Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Hello everyone! So I got a call from the scheduling office at my work yesterday to discuss my first day back which is this coming monday. Because I have been out for the last 6 weeks I am at the bottom of the totem pole so to speak on overtime. They have informed me that on Monday I will be working a double...16 hours in a row with no breaks!

So, has everyone had at least one bottle of water today? I haven't so here it goes....ok, there is one bottle down! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hello!

I did 4 miles at the gym yesterday. 1/2 mile of that on the stairclimber. I was dying! Only 1 more mile and I achieve my July exercise goal!:goodvibes I'll be going to the gym tonight as well.

I talked to Tyrae (DSis' DBF) who worked as personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness and he said I need to cut my calories down to 1400, the same as Diana (my DSister) who is 80lbs lighter than me! 1400 calories?!?!? How will I live?

Wow, 1400 calories!? I don't know if I could survive. I went on a website that said I should/could eat just over 2,000 calories to lose 2 lbs a week, but I'm calling b.s. on that one, because I've had less then 2,000 calories and my weight has gone anywhere. We can do this though! :cheer2:

Good job on the water and the doctor's appointment! Oh, your life sounds so busy! :headache: I think that Beth is right about scheduling in time for yourself. It's so important! Even a little pampering might be in order (I'm thinking a pedicure or something :idea: ...). That kind of schedule just doesn't sound like something that I could do day in and day out. Do you have the opportunity to get our of your office during the day just to get some fresh air and go on a walk? Can you schedule in time where you can just focus on yourself and rest? Taking care of yourself is just as urgent as taking care of all those demanding clients. For sure!

Actually, I DO schedule some "pampering"--because of my arthritis/fibromyalgia I try to get a massage once a week (tonight--thank the gods)--and I decided that once a month I am going to D-land and stay there--either at an on-site hotel if I can get a good rate or Hojo's or one of the other Harbor hotels. So--DBF (who says he doesn't care what we do at DL, he'll be my "puppy dog"!) and I are going this weekend to the PPH (because I got a screamin rate). We'll probably go mid-day on Sat. and stay until Mon. morning (when I will dutifully get up and go to work!)

So--I'm not a COMPLETE workaholic --- yet. LOL.

:hug: I know how frustrating that can be. In the past that would be the start of the end for me, but as strong amazing women we can look at what we did and know that it is in the past. Each moment we have the opportunity to shape our future what ever way we want. This moment choose to move forward toward your goals and realize that the past can't be changed but the future can. It may not be a fun weigh in but it is a clean slate for a whole new week! We can do this together!

Good morning everyone. I had a 3 lb loss this morning! :banana: I am very pleased with that. If I can lose 2-3 lbs each week for the next 6 weeks I will meet my goal of 16 lbs in 7 weeks (by September 12). Hope everyone did just as well, and if not I am sure you will do great this coming week! Fresh start!

I'm down a whopping 4 sticks of butter. (the scale just makes our losses seem too small...I need a visual :) )

Exercise:
14 miles run
1 weight session (I'll do second one today)
1 yoga class
1 swimming session

I was really happy with my five mile run on Saturday, but my body feels like it's been in recovery mode all week and just has been hard to move. Yesterdays run was just...ouch!

This week I am at 233.4 for a loss of 4.2 pounds. :yay: I am so happy considering I had rough days this week.

You are so right Sarah, in the past slip ups would have been the beginning of the end for me, but not anymore!! Now I see they are just that, one slip up in a lifetime of healthy eating and I am not going to let that send me back to old bad habits.

So far, since the second week of May, I've lost 29.6 pounds. SO CLOSE to getting that 30 pound banner!!! :rotfl2:

Nobody else showed up so I made sure he was taken care of and didn't get home until midnight. I ended up skipping lunch and dinner, so I want to give my body some recovery time.

Thanks, Beth. He is OK, as far as I know. He's in the ICU and they gave him a blood transfusion last night. I've never appreciated blood donors more then I do now. Thank you to all of you that donate blood!

Good afternoon weight-loss buddies!:goodvibes

I worked out last night and completed 4 miles! So I totally beat my July exercise goal AND I'm going to the gym again today with my sister in about an hour or so.

Last night I started using the weight machines at the gym since it was pretty empty. I worked my abs, legs, chest and biceps. I'm a bit sore today but I LOVE it!

Yeah Beth!:cheer2: I could not be happier for you! Especially after how down you were feeling yesterday! And that is a lesson to all of us as well...just because we don't think we did as well as we would like, our bodies could be doing great! We should never give up! Speaking of which, I had a lot more lunch than normal today. My mom went to my favorite Greek restaurant and got 2 lunch orders that we shared between 3 of us. It was soooo yummy! I did not count points at all, but I plan to stick to my target number of points all week and not use any more flex. I think it will work out just fine! I need to drink more water today though, my breath is very garlic-y. :)

So far sounds like people are doing ok on the weight loss for the week! Way to go! And Beth, you will soooo break that 30 lb goal this coming week!:thumbsup2
