Man I'm So tired, the too tired to sleep kind of tired. So I'm sitting here, needing to sleep but can't! arrrrrgh.
Coming on here and thinking about the cruise and Disney makes me so happy. Its nice to think about going on the trip and getting to do fun things I've never done before. I'm really looking forward to just hanging out with my sis and laughing our butts off!
I love reading everyone's stories and trip reports and what's goin on in your lives. My life is pretty boring but I just thought I would share a story from my past.
Its a little story about nuthin at all. Nothin relevant, or life changing just a little disney related story.
My family was fairly poor when I was a little girl and my parents saved and saved and scrimped and saved and finally we had enough to make the long trek to
Disneyland. We were so excited, this was our first official real vacation, with a hotel and everything! No tent camping for us this time, it was restaurants all the way, and best of all we ended up at the happiest place on earth!
We were soooo excited, it was over 20 years ago and I can still remember parts of it as if it were just yesterday. Most of the memories are happy, VERY happy, of course.
But I DO very clearly remember running up to see the Dumbo ride, my most favorite favorite character and what do we see? Fantasyland under construction!!!!!
Oh dear it was nearly a scene from National Lampoon's Vacation. If my parents hadn't taught me to "be grateful for what you have because so many people aren't as lucky as you" I probably would have had a fit!
Its hard to stay sad at Disneyland though so I'm sure we just trekked on and rode Big Rock Thunder Mountain for the 100th time.
I was such a lucky kid and can't believe what great disney memories we made as a family on that trip. I can't wait to make more memories on this cruise, and hope to someday be able to have kids that I can ride on Dumbo with!
Hope you guys have Disney stories, memories you'd like to share too....
(especially if they involve telling me what it is like riding dumbo

we never made it back to disneyland and I've never been to WDW so feel free to tell me how boring the Dumbo ride is, and how you're sure I didnt miss anything and its not nearly as great as I think it is.....) siiiiiigh
