Dreamers Academy Will Be Back at Disney World for Its 15th Year March 3-6

Disney Dreamers Academy, a mentorship program held at Walt Disney World Resort will be making a return to the “Most Magical Place on Earth” March 3rd- 6th. This is a momentous occassion as it marks the 15th year of broadening career awareness and creating exclusive opportunities for Black students and teens from underrepresented communities across America.

This is one of the most depressing things I’ve ever seen at Disney. It feels very Six Flags to me. I hope they have big plans for this area. Maybe we’ll get an announcement at D23?

I never realized this was a Meet and Greet? If it is, that would be awesome, I've only ever seen her by accident at AK.

It wasn’t a traditional meet and greet she would roam around the discovery island area with her handler and pose for selfies/interact with guests similar to the winter animals they have out around the holidays

Yes!! …but I agree it would be nice for a central location. That’s why we started adding them to page one as an all-in-one resource.

If I'm looking for info on pop or gf or whatever resort, im going to thr resorts board not news. That's what each individual resort thread on that board is for. And they do get posted on the threads.

Plus people very rarely read the 1st posts before asking questions. It's just more work for someone and duplicating what's already being done on a better spot.

Exactly… and that’s where I’d post them, on the Resorts Board! It would be nice to have them all in one central location. It’s not something that Has to be done… But I know it’s a question a lot of people ask throughout the threads. That’s why we started adding them here. Trying to help out as many people as we can.

why reinvent the wheel when there are in-depth threads on each of the resorts already... seems like busy work

I love having the activity schedules all in one place! They are either non-existent on other threads or hard to find when digging through other posts about random resort topics. For one resort in particular, I always end up emailing them to get a copy before our arrival.

Even if they don't get posted here (although I consider it helpful news), it would be so nice to have the schedules consolidated somewhere and not left up to each individual resort thread.

Yeah, that was kind of the point of my post that’s HERE to just be a collection of things like the activities calendar, collection of main festival news, and any more major announcements by Disney.

Just a spot for there to be a standardized collection of some things from the year rather than having to comb through page after page for the info.
