Thanks for this,. I had no idea!
If you're willing to get there early in the day when they open, you can pretty much always get a walk up right away.

Am I reading the restaurant list for dining plan wrong or is it possible that all of the food spots in France at Epcot are no longer taking part? Hoping it’s just a case of them being added in soon as Les Halles and Chefs de France are two of my favourite places![]()

Brocktoon is correct. Disney and the non-disney operated restaurants need to negotiate an agreement each year as to what guest benefits are applicable. They will likely be added by the time the new year comes around.I think it was similar in previous years where a portion of the restaurants were added at a later date. It may be that they are negotiating how they are reimbursed on the DDP, but eventually most of the non-signature places should be listed
Oof. I'm quite sure people will buy it for the convenience factor but there isn't any value in those adult prices.Disney Dining Plan pricing unveiled as bookings open for 2024 vacations at Walt Disney World

Part paying more for less, general cost increases on food, and making Adult prices so high maybe not have as high of an amount of people who get it to possibly help maintain ADR availability.Oof. Off the top of my head, I think I recall hearing food inflation was approaching 20% since pre-covid times. Looks like that covers the entire increase.Part paying more for less, general cost increases on food, and making Adult prices so high maybe not have as high of an amount of people who get it to possibly help maintain ADR availability.
Does anyone recall if these prices include tax? I know we still have to pay tip out of pocket but can’t recall if we had to pay tax as well.Disney Dining Plan pricing unveiled as bookings open for 2024 vacations at Walt Disney World

The QS isn't awful. With an alcoholic drink included you can easily get up to $57 on two meals plus drink. I still wouldn't buy it because I want more flexibility in how I eat.Oof. I'm quite sure people will buy it for the convenience factor but there isn't any value in those adult prices.
The prices listed in my post include tax.Does anyone recall if these prices include tax? I know we still have to pay too out of pocket but can’t recall if we had to pay tax as well.
I think that would make sense if they didn’t drop a snack credit. I’d say you easily can find snack today for $8 so true cost of meal plan we used to have would be $102 here. That makes it about a 31% increase.Off the top of my head, I think I recall hearing food inflation was approaching 20% since pre-covid times. Looks like that covers the entire increase.
Before they added alcohol I felt like I could get good value on meals over short time but found it hard to do it every day of long trip. We would do it if we had split stay but most time I agree it didn’t work out beyond that unless it was free. Was teh dining plan ever a good value for the price though? The value was when you could get the "free dining" packages and such, right?
not imo. over 40 yrs ago we got a plan that on paper was a good value. the next year we got a 3 meal/day plan and we spent all our time eating instead of riding attractions. Was teh dining plan ever a good value for the price though? The value was when you could get the "free dining" packages and such, right?
