Arrived today, staying in a LK suite. The resort is really beautiful. Definitely disappointed with the elephant graveyard 'playground'- there would have easily been room for a slide, monkey bars or something. The courtyard is lovely but I'm a little confused as to why they didn't do more.

I'm writing this from the table bed, and I can say that it is rather comfortable and firm (that's what I prefer). Any questions, let me know! :) I'll try to answer!

Double digit dance untilAoA!!!! We leave NC on 11/23 and will be stopping half way in Savannah. When my DH and I went last yr for our honeymoon we drove straight through. However, we thought we would split it up this time since we will have my DSD6 and DS9 months.

It's been a crazy week, had to get an MRI and steroid shots for a pinched.nerve in my back. I told Dr I have about 3 months to get better for Disney...so he better work his magic!!

Sounds like you will be arriving the same time!! Hope you get to feeling better soon. We have 96 Days and counting.

I will most definitely take a ton of pics of the LM section while we are there, and give any good scoops I can to make others stays more informative. Her test stay is for September 10, will be back home on the 13th, so hopefully will upload all the pics and info I can, as long as Mickey's Secret Service does not spot me and confiscate my camera and phone while snooping. :rolleyes1

And your welcome for the directions! I know how crazy and confusing those exits off I-4 can be. :crazy2:

Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to your review!

This may seem like a stupid question... or one that's been asked many times.

We are staying in LM the first week of Dec as well. I'm just wondering- It will be me, DH and DD5 staying in a room. While I know it may seem easy enough for two of us to share a bed, my daughter is impossible to share a king sized bed with at home - as she moves constantly. As for DH and I sharing, it could be done but he's 6'3 220 and needless to say this won't be an ideal situation for me as I'll have very little room left. I'm worried about being exhausted during the trip. Am I able to pack and use a blow up bed for my DD? Or can the hotel provide a cot? Whatever happens we'll make it work... but just thought I'd throw the question out there. I haven't stayed onsite since I was a teenager myself, so I'm not really familiar with resort rules. Thanks! :):)

I have used two blow up twin beds (twin boys 6'5" and 6'2") at the following

WL
POR
CB
POFQ
ASTAR SPORTS (SORRY CAN'T ABRIEVIATE):lmao:
ASM
POP

I think the fact that they can be used, stood up against a wall during the day and used again makes them very handy. And the fact that all other values have enough room to use them bodes well for LM. Take one along and I bet you find a place for it

Thanks for posting, fellow WNYer :thumbsup2, hope you are enjoying your vacation.

A few questions-

What kind of view do you have from your room?

How is the soundproofing?

Is the sofa bed comfy, too?

Thanks!

Thanks, having a great time so far!

We luckily got an awesome view. The only thing I requested was a non- first floor room. We are in building 10 (which could have a view of the parking lot) but we have a perfect view of the log with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa.

The soundproofing from the hallways isn't bad, but it's tough in the room. The walls are on the thin side and the toilets flush LOUDLY and the table bed gets the worst of both bathrooms. Light sleepers should avoid that bed. One of my roomies had to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and woke me up.

From what the two members of our group say about the sofa bed, it is pretty comfy. On the firm side but they liked it.

Hope that helped! Let me know if I can answer any more :)

Would you say there's room for a single-sized air mattress on the floor somewhere in the suite? We're staying in a Nemo suite next June and I know our nights will be more peaceful if we can put one kid on an air mattress. The videos and pictures I've seen make it *look* like there would be space, but I know those can be deceiving. We'd prop it up against a wall during the day, so it's ok if it will make floor space tight when we're using it at night.

Yes, we brought one and it's next to the queen bed in the master room in the bathroom. Plenty of space for it.

Thanks! BTW, we had an up close and personal meeting with Jack Sparrow in the cue for POTC during our 2009 trip. Made for an awesome photo op. :-) I had to look 2 or 3 times to make sure it wasn't Johnny Depp -- he looked just like him.

I have been back for a week from our stay at AOA, Finding Nemo, Crush building and I have to say, noise was not a problem at any time. Inside or out..We were right near the playground area and never did I hear children..nor when we were in the area of the fountains, did noise even elevate to a high level..Hope your time continues to be awesome:)

We're doing the dance, too! :dance3: I hope your back is better in time for your trip. :thumbsup2

My flight leaves Saturday at 11:45 pm
Yeah, needless to say I am not going to be sleeping much until we get to our suite at AoA

Have a great time!

We'll all have to have LGMHs when we get there. :wave2:

We did too in 2007; I don't know if we both had the same guy or not, but ours, also, was unbelievably good. He was 100% Depp. It was amazing how realistic this guy was; we were adults and my GFs were going bonkers over the guy (they love Johnny Depp LOL).

Can someone tell me on average how much family suites are per night. And also does the suite count as a deluxe room in regards to free dining ? Were booked at Ft Wilderness the first week of December but exploring other options with gas prices climbing back so high. Thanks in advance.

Don't know the price off the top of my head. But suites do not count as deluxe for FD purposes. Your benefit of being in a more expensive suite is that you can get free dining for more members of your party, up to 6 since that's what the room sleeps. So take 6 times the price of the quick service plan. That's your potential discount.

I'm feeling better then I did so I hope it continues!! We leave NC on 11/23 but won't arrive at AoA until 11/24. We decided to break up the drive for our sanity with the kids. We are so excited!!

We are staying in LK in 34 days! First time staying onsite since I was a kid.
Couple of questions for you, thanks for posting while you are on vacation! How firm is the bed in the bedroom? How far is the walk to the big pool and to the bus stop? Is there a bathtub in either of the two bathrooms? Also is there a safe and ironing board? And my most important question, how is the air conditioning, especially at night?

When you say plenty of room...would there be room for it and a Pack n Play? Alternatively, would there be room for a Pack n Play in the living room when the sofa bed is open? We are trying to figure out the best configuration to get all three small children in the same room as an adult.

Thanks.
