Disney Wonder May 25th, 2008 Double-Dippers check in here

My TA is finally priority mailing my docs tomorrow. Woot!

I keep buying more and more clothes for this trip. Now my husband has a whole new wardrobe. We leave in 9 days!

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: Hello, we are first time cruisers. Our party has 15 adults and 11 children from age 8 down to 10 months. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: We are celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday by taking a disney cruise with all but one of her descendants. My kids are ds 7, dd 6 ds 4 and ds 10 mo.s Have one brother & sister-in law with a ds 4, my three cousins and thier husbands and reapective children--dd 8, dd 6, ds 4, ds 3, & ds 2. My father and his girlfriend plus my aunt and her husband...then Great-gran completes the group. My kids are excited about a first plane ride plus all the wonder of disney. The rest of the family lives in GA but we hail from a wee town in NC near the coast. My kids little minds are going to be blown away... the tallest building is six stories here... They are looking forward to the pirate night since we are only 40 minutes from where Blackbeard ran his ship (the queen anne) aground (Beaufort inlet) to avoid capture. Lots of pirate stuff around here. Look for them with matching black vests and cut off pants...well the boys match...sister is in pink of course.pirate: pirate: princess: pirate: pirate:

Some one mentioned a book swap... we will be up for that. My dh plans to bring a suitcase of them...pile them up beside a deck chair and move only for emergencies. :rolleyes1

Query: Anyone out there have any tips for traveling with babies? Anyone had good experiences with a restricted diet? We are gluten free.

I started packing two weeks ago...ready to go right now. Found some great ideas on the dis boards for travel/plane activities. Any one have any information on the cruise treasure hunts/hidden mickeys?

Cheers

9 more days until we leave! At this time in 9 days, we will be on our flight down to Orlando. I can't believe it's almost here!

~Mom & Daughter DCL Cruise #3~

I can't believe it is almost here either!! We are so ready. Just got off the phone with Shirley from The Perfect Gift. I ordered dd a medium sand pail filled with goodies and dss a collapsable cooler with refreshments and sunscreen because I am sure he will forget to pack some.

Eight more days for us and we will be on the road to Florida!!:cool1: I just ordered two sand pails with all the goodies from Shirley too! My boy's will be so excited when they see them.:thumbsup2 Everything is coming together now, I just need to pack and wrap up some lose ends. Any suggestions on some fun car games for a three and five year old for our road trip? Any ideas would be much appreciated. I am also wondering if there is a specific time and place set up to meet?:confused3 We can't wait and we are counting the days!!

We're driving from Oklahoma -- 21 hour drive. Yes, we are insane, why do you ask?

Oh, and two days ago my daughter started running a fever!!! We're going to the doctor today. I'm actually more worried about my husband or I catching it in the next couple of days, as I assume 7 days is long enough for her to get well!

Ohhh no Jen! Here are some get well pixies for your daughter and some stay well pixies for the rest of your family :pixiedust: pixiedust:. A few years ago my dd started running fever and complaining of a really bad sore throat the day before we were leaving for Disney. I brought her to the doctor that day and she was diagnosed with strep throat. He gave her a cortizone shot and some antibiotics and she was better by the time we got on the plane the next day and we ended up having a great trip!

We are driving 2 hours to New Orleans and have a short 1 hour and 50 minute flight to Orlando.

We will be leaving Maryland next Friday for our road trip to Cape Canaveral. It is a 15 hour drive with no stops. We may see some of you in Georgia as were passing through!:) Wishing everybody a safe trip via car or plane!:thumbsup2

Jen-My son was running a fever earlier this week. I brought him to the pediatrician and he was diagnosed with an ear infection. He is now being treated with antibiotics. I'm now worried about the rest of us.:sad2:

Jeanne

Jeanne--

Oh no! Luckily DD only has a cold, and the doctor said if her fever isn't gone by Monday, she'll give us a prescription for antibiotics. But I am using the Germ-X like it is going out of style. I'm crossing my fingers for you guys!

One week to go! Were flying out Saturday in Shreveport,La about 1:30pm and it will take us about two hours. A 14 hour drive normally with few and short stops.

On the side note, as everyone seems to be dealing with, is that my DD6 is trying to fight off bronchitis. She has not run fever since last week, but stills has a productive cough that is improving. We are now on a second round of antibiotics. My DD does not take meds very well and is doing a great job taking it only because of the trip.

GO New Orleans HORNETS!!!!!

See you soon,
Stephen - DH
Angela - DW
Chloe - DD 6
