Regarding the bed questions, the one in the bedroom is on the firmer side. However I have a very soft bed at home and I had no trouble sleeping easily.

The Murphy bed is very easy to open. It is a pretty firm mattress on a wooden frame. DD15 and DD12 say it is very comfy. I find it less so than the regular bed. The sofa bed takes a little oompf to open. As with most sofa beds, a mattress that can fold up is less comfy than a reguler one. I could feel the metal frame under it too. DS9 thinks it is a perfect bed and has slept great.

Mousekeeping reassembles all the beds for you. BTW, mousekeeping is totally on the towel animals here. My DD was given a towel turtle as she walked down thw hall. We also got a giant Mickey head and a fish in the room.

OK, I just caved and moved our reservation from Pop to the LM section. I'm still not excited just because of how far it is from the main building and bus stops.

My agent says she has a map of the resort and thinks she saw bus stops down at that end of the resort. Anybody seen or heard anything like this? I'm doubting it but it sure would be nice.

I'm faltering as well. Thinking I may be switching to 2 rooms at AoA in the LM section instead of Pop.

The walk to the bus stop is what is making me doubt. I guess it can't be too bad, right?! :confused3

Of course, IF FD comes out for our dates & AoA isn't included, well, then I'll be moving back to Pop! :rolleyes1

Oh, I still think the walk will be bad. I just figured I'd always wonder if I don't give it a try. And why not try when it's brand spankin' new......

I just really wish they'd sprinkled some of the standard rooms in throughout the resort. I would have paid more. Heck, my price went down when I went from my preferred Pop room to AoA standard.

BUT...... I didn't want to regret NOT doing it. So I did. :goodvibes We'll see what my feet think of it later......

If you're doing 2 rooms, did you consider a suite at AoA since they're closer to the bus stop?

Yea, it will be bad, lol. I wish they had sprinkled them into the other sections as well, especially with a few different themes, my boys may hate me for making them stay in the LM section! :lmao:

I feel the same way, I want to stay here, I maight regret it if I don't, so may as well just do it!

I do have to say, since we're going in December, I'm very interested to see how they decorate for the holidays at AoA.

I did look at the suites. The only part that made me decide not to do them (besides the price! :headache:) was the fact that 2 of the older boys would have to share a bed & none of them were exactly thrilled with that idea.

The walk from the LM rooms really doesn't seem any worse than the walk from the furthest buildings at the other value resorts. On our last stay we were at ASMo in the furthest building and it was still only about 5 minutes. It didn't bother us.

That makes me feel a bit better. I've got nothing to compare it to, we haven't stayed in any of the other values in forever.
I wonder if it's as long as walk as the furthest buildings at POR back to the main lobby.... We were in building 38 at POR last trip & it was a good 10 minute walk back to the lobby or restaurants with a 2 year old.

Does anyone know it there is a "preferred" section of the Nemo rooms? Like to be closer to the Animation Hall? Or are they all the same?

I wish they have put standard rooms as well throughout the resort! I think they really messed up by doing that. Would it have been that hard to have some standard rooms in the different themes as well? I would like to hear their reasoning with that.

Might be a silly question but has anyone been able to get free dining at AOA? I called to book for right after opening weekend for LM and she said the pin didn't apply. Or maybe there were just no rooms open? :confused3

I was able to change mine to FD from Pop, but I thought that had to be booked by May 19th?

I think they are all preferred because there are only two nemo buildings and right next to the great hall.

I think you can just walk in the hallway to get closer instead of having to go down and walk outside

I have a pin on my account that is good until Dec. 20th. Which might be why it's restricted? I don't know, I could call back and ask for different dates I guess to see.

Yes, art of animation is included in the free dining pin that is out right now. We just booked ours for LM with the free dining pin.

We booked a LM room with our FD pin from Nov 27-Dec 4th. So I know it's available with the pin offer right now... don't know if it's included in the august-sept FD offer available to the general public though.

Does anyone staying near the pool know how the noise levels are? I'm planning to stay there for Marathon Weekend, and am super excited about the Nemo Suites.

But...looking at the map, I am now considering switching to Lion King as when I have stayed in a value before for races, there were kids screaming in the pool until past midnight!

But I am wondering if maybe because the doors are inside, the noise level is less? Of course, I'll be requesting a room without a pool view, but I know requests aren't always granted...and with LK, I would definitely be away from the pool...

But the Nemo suites are so cute!

We have free dining in August in Lion King.
