Disney pin codes + Bill = TROUBLE *11/01 Almost time for our Happy Place*

ok that does it Bill HAS TO START DOING MAN TRAINING!!! How unbelievably awesome is he?:cool1:

Maybe you can ease Josh into Disney by doing some "guy techie things" first. If he is into computer/gaming stuff agree to leave him at Innovations etc while you guys have fun.;)

I can't believe the dog has a hidden mickey..that's kinda weird and cool at the same time..:thumbsup2

Bill is the man that's all I gotta say.

Hi Tracy, I saw the link in your siggie and followed :goodvibes

Wow Bill is so thoughtful, I can't wait to hear about the big reveal :thumbsup2

What a sweet gesture and sacrifice on his part!

Your son sounds somewhat like my youngest son. Mine says he is probably coming on our all-family summer trip, and I hope that ends up happening. Even though he's not a big Disney person, there's nothing that would make me happier than having all my family with me in Disney World! I think if he can get a buddy to come with him so that they can go out into Orlando and do some non-Disney stuff, too, he might actually come.

I know Hannah and Christian will have the time of their lives, and I hope this will be a most magical trip for all of you!

Josh did enjoy Disney when we went in Feb. 2006, I think he just associates Magic Kingdom with small kids for some reason. I have photographic proof he had fun on that trip :thumbsup2.

Hannah and Christian are just adorable - love those secret weapons! How very sweet of you and Bill to offer and take these kids to WDW. Is it their first trip ever? I am so excited for you guys and can't wait to see how this all plays out. :)

Hannah is so sweet, we were dropping her off at Abbey's mom's one day and she came around to my side of the van, looked up at me and said "aren't you going to hug me goodbye?" My heart flip flopped we adore her. Christian has ADHD, is really smart and soaks up knowledge. He is always asking questions, I love it. I have some of the Imagineer's Guides and I think I will take them so he can read on the way to Disney! It is their first trip!

Hi Tracy!! As soon as I saw you had a new PTR going I got my butt right over here to join you. Your plans should make for an interesting trip! Bill's the best!! I can't wait to hear about the surprise reveal. :thumbsup2

Hello and welcome! I think it will be interesting too, Bill is the sweetest man ever. We haven't figured out how exactly to tell Josh and Abbey, I do know I want the reveal to the kids to be a total surprise the day we leave to go to Orlando though. It will avoid all the "how long until we go to Disney" questions over and over.

He loved Innovations in 2006, we spent a ton of time there. Christian will love that too.

Hello Stretchy!!

I can't believe the dog has a hidden mickey..that's kinda weird and cool at the same time..:thumbsup2

Bill is the man that's all I gotta say.

The hidden Mickey freaked me out. He was sleeping, as usual, and I looked over at him and thought I was seeing things, that is why I took a pic of it.

Hello!! I didn't know what you were talking about until I went back to Amy's TR, she is too sweet. Thanks for joining in.

Amy was such a sweetie to talk about my PTR in her TR. Please go read DisMomAmy's TR, the link in is her signature. Those boys are just adorable.

Joining in!

Maybe I can watch Ace for you while you're away? :rotfl:

As long as your area doesn't get a lot of thunderstorms or you would have a lap dog the entire time :rotfl:.

Hello!! So nice to see you here. I will have to go see what you have going on in September.

Thank you so much for all the kind words about us deciding to take this trip. I was taught that family should always come first. I thought I would explain why this trip was so important to me.

For the first five years of my life I didn’t know what a Dad was, because my parents got divorced when I was about a year old. I don’t have any memories about my father, just pictures since he didn’t come around at all after the divorce.

When I was six years old my Mom started to date the man who became my “Dad”. In my eyes he was my Dad before they got married. He accepted that role right after he met me. Every weekend he would come over to our house and spend time with me without my Mom. He put forth the effort to get to know me, to become my friend, and to love me. He took me to his Mom and Dad’s house and they accepted me just like he did. He got his wonderful personality and kindness from them. They always played board games with me.

It always seemed like he would make sure I was able to do what I wanted, like go to camp. He helped pay for it and helped talk my Mom into letting me go. After they got married, he wanted me to be his son officially. He adopted me.

He showed me that it was worth making sacrifices for our family like not fixing up his dream car, a 1966 Corvette Stingray because he felt the money needed to be elsewhere. He made sure I had the surgeries that I needed. His emotional support really helped me through some tough times.

He showed me that spending time with each other was more important than anything else. He made sure he was home from work every night in time to spend at least an hour or two with me talking about my day, school etc. This gave my Mom a break and it helped establish the relationship he and I have today. He is a kind, loving, humorous man.

I have always been a music lover. My Dad and I have seen almost every 80’s Hair band out there at least once. We had fun together at the concerts, he liked the music too. He always wanted me to be able to feel as normal as I could, he showed me that anything was possible.

My Dad took my Mom and me to Walt Disney World for the first time when I was 10 for my birthday. There was only Magic Kingdom and Epcot then. That was our first real family vacation.

I remember all the good times we had on that trip and I wanted to share that experience because everyone should go to WDW at least once. We took Josh when he was 17, that was over 3 years ago and he still talks about that trip all the time.

I want to show Hannah and Christian what they have been missing. The tv shows do not even begin to show you the magic of Disney. Walt had the right idea of how a theme park should be, to bring families together. That is what I want to do, bring us together and have memories to last a life time.

I hope to show Josh how my Dad showed me that it is ok to be a kid with your loved ones. I want to show him that spending quality time with the people in your life is the most important thing you can ever do.

Every Sunday my Dad calls me to talk. We joke, we talk sports, and we talk about our lives. I always look forward to those calls, he is a great man.

I hope you stick around and keep reading our report, we will need help with planning for the kids, this is new territory for us.

Please post too, Tracy feels like no one is reading if you aren't talking to her. If you haven't noticed she likes to talk a lot :rotfl:.

Bill.

I am man enough to say that I cried like a baby reading your post.

You are someone that we should all aspire to be......

You are a great man......

Ok Jordan, now you have me crying :sad1: and Bill is giggling at me :rotfl:.

I am truly blessed to have him in my life and it doesn't hurt that he is handsome too .

Wow Bill! You've got me all teary eyed this morning also. What a beautiful post. Your dad sounds like an incredible man and he's obviously taught you well. Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

Hi Bill!

Thanks for posting - it sounds like you know your priorities! :thumbsup2 I'm so glad you and Tracy are able to do this for Josh and his family. They are all very lucky to have you. Your dad sounds like a great man - it sounds like you learned a lot from him.

Looking forward to hearing from you again during Tracy's report. :goodvibes

Amy

What a blessing that God sent that wonderful father into your life and that you are choosing to follow his example!

I'm so looking forward to reading more about you and Tracy; you were meant for each other, I think! ::yes::

Kathy

Hi Tracy!

I "see" you around many of the PTR/TRs I read and after both Kathy and Amy pimped your PTR, I had to come over!

Bill sounds like an amazing man. You are very blessed. My uncle also has CP and growing up with him around was a great learning experience for me. He has always walked on crutches and he taught me a lot about perseverance, patience, strength, and laughter!

The children are absolutely beautiful and the PERFECT leverage...as Captain Jack would say!

Now...on to this....

Amazing. My mother divorced my bio father when I was very young. He was an abusive alcoholic and she got her kids out of that situation. She met a wonderful man when I was 7 and they married when I was 8. He also adopted my brother and I and he is the only DAD we've ever known. He has been such a blessing in my life...and it's scary to think where I would be if God had not brought him around!

I am so excited to finally come over and "meet" you (both) and I can't wait to hear more about your plans! I'm SO in! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for all the replies, I will ask Bill to get back on here tonight to reply to everyone. It is amazing how when we have a positive influence in our childhood it makes a person blossom.

Bill is my hero, my best friend, my life. He turned 39 years old today.

  Happy Birthday sweetie!

Happy birthday, Bill! That was beautiful (sniff, sniff)
