Checked in on opening day...AoA is beautiful!!!!!! The themeing is so well done. IMHO it is the deluxe of the values. Only a pool slide and balconies from officially being called a deluxe. The Big Blue pool is great with the zero entry, sprinkling jellies, and underwater music and voices. The grand opening pool party included all resort management and a visit from Mickey who joined in the dancing by the pool. The CMs are really on with their themed lingo. I was told to enjoy my story (stay), and several times told to just keep swimming when given directions. They have some resort specific shirts, cups, etc in the gift shop. All the food I have tried has been good. They use real plates and metal utinsils instead of paper or plastic here. Cars buildings look about ready to go. Lion King is coming along...I can see lots of characters in the courtyard, but rooms still need drapes. Can't see LM very well but outside of buildings looks cute. If you come here, check out the ladies restroom by the arcade...it is soooo pretty.
Regarding buses there has been no sharing with Pop, though for some reason my bus to MK had to take the road that circles both resorts before leaving.
FYI - we are a family of 5 and just spent over a week at Riverside...which we love too...but having the wonderful space in these rooms is hard to beat.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat...the Nemo rooms are great. I think I would stay in Lion King next.
Let me know if there are any questions...we check out Sunday.
Do the CM's mind when kids play in the landscaping? I have never allowed mine to do that. I'm wondering if it's frowned upon.

I thought the POP has that REALLY scary clown pool slide thing???
Do the windows open in the suites? I know it sounds like a silly question but I really dislike hotel rooms with no way to get any fresh air and that was one of my first thoughts when I read about the indoor corridors.

Very good to hear! Please post pics if you can! I'd like to see pics of the two different bathrooms!
Since you are there...... can you tell me if the suites have connecting doors or is each suite stand alone? My whole family will be at Finding Nemo for the Christmas holidays and I would like to know if I could request connecting suites as I am sure we will be visiting back and forth and having the connecting door would be a plus for us.... Thanks for any information you can give me!
There are a lot of open grassy spaces. Around the pool and buildings the landscaping looks as if t could be found undee water...even crushed shells and sand for mulch in places...very pretty.
Security CMs do ride around on bike.

The Little Mermaid rooms have windows that open? That's the drawback for me, too. I want an open window, door, or balcony to the outside. That's my claustrophobia coming through. That's why we'll be staying at Little Mermaid rather than a suite. Staying at Pop in 22 days, but can't wait to cross the bridge to see AoA!
