LOL! Nope! They were hamming it up! It's called... acting? Hehehehee...
The surface is that sand paint- quite grippy. And frankly there is little water or movement on the PT boat.
BTW, your boys would love even more being part of it! They can be swabbies and still see Daddy get dunked! A family group would be even more appealing to the CM's! Mom can drive the PT boat...

:)

Jud,

Good idea about doing it as a family. We will be there with my inlaws. Maybe my DFIL would be up for doing this. Not sure about my youngest, since he is 3 now (4 by next April), but my DS7 may have fun with it. It would take quite a bit of work to convince my DW and DMIL, however . . . :)

I've only seen these guys out once!

I had to go back and check but I think these are the same guys from September 2007. They were great! The lead (with banjo) read the name on my daughters mickey ears and had her convinced hook, line and sinker that he knew her because they were cousins from the side of the family noone talks about. We were waiting for the parade to start and after their set the lead came back out and sat with us to chat with the girls for awhile and gave them some of the One To Keep and One to Give Tinkerbell pins they were handing out that year (Year of a Million Dreams). They made our day and my youngest still mentions her cousin! :)
