Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

Good Morning, Jenny! Happy Friday! :grouphug:

My kids are finished with school next Thursday! Four kids, four schools can't wait until the mad drive is over. Next year we down to four kids, three schools who knows what happens the following year because our kiddos have a choice of 3 High Schools. So a little less driving :woohoo:!

That driving is maddening at best. I feel like a taxi. I love the lazy summer mornings. :cloud9:

My DH is becoming such a little kid. "We're doing Space right and how about Splash? And I ain't wearing no stinkin poncho! Don't forget about Toad and Goofy's house! When's our reservation for Goofy's Kitchen? I think he is getting worse than the kids!" :rotfl2: He also texts me at least once a day with a picture from his phone of a Disney Character "keep your eyes on the prize! :lovestruc

I love that! Yesterday I got home and my family, inclduing DH, was on the deck listening to Pandora radio on the Walt Disney World channel. :lovestruc They are all pumped up.

Well I'm off to locate the Newbie threads lots to learn MM order, FP order, Filtered Water, afternoon fast loaders etc. Then I will be playing with Ridemax to see what I can figure out!

Keep us posted. popcorn::

Just a few weeks now and I can't wait! :dance3:

:cool1: Yay for all the Junies!!

Hi there!! Happy Friday!!

It's two weeks until our kids get out too.

Last night was our last middle school band concert. I am kind of sad about that. We have been with the same band teacher for six years through three kids.

My DS is going to Great America tomorrow and then Six Flags Discovery Park next Friday. By the time we go to Disneyland he ought to be really in amusement park mode for sure.

Lucky kid!!!!!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2471456 Because we need yet another place to chat/commiserate. :lmao:

Yeah, Great America is a band trip, the teacher loves Great America and they go every year. Discovery Park is less than 20 minutes away and honestly I am not a fan so we never go. It is his 8th grade trip. I guess he is pretty lucky, but somehow I think that the rest of summer is going to seem pretty tame.:rotfl:

It sounds super fun! I bet he's excited!

:goodvibes Not silly at all.

Thank you.:goodvibes

So I was thinking that our saga=soap opera needs a name. Now I am avoiding the obvious title of "As the World of Color Turns" and "One World of Color to Plan Around." :lmao:

What do you think?

 Hmmm...a good soap name....The Young At Heart are Restless over WoC info?

I have been Ridemaxing my guts out this morning. DH left for work early and was VERY loud so I couldn't get back to sleep. I am sure that has nothing to do with trip excitement so we'll blame him.

Mine woke me up too. I so wanted to smack him. He was supposed to ride his bike to work. I had to get up an hour early. Argh.

:headache: Don't they know we need our rest?

:cool1: Woo Hoo!!!! :cool1: 3 weeks.....This is when I start driving everyone nuts by looking at our plans, watching massive ride videos, past trip slideshows & Disney movies & music all day long!!!!

::yes:: Me too! With 21 days left and our friends arriving even sooner, I am starting to feel the cruch to pack and clean but there is no point in going  with the cleaning too early as we still have to live here. ;)

:rotfl2: I did that when I was staging our home to sell. My family wanted to throttle me! Luckily we had a solid offer in 6 days but we ate on the deck every night with paper plates and I only allowed all 5 of us to use one of our bathrooms.

 October is one of my favorite times to go and the original reason we got APs. Oh the sweet irony of not being able to go.

Did you at least get to go anywhere cool for work?

I'm hoping that the weather will still be hot or semi-hot cause I really do want to lay by the pool and relax. I have so much planned each day that I'm trying to make sure there is atleast 1 day that I get to sit by pool, drink a cocktail and relax. What's your thoughts on the weather in October?

I was in China and Taiwan for work. Seems my work travel is getting a bit out of control as I'm heading to ALbany New York in July, Anaheim in August, China and Seattle in September, only to come home for a few days before leaving for Disneyland. I should have just stayed in Seattle, flew right to Disney and met my husband and nephew at the airport! Oh welll, those frequent flier miles are adding up!

:rotfl2: Hilton Head looks like great fun! Can't wait to read all about that!

I think a basket is a great idea. My guess is that Disney can theme it anyway you'd like.

If you'll have a car there is a Target and Food for Less each about a mile away. If not, Vons.com delivers. :thumbsup2

sierranevada posted the cabana prices somewhere in this thread and they weren't bad at all- cheaper than Vegas. I will see if I can find the post.

I'm very excited for Hilton Head too. I think that's going to be the most relaxing trip since it seems to be more low-key. We've decided it will consist of reading by the pool, drinking cocktails, eating good meals and completely relaxing.
I'm thinking basket too. I really wanted to have a little birthday party for him, like the one that they show for the kids on the vacation dvd, but I guess that's going a bit too far. It would be funny though to watch a 21 year old boy in his Mickey ears birthday hat, celebrate his 21st. My husband thinks I've lost my mind, but I can't help it. The biggest problem I have now is that I am not going to want to leave Disney to go see other things, but my nephew and my husband both want to take a few day trips. We will have a car so Target is good to know, that is my favorite place!

I think October is plenty warm to lay by the pool but we live in Utah now so once it hits 60*, we are in flip-flops. I would plan on it. Anaheim is inland and about 10* warmer than along the coast. :thumbsup2

Wow! You get around! What kind of work are you in? Sorry if that's too nosy.

:cloud9: Sounds heavenly. I was talking to DH last night and we are thinking that since we will have 6 full days in So Cal we really should head to the beach one day. Either that or lay by the GCV pool and have a cocktail or 3.

Target rocks! :woohoo:

They do have the bday party at the Plaza Inn still I think. We saw people of all ages celebrating. We did my DD's bday there when she turned 5. :thumbsup2
