We are looking to book the June 23rd animation class at DHS.
I have at least 2 of my kids going already, possibly all 4 if I can talk the older girls into it (the class is for ages 8-18).

I know they'll still let you use the tickets even if the class gets cancelled, but it sounds like a really fun thing to do, so I hope enough people sign up! :cheer2:

We are looking into this class as well. We have 3 kiddos ages 9,15 & 16. I hope they let us enroll soon! The wait is killing me!!

I am also looking for a group to join the first of June(5th-11th). I have a 12 and 5 year old DD's. I can do different classes for the girls but am really interested for a class for my 12 yr old. I have PM a couple of people going at the same time to see if we can form a group. PM me if you are interested in anything at this time. Thanks.

I'm putting together a group for this time frame! We have 5 already just with our kids (our 4 plus a friend), ages 9 to 17. Plus a few more people from the boards interested. Looking at classes for the 9-18 age group. I can include your 12-yo dd if you would like?

When do you receive the information of where to show up for the class. We are leaving tomorrow morning and have not received any information about the Wild by Nature class for next week.

June 4-11--I have a son (15) and daughter (11--nearly 12 then)

Oooohh! I haven't check this thread for awhile. I am soooo happy to see that other Disers will be with us on 2/14 in the MK. We will be bringing 5 kiddos with us and cannot wait! The kids are not thrilled that we are meeting at 7:15am but, they are soooo excited.

Yay! So, that's 9 for our class!

I don't even want to think about meeting so early, though. That will not be fun for any of us.

I thought the class was meeting at 815 in the magic kingdom. will we get a confirmation email of where to meet and what time? i think they said they would email when the class had enough members.

I'm fairly certain we're going June 21-25, and my 11 year old would be over the moon with the Animation class. I've been looking at one for my 6yo son, also. Is anyone looking at getting a group together during this time, or if there's one open for individual enrollment (like the 6/23 animation) do we just sign up as individuals? Is there a difference?

I was interested in the individual open enrollment for the end of this year but after emailing WDW about this they informed me that there will not be any open enrollment for Novemeber and December of this year.

With that being said is anyone planning a group class that we could possibly attend? We are booked for Nov 27th through Dec 5th. My DS will be 7 at the time of travel.

A few questions I have about the class program in general if someone could help me?
I read on the website that only 2 chaperones may attend per group, is this enforced? I am a pretty overbearing never outta my sight mother (but I'm really nice and friendly I swear:thumbsup2) therefore I would need to attend too. Is each group member responsible for sending their own payment into WDW or does the group send it in together? Are 9 or 10 day tickets available? I only saw pricing for up to 5 days on the website.

Thanks for any help. I tried to find all the answers I could but this thread is very loooooong now and I'm afraid I'd be on vacation before I got it all read so sorry for any duplicates!

Hi! :wave2:

I know for sure that at least 2 of my girls (possibly all 4) will be signed up for the 6/23 animation class. I've also had 2 other moms here tell me they are looking into the same one, so it is looking pretty good for that class! :woohoo:

We will be signing up using the individual enrollment option ~ so you won't have to worry about starting up a group on your own. My older girls are on the fence about it, but if it comes down to the class being 2 people short (minimum of 10 for them to hold the class), they'll sign up. :thumbsup2

I've gathered a class for September for my family. Sil & I had 8 kids in the same age group, so each of our families are bringing one more kid-friend to complete the 10 kid minimum. I had a friend ask if she could get in on the class for her 3 kids, too. I was under the impression it was 1 chaperone per 5 students.. period.., but it turns out that they "round up for the chaperone count" (CM Leah Rosch's words) so that you could only have 2 chaperones for the first 10-14 students. After the 15th student is added, you add the 3rd chaperone.

The offer up to 8-day-tickets once you get ready to purchase the tickets, but some have said you can put in a special request for longer with your application and they will usually accomidate you.

Not sure about payments yet. You get a Group number, so that is what we used when signing up my friend's kids. We haven't heard yet if we did it right or when she's getting her tickets. If that question has not been answered here by the time I find out, I'll come back and update you.

Does anyone know if you can add more tickets after your register for open enrollment? My dad wants our whole family to go, but my sister is resistant. DS and I are going regardless. I plan to book his YES program and order our tickets as soon as registration opens, but it could be months before my family's plans are set. I'd love my nephews to do the class as well, but if the class fills up, I hope we can at least get more tickets for our group.

Are you looking for more kids to participate in your Sept group or is your group already full?

I'm not necessarily looking for more kids, but I could probably add more if you were interested. The chaperone situation would be the thing that would be the deal breaker/maker, in my opinion. We already have 2 chaperones with the promise of chaperone status already given to a specific 3rd adult if we end up getting up to 15 students. How old are your children? Would you feel comfortable with them being in a class with strangers until the park opens & you could "sneak up to the class as a bystander ;)" ? Our class is scheduled for 9/14 at Magic Kingdom at 7:15am. If you're still interested, feel free to PM me.

Hi I was wondering if anyone was putting together a group for 7/3-7/9, 2011? I'm actually looking for 2 classes because of ages. One for my DSD who is 5 and one for my DD, she'll be 13 and DSS who is 12.

Thanks!

Oh and if anyone is putting a group together for Nov. 27-Dec. 3, 2011, I would be interested in it for my DD13. :)
