Disney Mobile Program..

Ok...just compared wait times with "Undercover Tourist" for my iPod Touch and "touring plans" for my AT&T Blackberry.
They are pretty close, but there's a few rides at MK that the apple app puts longer than touring plans does by like 10-12 min (Jungle Cruise and the Stitch Escape come to mind).
So then I check Epcot. And again, the apple app puts waits on *some* attractions at least 10-15 min longer. (Test Track and Soarin' in particular).

Wonder which is more accurate ? ha ha

Don't feel bad, you aren't the only one excluded. I have Verizon, but the app is not available for the Blackberry.

Very frustrating!!!

I thought some people might not know that the "Disney Mobile Magic" app is available for blackberry on Verizon.

The website still does not list the app as available for blackberry but it is.

To get the app on your Verizon Blackberry:

Go to the Verizon V Cast App program
Select Verizon Apps
Select Disney Mobile Magic

The app is now only a one time charge of $1.99

I hope you all enjoy.

iPhone is now the only Smartphone without this app.

P.S. Disney and Verizon inked a deal to work together. This is why the app is only for Verizon. Disney has always worked with exclusive partners. I think it’s funny when AT&T iPhone customers complain about Disney's exclusive deal with Verizon. iPhone customers know all about how this exclusive stuff works.

Really ? You think it's funny that AT&T customers "complain" ? And iPhone customers "know all about this how this exclusive stuff works" ?
Is it just me, because I don't get your comment at all. I'm an AT&T customer with a blackberry and seriously looking at getting the iPhone with my next upgrade and I have NO IDEA why there is no disney app available to me ????

I was merely referring to the “Current” AT&T iPhone customers that “Do” complain. I’m not saying they all do or that AT&T customers do.

I think its funny “if” and when an AT&T iPhone customer complains because a product is an exclusive to another company. The iPhone (the phone they wish the app was made for) has been exclusive on AT&T for almost 4 years. Thankfully that ended.

Now if Disney makes the app for the iPhone my guess is they would have carrier authentication to make sure the app is only running on the Verizon iPhone. This app is in fact a Verizon / Disney partnership.

When Disney has a partnership with another company, I have no problem. It's the exclusion of loyal guests based upon some arbitrary factor that I have a problem with.

If Disney partners with Alamo, I have a decision on participating in that partnership on a case by case basis. When Disney partners with Verizon (which requires a two year commitment to use their service in most cases), Disney is excluding a significant portion of it's loyal guests based on a decision of mobile carrier that was made possibly years prior and isolated from my decision to go on vacation at a Disney park. I can't just change mobile providers based on my decision to go to a Disney park.

I just don't understand Disney's decision to spend their goodwill for such a partnership with Verizon. I don't see what it gets them except disappointment from loyal guests who chose a different mobile provider.

No, it is for any device that is compatible. I think they even have a browser app for computers.

I can't say enough good things about the app. The updates come from historic and forecast data from company they use, as well as, from users that post times from what they see or experience in the park.

I totally agree! :-)

Love the website too - lots of info and the blog rocks!

Doug...my sentiments exactly......
