Seems weird not have Easter Egg prizes.. editing to say - it's weird not have prizes that are Easter eggs- like what they have had in the past that also contained fun items inside and were like what Disneyland has this year.

It’s been so great to see live entertainment returning to our theme parks, resorts, and cruise ships, and today, I’m thrilled to tell you about another quintessential Disney entertainment experience that’s on the way back.

As early as April 18, we will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. That’s right! Very soon, you will once again be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autograph from Mulan, and share a laugh with Goofy. We know many of you have missed these special moments, and your Disney character friends have missed you, too!

During the past two years, we’ve taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.

While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.

Really surprised they include Mulan in their message. This means face characters. I had expected that it would take longer for them to return.

It's always weird to me to see Muppets like that, but at the same time that's going to be super-interesting. I have always heard that Jim and those other Muppeteers would always be in character but also themselves, and that you could be talking to Jim about anything, like what to have for lunch, and he would respond, and Kermit would respond, and you'd find yourself talking to Kermit directly as if he were a third person. The level of genius that it takes to do something like that is just extraordinary!

If you want to see something like this sooner, there is a wonderful documentary currently out called "Street Gang: How We Got To Sesame Street". Obviously it's more about Sesame Street than the Muppets specifically, but Jim Henson and the Muppets had a huge influence on Sesame Street and Henson and the Muppets appeared in early episodes. There is a lot of behind the scenes videos and even bloopers from the set where you see the puppeteers messing around in character. The whole story of Sesame Street was a lot more fascinating than I realized and it really is a great documentary.

Disney World Seemingly Removes Weeks of Park Pass Reservation Availability Overnight for Annual Passholders

An update to the Disney Park Pass system appears to show that Disney World has removed A LOT of availability in the month of April for Annual Passholders. Yesterday, there was limited availability for April 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but this morning, there is extremely limited availability for not only the first three days in April…but the first three weeks! Here’s a look at the Disney Park Pass availability for all four Walt Disney World theme parks in the coming weeks. Hopefully you like EPCOT.





If this is not a glitch, it’s possible that Disney has taken a considerable amount of theme park capacity away from Annual Passholders and either plans on reallocating it to other ticket types, or simply keeping capacity lower than planned. As of publish time, there has not been a noticeable bump in reservation availability for other ticket types, so it’s possible that Disney is simply attempting to manage capacity. What doesn’t seem likely is that weeks of reservations were simply made by thousands of Annual Passholders overnight.

This video is cute and all, but I think Disney has totally dropped the ball on not having footage of my DW with her arms wrapped around Captain Jack Sparrow like an octopus on another octopus. He was in tears laughing and I was in tears...for other reasons. Oh well.

In all seriousness, the are very few things in life that are better than seeing a kid hug Mickey Mouse or Cinderella for the first time.

I'm there the last week of April into the first couple of days of May. Looks like I'm most likely going to miss any soft opening of Guardians, so I think I deserve to be able to see Fantasmic again!
