Thank you!! :) I know you guys understand! This trip was about new experiences for us - we're staying at POFQ and we've always stayed at the POP, we're doing the YES class, not doing the dining plan, going in the summer so we can experience not worrying about missing a few days of school and being able to stay longer at night. I'd be devastated to lose my job situation (of course) but to cancel the trip will be a different type of sadness but one I know in my head (not my heart :rotfl2:) that I'd have to do. Depending on the situation, however, we might consider "downgrading" to the POP, driving (we've never driven and it's about 10 hours) and cancelling a few ADR's at TS. We'll see... Thanks for the support! :lovestruc

We are driving for the first time, too, about 10 hrs. And I booked a townhouse in Windsor Hills for $100 a night! 3 bed, 3 bath, and private pool. I plan to eat breakfast in the townhouse, and eat several other meals there too. We are doing some of the lower value table service meals, like 'Ohana breakfast and SciFi lunch, and some nondining plan meals like RFC and TRex, so I'm not missing the dining plan at all this time!

See you there!

Our DD7 and DD10 are doing Synergy in Science on June 14th and DD13 and DS16 are doing Dynamics of Technology.

My DS,16 is also wanting to do the Dynamics of Technology on the 14th. I'm hoping that all the spots aren't gone by the time we can book.

We can't book until 2/12 so I've got my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that there will be a spot for him :)

We just signed our kids up for the Wild by Nature class on June 14! Originally were going to be in Disney 06/05-06/10, tried to organize our own class for that time frame, got denied by Disney, and then after crunching numbers realized it will cost us about the same to just EXTEND the trip to do the class on the 14th! :cool1: So now we will be at Disney 06/05-06/14!! (We will leave right after the class to start our drive home.)

If anyone else signs up for this class, let me know! :thumbsup2

I went through a lot of posts in this thread, but not all 1500. Can anyone tell me if or when they expect individual sign ups for September 2011? we're going 9/23 to 10/1 and would love to enroll my daughters (and get discounted tickets).

Also I saw some people got 8 day tickets - anyone hear about or get 9 days? Is the "premium" tickets include waterparks & park hoppers?

Thanks in advanced,

I was told 2 days ago they were in the process of finalizing Sept/Oct and would release that info very soon!

it's saying homeschool days Oct

I sent Heidi an email hoping that homeschool days would be the same as last year. When she replied she indicated that this year they would be in October.

we are going late Oct and i am hopeful for Homeschool days or Individual Enrollment. We do homeschool so that is what i would prefer =)

I feel spoiled because there are so many that would love to *only* have to drive 10 hours! :) We just prefer flying since it's only 1.5 - 2.0 hours in the air. We'll see what happens :thumbsup2 We've gone w/out the dining plan before when they had a $300 gift card offer and used that for the food and did well. Luckily both myself and DS eat small portions and usually can split meals. You have a great budget plan down - I can tell! ;)

i'd advise picking up your tickets as soon as you are positive you are going. Non homeschoolers grabbed them for the January days. We weren't able to get in. They should hold them for homeschoolers, imo.

I was a little nervous about buying tickets for June now, but I was more worried that the classes would fill up and we wouldn't be able to attend. So, I am just crossing fingers that nothing happens to prevent us from going.

Thats aweful! They should have people show an HSLDA card or a cover school enrollment form with children's names (but i guess not all states require those do they?)

My sister has DVC and is booking for her family and mine together we have 6 homeschooled children. We really hope homeschool days will be in Oct (we are looking at Oct 16-21) this will be my oldest daughter's "graduation trip" and she has requested going for the Halloween events. It will also fall between my middle child's birthday, hubby's birthday, and my sister's middle child's birthday. So we have a ton of celebrating.
As soon as fall dates for Homeschool days and Individual enrollment go live we will jump on it. I dont wait this late usually but we are at the mercy of the Disney Youth Education program's website. Thanks for the head's up :thumbsup2

Same here... The worry about classes filling up won, as we registered and ordered tickets yesterday for the June 14 class... :thumbsup2

What fun. I was bummed to have missed the class. The class they they attended was ok, but the cats one would have been perfect for my youngest.

I hope everything works out for your group.

I am a little confused. Do you have to register by the 14th? We are going in September, but I don't see the dates listed for that yet. Will they be up by the deadline for open enrollment?

It seems that the maximum has been cut back to 7 day tickets.

But you can indicate in comments section the number of days you would like and see if it can be done.

If they are holding to 7 day tickets then you might want to think about buying the Premium Tickets because that will give you an equal amount of days for waterparks and Disney Quest so a 4 day Premium will give you 4 days of park hopping for the theme parks MK/DHS/AK/Epcot; and you will also have 4 "plus" days to use at a waterpark or Quest so if you did one of these on separate days it is like having an 8 day ticket. Just keep in mind you do need to have a theme park admission available to use for any day that you are scheduled to attend YES class even if it is a class that takes place before theme park opening those attending have to swipe their park ticket at entrance turnstiles.

And the waterparks/Quest component of the Premium ticket I do not think allows hopping from waterpark to waterpark on same day or from waterpark to Quest on same day; as far as I know this feature of the ticket will require an admission be used up each time you want to go to a different waterpark or to Quest ( ie on Monday morning you go to Typhoon Lagoon = 1 "plus" admission and that afternoon you go to Quest then another "plus" admission gets used )

:goodvibes

I am SO glad I found this thread!! We are going in November and all I can find right now would be DDs ticket price - the 5 day hopper would be about $105 less than Undercover Tourist. Anyone know the adult prices? Has anyone heard when the November class may be released? We would be doing individual enrollment.

Thanks!

The adult tickets are the same price as the tickets for the kids participating in the program. It is an awesome deal!
