Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Good afternoon weight-loss buddies!:goodvibes

I worked out last night and completed 4 miles! So I totally beat my July exercise goal AND I'm going to the gym again today with my sister in about an hour or so.

Last night I started using the weight machines at the gym since it was pretty empty. I worked my abs, legs, chest and biceps. I'm a bit sore today but I LOVE it!

Yeah Beth!:cheer2: I could not be happier for you! Especially after how down you were feeling yesterday! And that is a lesson to all of us as well...just because we don't think we did as well as we would like, our bodies could be doing great! We should never give up! Speaking of which, I had a lot more lunch than normal today. My mom went to my favorite Greek restaurant and got 2 lunch orders that we shared between 3 of us. It was soooo yummy! I did not count points at all, but I plan to stick to my target number of points all week and not use any more flex. I think it will work out just fine! I need to drink more water today though, my breath is very garlic-y. :)

So far sounds like people are doing ok on the weight loss for the week! Way to go! And Beth, you will soooo break that 30 lb goal this coming week!:thumbsup2

Greek sounds interesting. I've never had Greek food, that I can remember anyway. That's good the way you share meals. It really helps to cut back on calories. That's what we do at Disney, we all share snacks. :thumbsup2

Yeah, it helps save money, too! Right now I am finding that important! Plus it helps save more money for the disney trips! If you ever do have greek try the chicken souvlaki with rice! :thumbsup2 Yummy!

SABUSHKA: Yum...Greek food...you know I think Greek food is one of the healthier options. Not sure about souvlaki, but grilled chicken, tsasiki, dolmas, hummus -- all can fit in a calorie conscious diet (though probably not all at one time). I love Greek food!

CHERYL: Hope your massage went well. And have a great time at DL! I really think I need a massage. I'm so stressed and I don't really even know why, but I would love to replace these knotted shoulders for a fresh pair.

BETH: Great job on the weight loss! That's almost a sack of potatoes. WOW!

CRISTABEL: Go girl! You are doing so well with your exercise. I'm secretly putting you on the 10k Couch to Exercise list. That's just 6 miles of exercise...you're almost there!

Good morning all! I am starting off the day with a bottle of water, some vitamins and a healthy granola bar. Plus, DH and I have planned what we will be having for dinner so I know how to plan the rest of my eating for the day. My ds(3) is having his cousin (4) spend the night tonight. It is the first time I have hosted a sleepover since I was the one with the friends spending the night! We are going to do sugar free jello jigglers for an activity/treat. If the weather is decent we may go down to the beach as well, we'll have to see. Hope you all have a great saturday! And....you guessed it...water bottles in hand...now for the magic...lets see that water disappear...no, not into the plant on your desk...into your tummy!

That brings my weight loss to an even 10lbs! :cool1: :woohoo: My first mini goal completed AND on schedule!

According to the scales I've lost 7lbs. I only need to lose 3 more lbs to reach my two week goal! It's nice to see my hard work finally pay off!

Thanks! I think it will be fine. My husband gets off of work an hour early today so he will be able to help out.

I have been doing ok on eating so far today but food is calling to me! I need to say no! I would leave the house but ds just went down for a nap!

You can do it!!!! Stay strong! What did you say the other day? We are stronger then some chocolate or whatever it is that's calling to you.
Just think how well you did this past week. You are not going to blow that now.

Noelle asked me if she could make some brownies and I said ok so now they are sitting down in the kitchen cooling and the smell is making me nuts!!!!! And I have to go down and serve them once they cool. :scared1:

But I'm going for that 30 lb loss and no brownie is going to stop me.

Sarah, go brush you teeth and rinse with minty mouth wash. That always helps me. Then paint your nails or something that requires concentration. It will help take your mind of it!!!

Good idea, Beth. As soon as I finish this bottle of water, I will go brush my teeth and maybe clean out some files in the office...that's productive!

Well thank you, but this picture does not show my bottom half! I am shaped like a pear...small on top and large on bottom! That is where most of my weight is.

Just got back from a street fair. My ds3 got his face painted for the first time! He did such a good job staying still. And he really likes it and hasn't tried to rub it off!

Anyway, I have not given in to my temptation yet today! My nephew will be over soon so I had better get things ready!

I am shaped that way too!! I've always been smaller on top then bottom, even in high school when I was thin, I felt my hips were too big. :rolleyes:

Hi Everyone!

Congratulations to everyone on their losses. It seems like forever since I was online. I just caught up on everyone's progress. I've had a really busy week at work (no where as hectic as Cheryl). I did go to the gym a couple of times last week (I did a Habitat for Humanity build last Friday and it took me four days to be able to walk around normally). I really watched my diet and actually logged in a -2 loss this week! I haven't had that good of a week in 6-9 months. :banana:

I'm spending the weekend visiting my DS (18) he's been working this summer at a Boy Scout camp as staff. We spent the day at a Renaissance Faire, went to Wal-Mart and did laundry. Boy do we know how to have a good time! It's just great to get to see and talk to him again.

Anyway, I'll try and get back to the boards more often. Just knowing you all are here is a great inspiration to me and keeps me on track. Keep up the good work everyone.

And I think your day with your son sounds fun! Well, maybe not the laundry part. ;) But the Faire sounds like it would be a good time.
