Hi From Disneyland!
The gang is sleeping and I'm typing quietly from our room at DLH (standard AP7 rate in Magic Tower). So we left about 4pm yesterday, took our dear dog to a kennel (but I got her a luxury cage, whatever that is, so hopefully she's OK) and we threw some stuff in the car and hit the road in our hybrid so as to save on gas. Got to Anaheim area about 11:30pm and stayed in a Marriott in Fullerton (all Marriots in Anaheim were booked) where I could use my Marriott bucks for a free stay. Got a wake up call at 5:30am to get ready and leave for DLH to check in and made early entry at 7am. Wow!
And this morning at DL was great! Got a free stroller right off the bat with the Disney VISA. Then off to Peter Pan where there was a five minute wait. Walk on to Dumbo. Walk on to Toad's. DS3 didn't want to do Pinnochio, so we walked on to the Carousel where I rode the special horse dedicated to Julie Andrews. Then walk on to Alice in Wonderland. I waited for about 5 minutes for Matterhorn (did that by myself) while kids did tea cups and Alice in Wonderland again. Then walk on Buzz (two times) and DS5 did Star tours. Next breakfast in Tomorrowland and over to Pirates for a walk on, then Haunted Mansion walk on, a five minute wait for Pooh. Then a stop into the store for a tigger tail and rice crispy treat (i had a bite here and there, but didn't get anything). Then a ride over to the Pirates Tom Sawyer island for run around time for the boys (which they loved). Next Tiki room where I did get a dole whip (yum!). From here we headed to DCA for Monters Inc (5 minute wait), the Muppet Show, a few rides in Bug's land (all walk on). Was going to get the Tinkerbell drink, but got a frozen apple juice instead. And we walked over (not on) to Toy Story Mania, but didn't go on as the wait was 40 minutes. At this point (about 1:30 or 2pm), with fast passes in hand for Buzz (two sets), Splash, Indy and Soarin', we decided to go back to the hotel for a swim and a rest. Of course, took until almost 4pm for room to get ready and our swim was cut short due to a Baby Ruth hunt in the pool

. But we enjoyed lunch at Croc Bites (I think that's what it's called) and a quick tour of the VGC model while we waited for room. Now the gang is all sleeping (as I should be, but my adrenaline is still keeping me up) and we'll go back out for a few more hours this evening.
It's been a super fun trip. Not a lot of people here. Weather was great this am, but got a little warm in the afternoon (certainly not by Vegas standards, but in high 80s). Plans are to use some of those fast passes tonight and then start the day with Toy Story Mania tomorrow. It's been a whirlwind trip, but so far, oh so fun. And the boys are hanging in there!
I've walked a ton, tried to drink enough water and I'm starving (so I must not be eating enough). Hopefully, won't do any gaining while I'm here, but I'm not worrying about it. It's just a day and a half.
DH scores big this weekend! I have some phone pics, but unfortunately, my camera battery died almost immediately when we got here. I packed in like 1/2 hour, so I'm afraid I didn't have everything in order.
More later...
