Yes it is. That's why, for the first time in over 20 years, I don't have any Disney trips planned. I used to be jonesing for the next one before I even got home. Now? Eh. Lots of other places I want to see.

Honestly, we are kinda in the same place. Well I am, my husband isn't ready to admit it yet haha! First time in 20 years we don't have a trip on the horizon. We were last there in early Feb. of this year, and late Jan/early Feb is our favorite time to visit and get a bit of sun & warmth, and I've usually booked a hotel by now. I'm not sure we are going next year, I'll go somewhere else and soak up some sun & warmth.

Gideon’s Bakehouse April Offerings

The limited edition cookie flavor for this month is the Toasted Coconut Caramel cookie! This cookie is Gideon’s classic chocolate chip cookie dough mixed with their homemade salted caramel and coconut cream. Then, the cookie is topped with shaved toasted coconut flakes.

This month, only on the weekends, you can get a slice of Gideon’s Coconut Cream Cake. This cake is three layers of vanilla cake with coconut cream buttercream and salted caramel, all covered with coconut shavings.

I haven't been since May 2021. They have to AT LEAST get Guardians and Tron open before I might feel like it's worth going back just to experience the new stuff.

Guardians does look fun....
I'd be more excited if I didn't have to make park reservations, however I do recognize that is not in the cards!

We stopped in there on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail on whim driving home from West Virginia. I bought a bourbon scented candle for DH and he still talks about how much he loved it.

Disney Cruise Line Removing Physical Distancing, Changing Safety Protocols Effective Immediately

Disney Cruise Line has announced changes to its safety protocols. Here’s the announcement:

Disney Cruise Line is taking a phased approach to updating health and safety protocols on board. Considering recently updated guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), DCL will update several health and safety measures for sailings beginning on or after April 1, 2022, originating from a U.S. port of departure.

Some onboard products and experiences that were paused due to physical distancing protocols will resume in a phased approach. Protocol updates, among other, include lifting physical distancing across DCL ships and resuming self-service buffets. Face coverings are optional in most places on the ship including Walt Disney Theater. Port Adventures will return to their traditional format where possible. At this time, the Sail Away Celebration, the Pirate’s Night deck party, and up-close character interactions continue to be paused.

Protocols for sailings from Canadian and European ports may vary and will be communicated at a later time. Health and safety measures, on each ship or fleetwide, may change at any time without notice.

Two New Food Offerings at Pinocchio Village Haus

There’s a Roasted Corn Flatbread and a Tres Leches Cake.

The flatbread has Roasted Corn and Peppers, drizzled with Cilantro Mayonnaise. It also has some Queso Fresco on it, as well as melted Mozzarella Cheese.

For dessert, we tried out the new Tres Leches cake, which features Toasted Coconut and Coconut Cake. It’s basically a yellow cake with lots of tres leches sauce on the bottom, topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut, and a white chocolate “it’s a small world” decal that says “Adios.”
