Hi
We will be in WDW in April, thinking of taking the boat to WL on our resort day. Is it possible to get on the list for a group of 12? if so, should I expect to wait 1+ hour if we get there early? (5ish...)
Thanks!

Keep in mind that the Wilderness Lodge boat dock will be under construction from April 13th until May 1st. The boat will not be running during that time.

Oh Thank you for this - I wasn’t aware!
If you've never eaten there check out some photos, while I love it some people are turned off that it's an open air location, can be warm, can be windy and if it rains you'll be covered but still feel it. The seating is very much a lounge type setting. This photo shows a good view of the location, these two tables in the center are really the only area that could be combined for seating a group, but its going to be a challenge unless you split up.

12 will be tough all at once, most parties are not that large and since it is walk up, I don't think they will hold tables for you until they have enough of them to seat all 12. Especially not together. As another person suggested, ordering to go and eating along the water might be an option. If people want drinks, they can walk up to the bar.

I agree that mobile ordering could be your best bet. And you may have less of a wait at lunch rather than dinner, which we have always found to be the busiest time at GP.

We will be staying at the poly and would have taken the boat from there to MK and then to WL on a rest day… I think we’ll try wailulu instead!

I think Wailulu is gonna be even harder for a big party. They are definitely busier than Geyser Point. Not sure if they can pull tables together or at least seat you next to each other?

When it is said you can eat by the water, are there tables available outside of the restaurant to eat at once you mobile-order?

No. The tables by the water are part of the seating for Geyser Point

There are tables that anyone can sit at that are next to the building that was the former Trout Bar. And there are tables outside of Roaring Fork. Just walk toward the main pool and you will see the tables. :)

At Geyser Point, there is a small retaining wall on the backside of GP along the water/lake. There are tables and chairs there you can sit at!
