First set of pictures from the meet this weekend.

DumboorBust and BarbforReal aka Dayna and Barb drove from Potato Con to Disneyland for the Haunted Mansion event. So a Saturday Meet was planned.

Poopie aka Rachael, Barb, Dayna, and I met at the Partner's statue at noon and then headed to Mickey's Detective School which is a little song and dance number at the Fantasyland Theater. We then headed over to the Disney Gallery and saw the Haunted Mansion display there. Dayna is thinking of buying some print on demand art for her computer room.

We then headed over to California Adventure where Bug Land is still not open to the public yet. Today is the grand opening. We took in a WWTBAM-PI show and made it on the list but not into the Hot Seat. Off to Soarin over California for a single rider line entry. Then it was off to The Lost Bar at the Disneyland Resort to meet up with MaryJo and Nick and Tink33 aka Lesley and her two kids, Tyler and Lily.

meet2.jpg

We all had dinner at Hooke's Pointe and Lily demonstrated her artistic talent turning a bread roll into me eating a french fry!!! As you can see, she was very proud of herself.

meet5.jpg

As we walked back to Disneyland.... the monorail wait was 20 minutes. I demonstrated that I could take pictures of people in a "Dan Murphy stealth mode" as well.

And Lesley never fails to support the DIS wearing her lime green bikini.

And the running joke with Dayna and Barb driving all over the western part of the US is Thelma and Louise...... So they got Guest of Honor badges from Lesley commemorating the trip. This is better if you click on the link.

Rachael, Lesley, Lily, Tyler and I stayed for the 10:30 Fantasmic show and then we split up afterwards with Rachael returning home and Lesley and the kids going back to their hotel.

Sunday, we met up with JohnTBap aka Lee Ann (I hope I got that right) and her DH Craig at the Blue Bayou. It is always exciting to see someone who is experiencing Disneyland for the first time. Here is Lesley giving advice to them inside the Blue Bayou.

meet6.jpg

Here is Mary Jo and Lesley calculating how much that "advice" is going to cost them.

meet7.jpg

Finally, we went into one of the lovely alcoves to get a group shot. Mary Jo was accompanied by Kelly this time.

At that point, we all split up. Our new Disneyland guest wanted to continue to explore the park. Dayna returned to the Disney Gallery, the rest headed off to the Haunted Mansion and I returned to Santa Barbara.

As always, it was great to see everyone. It is always a pleasure to meet a new DISer when they visit the DLR. We can't wait for Dayna and Barb to return. Of course, I will see Dayna, Barb, Rachael and Lee Ann at DIS Con in December.

Always so nice to see DISer Faces!

The closeup of "Thelma & Louise" is a riot! Kinda scary too as I don't know which ones got the gun LOL!!!

Thanks for sharing LK!

I am so laughing here - the roll picture, Lesley's welllllllll, and of course the guest of honor badges - thanks for sharing Dave

Excellent, TLK!! Thanks for posting!
I really like that picture of Thelma and Louise!

One of these days I'm going to visit DL again. It's been way too long since my last trip (like 1978).

Great photos TLK!

Great pics!! Looks like you all had a great time :)

Thanks for sharing, Dave, great pictures!!!! Sure do miss DL, a great park it is. It was nice talking to you all at Hooks Pointe, lots of familiar voices there. Thanks again.

What great pictures. I love the name tags! I hope you are bringing them to DCII!!!

<font color=navy>It was very nice seeing everyone, and Carrie, we'll let you know next time we go to the DLR. :)

Barb and Dayna were tickled lime-green when Lesley gifted them with their special tags, and they even drew attention with them (like quiet Barb & Dayna wouldn't draw attention anyways....

Dinner was nice at Hook's Pointe, and you couldn't ask for better weather this past weekend.... less crowds perhaps, but perfect weather, and even better company.

Here are a couple more pic's that I took while we were there...

Here are Barb & Lesley having a good time @ Hook's Point

Here's the group enjoying dinner. You have Barb, Lesley, Lily (who you can't see), Dave, Tyler, Nick, Me (if I were sitting down), Rachael, and Dayna.

006group.jpg

As Dave said, Lily was quite the artistic one, and she came up with her own rendition of Dave eating a french fry -- can you tell the real Dave in this pic?

I got a couple of "interesting" shots while we were walking through Downtown Disney. Suffice it to say, that I was walking behind everyone, and had a perfect view, and ... well, sometimes I just gotta take a shot.

<font color=navy>Sunday found us back at DLR again to meet up with the DISers, including Lee Ann, whom we hadn't met yet. As we passed the Rainforest Cafe, I took a shot of it. It is in the style of a Mayan temple.

001Rainforest.jpg

Here's another group shot of us - this time, TLK is in the pic, too. The names are: Row 1-Dave (TLK), Lily (Tink33's dd), Craig (JohnTBap's dh), Behind them - Dayna (DumboOrBust), Lee Ann in the Pirate's hat (JohnTBap), Tyler in front of her (Tink33's ds), me in the way back, Kelly in the Tigger ears (my dd), Barb (BarbForReal) in pink, and Lesley (Tink33) sans her lime-green bikini.

After the group shot, we went off in different directions - Dave went home to Sta. Barbara, Dayna went $hopping, Lee Ann & Craig went to take advantage of her one day in Disneyland, and Barb, Lesley, the kids & I went on some attractions, then up to the Gallery, where we met with Dayna. Dayna & Barb weren't sure if they were going to have to make an emergency trip to Walmart or not, but I would've if I were them. ;)

Here's a pic of the Blue Bayou Band - we stopped in front of them, and enjoyed their performance of playing music and tossing Mardi Gras beads to the crowd. While we were up in the Gallery, a CM was kind enough to twist the bead necklace into a star pendant - very cool.

While up in the Gallery, Lesley took some time with the kids to go on the balcony and play "I Spy" Disney version.

Some autumn decorations in Frontierland

Tyler & Lily riding BTMR. Lesley was in front with hands held high in the air.

Before we wanted to, it was time to say goodbye - till the next time.

On our way out, we saw a fireman band. I had never seen that before.

<font color=navy>In the spirit of New Orleans, here's a little lagniappe (something extra)....

Back in July, when Dave, Lesley & I went to DCA to watch the Beach Boys, we also went up to the Gallery to check out his print. I like this pic of Dave & his Mickey.

... and here was another grouping that kind of reminded me of the DIS for some reason ;)
