Someone is reporting a death of a baby zebra at what seems to be AKL. Hope it’s not true.

Disney has since sadly confirmed this to be true:

Baby Zebra tragically dies at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Guests staying at Animal Kingdom lodge watched as Disney Cast Members tried to save the life of the baby zebra who ran head-first into a gate after being spooked by two ostriches that had just been released into the safari enclosure.

In an email to WESH a Disney spokesperson said: “We are heartbroken over the loss of our Hartmann’s mountain zebra that passed away yesterday, and we ask that you keep our dedicated animal care Cast Members in your thoughts.”

I had read about ostriches and zebras and apparently, they are found together in the wild quite a bit and have a sort of symbiotic relationship. This sounds like a sad, freak accident.

Is it just me or does every holiday get a lot of lead time on snacks/treats but Easter is kind of just a blip in time? It feels like it should be bigger than it is, Halloween and Christmas get at least a month, St. Patrick's day seemed like an entire week. But having just been there a week ago we didn't really see anything outside of Grand Floridian.

We were just there last week as well and saw Easter cupcakes/treats at the Contempo cafe at CR and at Gasparillas. There was a post that said Easter items would be available at other locations on 4/10 but we didn’t see anything on 4/10 and left the next day...

New Treats Available at Main Street Confectionery


First up is the Snickers Pound Cake. It’s a vanilla pound cake topped with caramel syrup, chocolate drizzle, crumbled nougat, and peanut pieces. If you love Snickers, GET this for $5.29.



Then we got to try a Dove Chocolate Rugelach for $4.99, This is made with buttery dough that is rolled with chocolate and baked.



Finishing out our trio of sweet treats is the Three Musketeers Quesito for $4.99. A quesito is actually a Puerto Rican pastry twist filled with cream cheese. This pastry twist is filled with Cream Cheeseand drizzled with Chocolate.

Disney Postpones Recruitment of Green Army Patrol

According to Disney, they have postponed the casting call for the Green Army Patrol Drum Corps. We originally wrote about the casting call earlier this week, but Disney has listed the casting call as “postponed” – a move that we’re not sure we’ve seen before.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the casting call was to bring back the Green Army Patrol entertainment offering to Toy Story Land, or if it was simply for the Pixar Pals Motorcade.

They must have gotten a lot of complaints about Genie+ to create the pop up.
First the addition that on average guests can ride 2 to 3 rides with Genie+ and now this.
