I think a lot will depend on whether they sell the annual passes right now or not. Like, how much am I willing to pay in day tickets soon after opening to participate in the "working the kinks out phase?"

Too bad it's a Friday. Kids have school.

Although we are considering a stay at GCH checking in Friday and doing the parks Sat and Sun, if we can get reservations both days.

I am a teacher, and my daughter is in 3rd grade. We have not had a sick day in over a year, so we will pull her out for the day and can do her asynchronous work when we get home.

Yeah, that's what I would do if I could but that is going to be the week of state testing at our high school.

Horrah!! I think this will be the case for many folks now, things look so much different than they did when WDW reopened.

I'd feel the same way, I'd especially want to know what will be open (shops/rides/dining) and what the hours will be. Touch of Disney really showed them that people will pay that high price for their Disney fix and with such limited capacity, they won't have a problem filling up the park without APs I imagine... at least at first.

I hope by the time we go park hours will look a bit more closer to normal... all I want right now is to sit in New Orleans Square at night with a Mint Julep in hand.

So, this was the first weekend of TOD and there were lots of mixed reviews. Lots of "working out the kinks" so to speak.

With that said, if you could score an opening weekend reservation to the parks, would you want to go right away? Or wait a week or two so they can "work out the kinks."

This is what I'm currently debating in my head.

I *want* to go opening day, but since my kids will have just resumed in person school, it’s not the right time. I did have it planned we would go for Thanksgiving. Now I’ve gotten so antsy, I’ve moved it to August. And then again to June.

So for now, June is my goal with August as my back up.

Probably a good bet. I suspect they'll want to have all the info set out before opening bookings. I'm just anxious, LOL.

I'm definitely not even considering opening day. I do think ToD is helping work out many of the kinks already, but I don't want to be there for the first day back. I like to read what others experienced and saw so I can make a game plan.

Plus I'm still trying to not get my hopes up until we know the ticket situation.

But I am cautiously hoping for at least one day (my birthday/mother's day) and then I'll try to wait until a new pass program is announced. If nothing by NYE (or by the time I would have to reserve NYE), I will probably just cave and buy tickets.

I really hope to be able to go on opening day. If we can get a room at GCH I will do that also. Crossing my fingers. My son's birthday is May 7th, so we also may try for an additional date in early May to celebrate that.

I am so nervous about how we can make reservations. I wish they would release that.

But I have to say, every time I think of going to Disneyland, I get a Cheshire Cat grin on my face. I can't wait!!

I'm resigned to this as well. I think it would be cool to score first two days, but at this point I don't need that stress or disappointment of trying to, so whatever days we get will be great.

If I was local, I’d consider going right away. Since I’m a 7 hour drive away, I think I want to wait until the kinks are ironed out. It’s a hard decision to make because my district randomly has April 30 off (I’m a teacher). Next option would be Memorial Day weekend.... or wait for June after school is out. Already planning a group trip with coworkers at the end of June, but there’s a chance I may squeeze in my first ever solo trip closer to right after school gets out. I just don’t know how much longer I can wait....!

Well, Disney's official announcement specifically said that hotel reservations do not guarantee a theme park reservation. It sounds like your TA is just making things up.

I hope she made it up because grand Californian is not in our budget at all

My DH is seeing chatter on Twitter that Disney is prepping third party sellers about tickets. Rumor is only 2-3 day tickets. No info about reservation system yet. Again, rumors. But exciting nonetheless!

Um... no . But they did sell 4 and 5 day tickets. Wasn't even trying to say a thing about APs. Just relaying info that he heard. Sorry to offend. I’ll keep the info to myself from now on. Have a great day.

But I found one of the sites being talking about.

No parkhoppers, just 2- and 3-day one-park passes. Their non-discounted prices:

2-Day One-Park
Adult: $235
Child: $220

3-Day One-Park
Adult: $310
Child: $290

I can't tell if this is real or if they're just anticipating things. (You can't actually buy anything.)
