Hello you guys and welcome to my trip report!!!

Im a newbie at this ! In fact I was'nt planning on writing a trip report at all but this trip was full of wonderful surprises so I HAVE to write a trip report! So it's a trip report that was'nt supposed to be . This is our third trip to the World in a year .

Welcome!! Welcome!! Im back . I had hundreds of pictures to sort through and download . Before I begin let me tell you that all of the pics you will see was taken with my crappy cellphone camera so no flash but the pics are still decent . I have lots of food porn too ! This will be a trip/ dining report . Be prepared for LOTS of details and ramblings lol

Thank you ! Yes Aniya loved the BBB makeover .She still talks about the day she became a princess . After the photopass photoshoot we immediately ran into the fairy godmother and later we met the three step sisters and they stayed in character. They scowled at her for being Cinderella lol .I have awesome pictures of that interaction ill try to post it later.

April 29th

I was so excited for this day to come!! That last week just drags by so slowly . I was obsessively checking my calendar everyday . Yeah i knew the date but i like to SEE the date actually moving closer on my cellphone . Im wierd i know

Ok now let me explain ...in my mind the vacation officially started on the 29th and not the 30th because we had such an early flight .

I spent the early part of the day not doing much. I was just excited so I would read the disboards and watch tv . The original plans were to be completly packed and ready by early afternoon , cook dinner and have the kids in bed by 7:00 pm . They usually don't go to bed until 9:00 pm or so. Unfortunately it did not work out that way it was still light out at 7:00 pm and they werent tired so I took them to the park to burn off energy . By the time we were in the house ,ate dinner , gave them baths etc. it was more like 9:30 pm . They fell asleep immediately and thats when I realized I had a TON of things left to do and pack . I completly forgot to get my eyebrows waxed

I finished up packing around 11:00 pm and thats when I decided to relax my hair . Nothing was going as planned ...I wanted to be sleeping by 9:00 pm so i'd be somewhat rested for the 6:30 a.m flight. As I relaxed my hair I read the disboards...than i got really disinteresed in the disboards suddenly. I think it's a little more fun to plan the vacation but when it's time to actually go the excitement dies a little.

I still had not heard from my mom so I was ticked off . This is our departure day ! She did'nt answer my calls all day . I was worried about her not being here in time and missing her flight. As I was rinsing out my relaxer my mom shows up and I forgive all and just get excited .


It's now 1:30 a.m .We have to wake up at 4:00 for the flight so NO sleep I put on our ME tags and we just sat around watching Martin. It was really funny but at 2:00 am it went off . There was nothing else to watch that was interesting. I think we watched some special about the Royal Wedding. My mom fell asleep at around 2:15 and I tried to sleep but couldnt . I set my alarm clock 3 times and tried to get some rest and it was impossible .

I hopped on the computer and browsed facebook until around 3:45 a.m . At 3:45 am I woke up the kids they were so excited They saw my mom and really got amped up . I turned on the stereo and played Disney songs while we scrambled for last minute items.



I called a taxi to pick us up and no answer I called a second taxi company and no answer I went on google and frantically searched for some other cab companies in our area . I called the third one and they answered! I told them we were going to the airport and the cab was there less than 10 minutes later

We arrive at Jet Blue terminal and check in . Everything went smoothly . I really dislike Jet Blue's food options /snack options and it's expensive to boot for what you get.

We ended up going to Jambo Juice I bought my mom peanut butter crackers and a snapple. I bought the kids a banana and snapple.

Louis is a picky eater and he just does'nt like to eat unless he absolutely have to . He'll take two bites and be done . I spent 30 minutes taking him around the airport trying to find something for him to nibble on and he declined everything . He just does'nt like to eat :

At around 6:00 am ben and jerry's opened up and i got a blueberry muffin for the kids to share. Louis refused to eat it so i ended up sharing it with Aniya. That muffin was soooooooo good. Seriously one of the best muffins I ever ate. I got up and bought another muffin for the plane ride hoping Louis would cave in and eat it. The flight was delayed The captain was missing .......for an hour!! We were in the air by 7:40 am . Takeoff always terrifies me I really cannot stand flying but the thought of a 24 hour drive or train ride scares me even more

We arrived at MCO at around 10:00 am or so . I was SO excited when I saw those palm trees! To leave cold dreary weather and be in a warm tropical place within two hours is just bliss . I was so excited I cannot stress that enough . Aniya stayed awake for the whole flight. She loves flying especially on Jet Blue . She always gets the chocolate chip cookies and a sprite. Louis never eats his snack because he falls asleep shortly after takeoff. I saved his snack and his soda in my purse. I love the blue potato chips they are always yummy .

I love my mother but she is not a disney lover. She's actually quite negetive about everything. That's just her personality . So while me and the kids were excited she was herself . I invited her on this trip because she has to undergo a stemcell transplant soon and it's going to wipe her out . I wanted her to have fun with her grandkids while she was still healthy . I wont go into too many details on the negetives but I will say in the end I wish I had just left her at home

We disembarked the plane and I immediately felt the heat. We took a bathroom break and I was really looking forward to Sbarro . We wanted to get something to eat at the airport but nothing appealed to us. Burger King was serving lunch and there was no Sbarro in sight . There was a Famaglia Pizza (sp?) or something like that . I did not want to try that pizza so we decided to wait until we were at Disney to eat since we had the DDP.

Sorry for the lack of pics but I did not decide to do a trip report until the second day into the trip

Fun! And aren't kids funny about food? My daughter will eat just about anything, but it has to be her idea. We have to "trick" her into eating sometimes! She will pick a salad as her side dish as some places, but if I ask her to take a bite of brocolli, she might fall out!

Oh, and I understand about negative mothers... Sigh... I hope your trip turns out good anyway!

Both of my kids are funny with eating I have to trick them alot too lol . I think the trip turned out....as good as can be expected when traveling with my mom lol . Me and the kids still had a great time we seperated from her alot.

That is QUITE an upgrade! I'm soooo jealous!!! My husband wants to stay at AKL! That's his "dream" resort, for when we win the lotto! Why did they upgrade you like that? Just because or were they really that full?

Yes it was a fantastic upgrade! I dont believe we were upgraded because the resort was full. There were still plenty of people on line next to and behind me all checking into thier rooms at ASMO. If you are asked to change resorts because it's full I believe they will put you in another value resort /same accomodations. If you are really troubled by it i've heard of them putting you in a mod but because my upgrade was so amazing I believe it was just because. Just a random magical moment . I hope some more people get an upgrade like that!

Im back with another installment....


I went around the room oohing and aahing over everything ...even the toilet paper is better at the deluxe resorts Honestly it really is !LOL

I went back out on the balcony with my mother and the kids and a giraffe was was feet away . I just wanted it to come closer so i could nuzzle it Doesnt it seem like giraffes are really sweet and gentle and would let you hug them ? LOL

We still had not had anything to eat since the flight snacks and I was starving. We had a 6:45 pm adr at 50's prime time but it was not even 1:00 pm at this point. I thought about eating at Hollywood Studios but I've heard nothing but bad things about the QS options there so we decided to go down to the Mara.

I was worried about the food options there . Pop has one of the best food courts in the resorts and I was worried everything would have an african twist with the food as well. We passed the arcade on our way to the Mara and I took a quick look inside. It was really small compared to Pop's arcade and you could'nt win tickets for prizes. I love games where you can win tickets for prizes . Last year at POP I won a ton of tickets and chose prizes right before we were due to leave .I gave the prizes out to the kids on the plane to keep them occupied during our flight. I did not spend any money at the arcade in AKL .

We got to the Mara and there were some american food options but not many . They have someone in front take your order and than they hand you back a buzzer which will go off when your order is ready . I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I got the kids the adult chicken breast nuggets. I grabbed two soft drinks for the parks and the famous zebra domes! I got the kids a fruit salad to split. I also purchased a mug seperately since we were on the dining plan.

I have never ordered a burger at POP. It's already made and plated with the french fries. It's been sitting out for God knows how long and it looked downright gross...cold and gross .

I went back to the table to wait for the food while my mom made her order. She got a chicken caesar salad.

The food arrived and I split the kids chicken breast nuggets/fries equally between them . They loved them.

Now about this burger.....I am not kidding or exaggerating when I tell you it was one of the best burgers i've ever had. It was hot ,fresh and delicious! I enjoyed every single bite. It was so good . The bacon was crisp and perfect and the burger itself was hot and juicy not dry at all. The fries were also very fresh and perfectly salted. On a scale of 1 -10 I would rate that burger a 9!

The zebra domes were delicious and unique tasting . I may be wrong about the flavor but I thought i detected alcohol in the zebra dome. The flavors went very well together . I shared the zebra domes with my mom. She got a fruit salad as her dessert . I asked her how was the chicken caesar salad and she said it's a chicken caesar salad lol...so im guessing it was an average chicken caesar salad nothing special
