Bummer.

Tell me what you think....my oldest is 13 and her friend is almost 14, very responsible teens.....I am thinking about allowing them some park time sans parents and having them check in every hour via cell phone. Gabby has earned my trust and has great follow through. What do you think?

I think that if they are responsible teens and have the cell phone connection they should be okay. When I was a teenager I used to wander off by myself, now I am not so sure I would want them too. As a pair or a group I think that a couple of hours of exploring sans parents should be cool.

My son has been going to DL since he was 2 1/2 and knows the parks inside and out. I started letting him and a friend go off for short periods of time when he was 11. He always had a cell phone and checked in and we had a meeting place and time. He is very responsible and it sounds like your DD is too so I would say yes. Do as much as you feel comfortable with and she will most likely start to earn more time away.

That's what I was thinking. I will make them check in hourly.

:goodvibes Thanks! She's great as is her BFF. Maybe I will let Chloe tag along too- she's 11, will be 12 in December. They can ride things like ToT and Screamin' where having an even number doesn't matter. The girls will drool at the prospect of having some twee/teen time. :cloud9: I will throw in some treat money too. :thumbsup2 It's hard when they grow up but exciting too.

I remember the first time my son and his BFF got some tween time, his mother and I looked at each other and realized that they were growing wings!

 Such a myriad of emotions. You want them strong and secure but to still need you to a point. :upsidedow

I faxed in my villas request.............again. :rotfl2:

My BFF will be with us Sunday but Sunday isn't our BB day. :upsidedow All that worry for nothing. Man, I need a life. :lmao:

I haven't seen anything on the cabanas but like you said, I would expect them to be about the same as Vegas, maybe $300 or so?

I called because we are considering renting a cabana for 1/2 day for our June trip and this is the offical info:

Cabanas have seating for 6, a flat screen TV, small fridge stocked with 6 bottled waters, complimentary basket of fruit. They are $185 for a full day which is 9 - 6 or $110 for a half day, either 9:30 - 1 or 2 - 6. Full days can be reserved one month in advance and 1/2 days can be reserved 2 weeks in advance.

:thumbsup2 Looks like they will be showing F! and the fireworks will be at 9 pm instead of 8:40. :woohoo: And MM on a grad night? If they would give us some definitive WoC info, all would be right.
