Our DD7 and DD10 are doing Synergy in Science on June 14th and DD13 and DS16 are doing Dynamics of Technology.

How fun to "know" someone in the class already! My kids will be DD10 and DS8 when we get there (my DS5 will be bummed he can't particpate, but I think he'll be happy when he finds out it means a morning at the parks by himself! No waiting for the big kids to go on the bigger rides!).

I have a feeling DH will attend the class with the older kids, and I'll be with the little guy in the park. Since this trip was a bit unexpected for us to be doing, I'll gladly let DH choose whetever option HE wants. LOL I'd love to see the class, but I also think it would be so fun to go through the park with just one of my kids all to myself.

FYI - when you do trade through RCI you have to pay a $95 fee when you check in for use of Disney Transportation. Also, the Disney resorts are A LOT more points than staying off site. I have a quick question for everyone. I got a group together (throught the Disboards) of 10 kids. I am going to send in the form today and put the Group under my Church Youth Group. Do I need to put the Church's address in there or can I put my address on the form. I don't want anything sent to church - I want it sent to my house. Just not sure if they send anything to the address listed on the form or not?

Also, as I understand it the tickets have to be purchased by one person. Can I ship them to my work - so someone will be there to sign for them?

I really like that time of year, MNSSHP, weather, maybe even Y.E.S. class, too....although last October was our first time ever to go! It just works out better for the kids/school, so if the stars and planets align....we'll get to go again before 2012....fingers are crossed

Based on the fact that I had never heard of the YES program until I read about it on the DIS, I have a feeling that most of the class participants will be DIS'ers.

I love science and technology, so I will probably be the one going to Synergy in Science with DD7 and DD10, while DW will be hanging out in the parks with DD2, my mom, my brother, and his girlfriend. DD13 and DS16 are old enough that they don't need to be accompanied by a parent for the Dynamics of Technology class. Although to be honest, I kind of want to go to that class too.

I think we're up to at least 4 Dissers from here that will be at the June 14th class in EPCOT! We'll have our own little meet and greet.

Now if you'll all say a prayer for us please The company I work for (20 years!) is closing the building but offering us the opportunity to move to three other sites in the US, but I simply can't relocate due to family here. They are deciding right now who will get the opportunity to work virtually from home and other virtual jobs will be posted so I'm waiting with baited breath for my answer. It's likely if I end up on severance we'll have to cancel our June trip. I pray this doesn't happen for more reasons than I can describe. Prayers please!

We've been several times, but every time has been late spring or mid-summer. Two years ago I took the kids for Thankgiving and it was great! Love going in the fall. It as a bit chilly at night for my little one, so I think earlier in the fall the better. Either way, we can't wait!

My job was in danger this year. My (past) company sold us to another group. I lost 15 years worth of seniority but, I do still have a job.

I know how stressful the waiting can be. Keep your options open.

Thank you!! I know you guys understand! This trip was about new experiences for us - we're staying at POFQ and we've always stayed at the POP, we're doing the YES class, not doing the dining plan, going in the summer so we can experience not worrying about missing a few days of school and being able to stay longer at night. I'd be devastated to lose my job situation (of course) but to cancel the trip will be a different type of sadness but one I know in my head (not my heart ) that I'd have to do. Depending on the situation, however, we might consider "downgrading" to the POP, driving (we've never driven and it's about 10 hours) and cancelling a few ADR's at TS. We'll see... I went through a lot of posts in this thread, but not all 1500. Can anyone tell me if or when they expect individual sign ups for September 2011? we're going 9/23 to 10/1 and would love to enroll my daughters (and get discounted tickets).

Also I saw some people got 8 day tickets - anyone hear about or get 9 days? Is the "premium" tickets include waterparks & park hoppers?

My DH found out his company was closing and that his last day would be the week after our fall trip. We were 4 weeks out.

I cried at the thought of having to cancel our trip - to be honest I was more upset about that than him losing his job (we had known it was coming for several years and it was nice to know the end was finally in site) We had APs, airline tickets, DVC and gift cards to pay for dining so not going would not have saved us anything - the money was already sunk. We decided to go and just enjoy the week but if we would have been able to recoup our costs then we would have never gone! Now I don't know when we can return since he isn't working yet and it is hard to not know when we will be able to go again!

I hope everything works out!!

Thank you so much! At this point I can get back all the $ since we have not bought airline tickets yet. I told myself it doesn't hurt to leave all as is and pray for the best outcome and then we'll really celebrate!

At what point does everyone sign up/buy their tickets? We're about 90% sure that we're going June 19-24. I'm working on getting points rented to stay at AKV. I'm looking to sign our ds(6) up for How Things Move on June 22 and our dd(11) for Animation Magic on June 23. As anxious as I am to get plans solidified and tickets bought, I'm wondering if I can hold off a bit to buy the tickets (in case something would come up so that we can't go) or if I should go ahead and purchase them now.

My dh is very impressed with all the info I've gathered. He said "you're so much better at this than I am. I never would have known anything about this YES program or renting points or any of this stuff."
