Disney Ideas.

I think an indoor water park themed after Nemo would be a lot of fun!! :goodvibes I like the idea about epcot being open later--even all night.
I think they should move alot of the stuff from Disney Quest into Epcot. Some of those buildings are closed or needing serious update--that ought to do it. The other idea that I really like is moving the arcade part of Dinoland to the Boardwalk--it really does fit in there. But, keep Dinoland, just add more dinosaur stuff to it! How about a dinosaur safari :wizard:

I so had this idea!!!!!! I never thought Disney would do it since it was villains. I even came up with ride ideas like Ursalas whirlpool where it would be an enclosed freefall that spins with a large water screan so you would feel like you are in a whirlpool, also Escape from the Underworld, based on Hercules as a 4-D ride such as Spiderman at Islands of Aventure... They could have a themed fairground area like the one in Pinochio ... where they were all turned into Donkeys, sorry I can not think of what is was called.

It would be so neat if they really did this.

I had been thinking about this for a while too. I was thinking a large log flume ride called Ursala's Revenge or an indoor roller coaster called The Beast or Maleficent. Or maybe a simulator type ride called The Return of Jafar. The ideas for this are endless. I have fun just thinking of things.

I like the other posters idea of an icon. Maybe the mountain that the witch from Snow White fell from. But I really like the idea of Maleficents' Castle.

I really like the indoor waterpark idea. Nemo is a really cool idea or another one would be to look like a rain forest or something.

1) Nostalgia Kingdom - where all the old rides/restaurants/shows, etc. go when they need to bring something new into to the main parks. You could spend a whole day in there reliving days gone by, and then go back to the other parks to enjoy the new stuff.

2) A Narnia-themed dark ride at AK. Not just a movie set like at the DS; I'm talking about an elaborate ride on the level of POTC with major scenes from the book/movie. If Stitch is worthy of his own ride, surely they can make room for a classic such as The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe!

3) New fairy and/or Tinkerbell themed skyway over MK, but not a cable car like the old one. These would be enclosed cars moving on an elevated track, but up higher than the TTA, and also covering more ground. There could be all kinds of cool lighting effects on the outside (think fiber optics; SpectroMagic-type stuff), so at night, you have these gleaming twinkling fairy vehicles flying above you.

I really like the idea of moving the entire Dinoland section (as it is now) from AK to somewhere where the carnival atmosphere would work better. It's bright and I can actually imagine liking it if it was in the right place. As it is now, it jars me from the magic and illusion.

I would, however, like to keep the Dinosaur theme. After all, dinosaurs were part of the original AK idea: animals, "Beastly Kingdome," and dinosaurs. There's so much that can be done with a dinosaur theme, that I would suggest replacing the entire "Rafiki's Planet Watch" with some sort of Dinosaur themed area.

How about basing it on Verne's Lost World? There could be enough material to entertain children, thrill teenagers, and inspire adults. I would retire "Dinosaur" from its current location and replace it with a thrill ride in the new Lost World. I like the Dinosaur Dig playground so I would keep a form of it in the new land as well. Maybe include a cutesy dark ride suitable for the small ones? How about a safari ride except filled with dinosaurs? One problem would be how to keep it from appearing that Disney wasn't ripping of the Jurassic Park movies.

Finally, maybe replace the current Dinoland with the Australia/Outback idea. I'm not sure how that would be done, because everything in AK is jungle-like. Seeing the giant Tree of Life in the background of what's supposed to be the Australian Outback may ruin the illusion.

By the way, I really love threads like this. I think an entire forum dedicated to these type of topics would be popular.

I think the reason that Dinoland U.S.A. is themed to look like a carnival is so it doens't seem like it was themed form Jurasic Park. But Dinoland does need something more to make it more "Disney".

The Great Movie ride-Since alot of people mistake the old Tarzan movie for the new one I think they should just make it the new one. With better speciel effects. And they could have the scene in it where the gorillas are messing up the camp site. They should also put a few old but good movies in and take some of the boring old ones out. They should add a scene themed around Peter Pan, with them flying round Big Ben. And at the begining they should add a Snow White and the seven Drawves scene (since it was Disney's first movie) and then maybe the last scene should be themed around the Jungle Book (since it was the last movie Disney worked on before he died) They should really do more with the Fantasia scene. With Mickey fighting the brooms, and have some water spraying at people.

Cinderella's Castle-Make it into a walk through tour like the Robinson family tree House like some one mentioned. They could have the kings bedroom with that huge light hanging from the ceiling and that huge, huge bed he had in the movie. They could really do good with that. And maybe Disney could do some work with Warner Bros. and make a Phantom of the Opera scene. Maybe the part where the shandilere (sorry I;m not a good speller) crashes down.

They Jungle Cruise-Jsut make it a little bit better and do more with speciel effects.

Transportation-Maybe something underground. Maybe based with Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the earth

Pooh Ride-TAKE IT OUT AND BRING BACK MR.TOAD!!

More Thrill Rides!!

The indoor water park is an awsome idea. It could be open year round insted of just spring ans summer. It could be like a rain forest. Kind of dark and misty, and of course some anamotronic animals.

And definatly better dies at the world showcase like some one said. The end of the Mexico ride doesnt make sense.

POTC- For those of you who dont already knwo it is being changed alot. Going along witht the movie. I personally don't think that is a good idea. It was Walts last ride taht he worked on before he died. So I think it should stay the same. Jsut clean it up a littel bit and maybe give the scenery adn the charecters a fresh coat of paint, jsut like how they fixed up IASW.

I have been thinking and I think that they should have a "futuristic" theme. Contemporary tries to be modern, but falls kinda flat. I'm thinking a giant pentagon lobby, and five towers where the rooms would be. I would stay there.

Just thought of something. In England at the World Showcase they sould build a mini replica of Big Ben that tolls on the hour.

If a completely new theme park is built, it should be an Ocean Kingdom.
The landmark can be the underwater golden Antlantica Castle from the Little Mermaid surrounded by dancing water fountains. The park can be divided by Ocean names.
There can be huge aquarium attractions, water rides, attractions to go along with Disney water movies (Finding Nemo, Little Mermaid, Pinnochio's underwater adventures... I am probably forgetting some....)
& they could add for each Ocean area different Islands similar to the Countries in the World Showcase at EPCOT. (South Pacific Islands, Caribbean Islands, Arctic locations etc....)

It would be sooooo cool to have a brand new Disney theme park!!!

Have a monorail connect all the parks, okay I know it would be expenseve but it would be cool.
Have value resorts with better themes rather than bigger than life icon have a theme like an Disney movie and make you feel like your in the movie. Or like a period or location theme like the other resorts. Some cool themes would be Australia, the old wild west, a ski lodge (maybe near Blizzard Beach), underwater, rainforest.

I wish they would have left the Millenium Village up at EPCOT, I really liked it :-).

I also wish they could create a Monster's Inc. Ride. I LOVE that movie and think a ride based on the door chase scene would be pretty cool :Pinkbounc

I would like to see them add something to the Sports Complex that has Disney On Ice shows. Also, in Downtown Disney they should add a Build-A-Bear and a Club Libby Lu like they have in California, only I would like to see them have Disney characters to stuff at the Build-A-Bear and maybe a Disney version of Club Libby Lu having to do with Princesses.

They've already done something like that in Tokyo, next to Tokyo Disneyland. It's called Disney Sea. It's based around the seven seas. The icon is a huge mountain. I wish they would bring it over to America.

Personally, I have always liked the 1930's Mickey Mouse. I wish they would do more with that era. I was thinking a restauraunt that would show the advance of mickey. It would be like a hourly show, that would start with the whole restaurant being black and white with pictures of old mickey everywhere. Then it would slowly advance through the different decades of Mickey and become colorful. I would eat there.

More original whole family dark rides ....... coasters are great but that is not what Disney is known for

I wish the Disney Sea concept would be brought to Orlando. Maybe the idea of an indoor water park could be fit into this somehow... it could be one of the "lands."

I love Phatom Blot's idea of a 1930's style restaurant. Maybe this would work at MGM? IMHO, I would replace the ABC restaurant with this. Phantom Blot, do you have a name in mind?

Not really, what about "It all started with a mouse diner"?

1) I know the idea has been kicked around before, but how about a sit-down restaurant themed on the House of Mouse? It would seem like a good thematic fit for MGM, but there maybe isn't the need for another restaurant there. MK might just work. Imagine how uber-cool it would be to be served and entertained by characters in a cartoonish nightclub setting. :cool1:

2) ITA agree with adding Australia to AK. A Disneyfied version of the Sydney Opera house would be a neat landmark. Even though Nemo and friends are at Living Seas, one attraction in new land could be an underwater adventure with Bruce and his friends (ala 20 LUTS). Another attraction could be "The dingo ate my baby!" in which... (just kidding ;) ). The lnad would feature a terrific restaurant in which you could always find a fantastic steak, and in which there was always a shrimp on the barbie

I would never get the kids out of a House of Mouse restaurant! Although I don't think there's enough room for it, I think its theme would fit in nicely in Mickey's Toontown Fair
