I think that part is a walking path - there are little people on it. The cars look like they go into the rock formation before that pathway.

Likely the main pathway to the Villains area. Filling in Rivers of America also gives them more space to make the pathway.

This is going to look really awkward next to a gothic haunted mansion. I'm not sure how you transition between the two lands without it looking really odd.

I know they can do a great job at masking the transition. Will they bother to is the real question.

My first thought with the Villains art posted Saturday was “well this seems very generic, they’re not showing us much detail, might as well wait for more info” and now they’ve posted more concept art that doesn’t show much of anything . At least you can see where Cars fits in and some more detail on how it’ll look.

Super pumped for everything they announced. Only thing that would have made it better would have been adding in a Rapunzel (seriously only a bathroom, albeit the best bathrooms) attraction and a Coco one. Now like most waiting to see what gets removed.

Disney did say they would start the construction in Fall 2024 but they were extremely unclear as to whether that would include Dinosaur's closure. If I were to guess, MAYBE that means the Boneyard or the carnival games close first?

Yes they could and Disney already began work on moving work trailers over to Dinoland for the construction. Again, 0 specific details on when this is going to happen.

I'm guessing it's up to the North where the second half of Tom Sawyer Island is. They could connect that over to Big Thunder. That is based on 0 actual information though.

Well damn MK is going to be a pretty big construction zone on that side for a long time

Fortunately almost all of the construction will be in what is currently a back stage area and have minimal impact on the park. Unlike the work that was done in Epcot.

You’re disagreeing with concept art directly from Disney themselves. Disney is the one saying Cars land will replace Rivers of America and TSI

I'm reading that post differently. It said those areas will be transformed. It didn't say replaced. So, some of the theming can be different without actually removing TSI or the boat.

REALLY rough, but I think it's about like this. Red is Cars and Purple is Villains.

I read "transformed" as Disney-speak for demolished and replaced with something new. But that is just my interpretation.

Very confused as to how it would be possible for both Cars and Tom Sawyer Island to coexist in the same area when Disney stated in today's blog that it would be replaced by Cars. Unless Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn themselves will be IN the cars? Will the cars have to paint the fence?

I caught a livestream of the announcements but was too busy all weekend to hop on here for discussion but I'm excited about everything. Funny enough though the nighttime parade has me most excited. But I'm even looking forward to the Cars stuff after seeing the concept art.
