Three words: record profit. Pay them Disney, come on. It isn't even an argument about the total raise, just the timeframe. Lame.

When Covid hit the corp I was working for introduced pay cuts including the essential workers still on site full week ... blaming the pandemic. Then they announced record profits a few weeks later. Not surprisingly they were pretty much guilted into retroactively rescinding the pay cuts

Mysterious Signs Installed at EPCOT Main Entrance

A set of new signs has been installed at the main entrance to EPCOT, and outside of containing the logo for the park, we’re not really sure what these signs are for. There have been updates to existing signage to utilize the new EPCOT font and color scheme, but these signs didn’t exist until recently. The signs contain the EPCOT logo, but nothing else at the moment. It’s possible that they could be used in the future as informational signs, perhaps for park hours, but at the moment the only purpose they serve is to befuddle. Here’s a look at the signs, let us know what you think they could be in the comments below or on social media!

It looks like a future wifi spot? Maybe as Disney continues to move stuff to their app, the need for better connectivity?

Actually, they look like they are just used to designate the Passholder line.

I'm glad some of these are coming back. I have a "foodie" friend who really wants to do some of the most upscale dining, and I'm game. We alsway say that one day we'll do V&A's but he was also really really interested in Takumi Tei - when is that reopening?

Now that Japan is opening up more, maybe they will be able to staff. Residents and citizens have been able to come into Japan fairly easy for a while, but I think people were afraid they would go backwards, like they had at one point, requiring stricter entrance requirements. People may feel more comfortable now that they can return easily to visit family. I didn't get to try it before it shut down, and I am very stoked to do it.

Minnie Ear Headband Price Increased by $5 at Walt Disney World

Every little increase just adds up doesn't it? $5 really won't break most people. But when every little thing is 10% higher that's easily $100 or more a day that you are paying extra now for a family. :(

It may be my imagination, but it seemed like last week I saw fewer people than usual wearing ears, Disney shirts, etc. For my own part, I was there six nights and seven days, and bought zero merch. After shelling out for Genie+, ILLs, and food, I just didn’t feel like it. Would not be surprised if many people feel the same.

I don't really buy a lot of merch either mainly due to the insane prices and how low quality + uncreative a lot of it has become. The t shirts don't last after a few washes and sizing is so inconsistent. Every store has the same 20 or so items. I miss when each store had unique items. I'll maybe buy a mug and that's about it. Nowadays I import merch from the non US Disney parks or use Etsy for ears.

Yup. We buy everything before we arrive. 99% of it from Etsy. We MAY buy one pair of ears but that's about it for clothes/ears. I find the stuff much cuter and better quality on Etsy.

I will buy a Christmas ornament, a magnet or two, some trinket for my desk and some treats to take home but no clothing.

Same here. I already have shirts purchased for my December trip. I also bought many ears that are from TDL that I get asked all the time in the parks where I bought them. I understand the supply issues in terms of stocking merchandise but that doesn't excuse how uninspired some of the designs are.

I bought a number of 50th anniversary shirts online last year, and they were all returned due to quality issues. 😣
