too. And I definitely remember seeing a shirt with Ariel's face...

So there will definitely be merchandise specific to the resort!

Yes, there are for sure items specific to AOA.. I however, didn't buy any..what was I thinking?? :)

Disclaimer: I did not read the whole thread...

How long is the walk from the bus stop to building 8 of The Little Mermaid? It seems like a very far walk and I wanted to plan for it accordingly JIC! Thanks!

I'm wondering about the coffee as well. I saw in a video (sorry I don't remember where) that they are a cuisinart brand. What they looked like to me are the senseo type pods - not the packed kind like Illy pods.

I have a question, has anyone noticed what kind of creamer they have in the food court? My husband and I like the vanilla creamer and I will bring some from home of they don't have any there! Also, Pop used to have decaf diet coke, anyone know if AoA has that????

I keep seeing moire and more video and picture previews of Littler mermaid, and still no sign of Sebastian anywhere. I will be somewhat shocked if he doesn't have a "statue" anywhere, especially after his was one of the first seen in the early concept art for the resort, with Triton.

Then again, Nala is nowehre to be seen in LK, but still.....

:goodvibes For any of the PP that have already stayed at AoA, my question is: We like to stay close to the lobby/food court/bus stop, my husband is not much of a walker, what rooms should we request that would meet that criteria, Nemo or Lion King?? :confused3 Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Thank you:worship::worship:

Nemo is a very short walk..I could make it in less than 2 minutes and our room was at the far end of the Crush building..#5..good luck..COLOR]

Check out Josh's review of Lanscape of Flavors, which has tons of photos. If I remember correctly (from what I read), there is only regular creamer in the food court. They serve Nescafe in the food court/drink station. I don't know what brand is in the rooms. I was told by a CM that LM rooms do not have coffee makers. I am waiting to hear from someone on Dis if this is true. If you search Art of Animation on Josh's site, you will find a ton of posts. He wrote so many reviews and there are tons of photos. It is extremely helpful.

Here is the food court review.

Check the map in the OP...

Both Nemo buildings are right near Animation Hall (lobby). Cars bldg. 1 and LK bldg. 10 are the closest for those two sections. None of the LM rooms are close to AH.
