Disney has announced that DuckTales World Showcase Adventure will be debuting in EPCOT later this year. It replaces the Agent P World Showcase game. An exact opening date was not given.

I can't believe this is still coming considering the show it is based on has already come and gone. I wish it were based on classic DuckTales.

Not keeping my hopes up until I see parks blog officially say something (low key assumed this would be dead in the water and if world showcase adventure returned it would be Hamster & Gretel or be the reintroduction of Duffy into domestic parks & be centered on Lena Belle)

The 2022 lineup of celebrity narrators features new and returning favorites, including actors from some of your favorite films, world-renowned singers, and other talented artists. Candlelight Processional is performed three times nightly at the America Gardens Theater, and is included with theme park admission.

Hurricane Ian: Disney World Waives Change & Cancelation Fees for Hotel Reservations on Select Dates​

Disney World has made its first announcement on modifications to operations due to Hurricane Ian. Here’s the announcement:

Disney Resort and Room-Only Cancellation Policy for Reservations Booked Directly with Disney Destinations, LLC or The Walt Disney Travel Company.

• Due to potential weather impacts to guest travel plans, change and cancellation fees imposed by Disney will be waived for check-in dates of Monday, 9/26 – Monday, 10/3.
• Most room-only and vacation packages can be modified, or cancelled online, including changes to travel dates, without fees. Packages including air transportation or other services provided by third parties, or those with travel protection, cannot be modified or cancelled online. For Guests with these reservations, please call us for assistance.

BREAKING: Walt Disney World Announces Closure of Select Hotels, Water Parks, and Miniature Golf Courses Due to Hurricane Ian​

Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions as they prepare to make necessary adjustments based on the latest information from the National Weather Service. Currently, they following closures and policy changes have been announced:

• Disney Resort Hotels: Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort since these locations will temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30 due to the weather. Disney is contacting Guests with current and upcoming reservations.
• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will close temporarily Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29. (Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently closed).
• Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will also temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29.
• Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences: Effective immediately, Disney will not enforce cancelation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences like Savi’s Workshop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
• Disney is currently monitoring weather conditions and will communicate any changes to park operating hours or special events at a later time.

Walt Disney World begins shutting down some attractions and transportation ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Ian​

With the effects of Hurricane Ian expected to be felt late Tuesday, Walt Disney World is already moving to secure some of the more vulnerable locations.

Test Track at EPCOT is now closed, with guests holding Lighting Lane reservations being offered alternative experiences.

Outside of the parks, Disney Skyliner is now closed. The gondola system is obviously very sensitive to severe weather, and the gondolas need to be secured to ride out the storm. Guests are being offered alternative transportation via bus.

Disney announced earlier the closure of select Walt Disney World hotels and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park.

We expect more operational impacts over the coming days as the storm's severity becomes clearer.

New Declaration Adds 19 Vacation Homes To Riviera’s DVC Inventory​

Effective September 23, 2022, Disney increased the number of vacation homes at Disney’s Riviera Resort that Disney Vacation Club members can book using points.
Nineteen vacation homes, all located on the first floor nearest Disney's Skyliner, were added to Riviera’s DVC inventory, The additional inventory includes five Residential Units containing three tower studios, two dedicated studios, two dedicated one-bedroom villas, five lockoff two-bedroom villas, and seven dedicated two-bedroom villas. No grand villas were included in this latest declaration.

Disney has now declared 199 of Riviera’s 341 vacation homes for the DVC inventory.

Hurricane Ian: Disney Cancels Hoop-Dee-Doo Performances Through September 30th​

Disney World has announced that they will cancel performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue through Friday, September 30th.

Performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue have been canceled Sept. 28-30 in light of the temporary closure of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests with pre-paid reservations will be automatically canceled and refunded.

Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will reopen November 1st from major refurbishment​

According to the latest calendar update, Kona Cafe will reopen on November 1 2022. Reservations are not yet available however.

During the closure of Kona, Kona Island is offering breakfast, lunch and dinner via Mobile Order in My Disney Experience.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to Be Closed Through September 30 at Walt Disney World​

Due to severe inclement weather conditions expected to impact the Central Florida area over the next few days, the Walt Disney World Resort officially confirmed that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be cancelling their next two voyages with dates starting on September 27 and September 29. As of now, normal operations are expected to be resumed on October 1, but that could change depending on the intensity of the storm and how the resort is affected by it.

Yeah, I suspect a 'voyage to tranquil outer space' won't be the same if 24/7 you constantly hear high winds and a deluge of rain outside, with possible flooding in your space ship.
