Disney Ideas.

MK

1.) A dark ride based off the beauty and the beast.
2.) Update the Haunted Mansion..not as in electronics or anything, but different scenery, after being there 4 times its now just the nostalgia.
3.a) Refurb the jungle cruise , some of the animals in the water are looking faded and could now be made more realistic, also making it possible for some animals in the water splash a little water on you.
3.b) Have a part where the boat rocks as if a croc hits it and then the croc comes to the top of the water so you see what it was.
4.) Turn the castle into an attraction, like Swiss Robinson Family Treehouse ..that is pushing it I know.
5.) and update tomorrow land..keeping it the same layout but just refurb the existing look to a more modern futuristic look.
6.) A new e-ticket attraction that will make up for Stich, no offense to Stich lovers.
7.) A themed dark thrill ride or a 3d thrill ride based from The Chronicles of Narnia..a revenge of the mummy type ride.

I agree with refurb. Jungle cruise. I was really disappointed with it when we went in Sept. I was looking forward to it (It had been 20 yrs since I was there last) because I hade enjoyed it before. We did it at night this time what could be part of the problem and our CM was really bad--maybe her first time. The rochking the boat idea would be great, and a little water splash would be good too.

Haunted House could be a little scarier.

Narnia would be great--I love mummies.

Lots of great ideas here. I have not read the whole thread, so excuse me if this has been mentioned. My 4yoDNiece liked taking the boat from WL to MK. She always wanted to ride in the back or in the front were the boat was open to the elements. When we road the monorail, she asked to ride "outside". I wondered if this would be as simple as it sounded. The last car on the monorail trains could be an open car to enjoy the sights and the breezes (when moving). I think this would work well on the Epcot monorail, not as many stops.

Sounds like fun but I could see a lot of legal issues having an open car-seat belts etc.

Along with the no restraints issue~ About the *breeze?* How fast does the monorail go? I thought way to fast to enjoy as an open air experience, although I could be dead wrong here. Anyone know how fast :listen: ?

A little help please, on the speed of the monorail? a driver once told me, I forgot, like the twinkie I am...

Move Dinoland out of AK to somewhere near the Boardwalk, where as a carnival type attraction it would be a better fit.. Where Dinoland currently sits build a major attraction..

Yeah, AK is a little blah, and I do think they need to bring mroe rides in. The Australia thing is a great idea. I'm sure alot of peopel would get a kick out of seeing kangaroos.

I think that they need to leave alot of the land alone, it makes the park seem so wide and open. I really like how they've made the places where the animals roam look like their natualr homes, and that you can't see any fences or nothing. Alot of people call it a zoo, but I tell them itsnatuzu (it's not a zoo)

I think EE is gonna be awsome. I can't wait to ride it.

I think that AK should have a firework show like the rest of the parks do. It should be right behind Mt. Everest, the new ride. The fireworks could be acompanied by songs from The Lion King. And for the grand finale, red, oragne, and yellow fireworks shoot out of the top of Mt. Everest. Mt Everest isn't really a volcano, but it would stil be cool.

I don't think the animals would appreciate a firework show somehow.

I would like a better water ride. I was spoiled by Grizzley in DCA. It's probably a 7 minutes ride with many drops and spills. The one in AK feels like a one minute ride with only one drop.

I am stealing this idea from someone dont remember where i read it but here goes
and the country themed hotels on to the country in epcot a french chalet in france oh thier was a thread a while back that had some neat things (ok it was ideas for new resorts)

as far as new rides i agree with the nightmare before xmas as my husband loves it but not so much making a thrill ride as he wouldnt ride it he doesnt do speed or hight go figure the thrill junckie meating a non thrill lover

I really like the idea of moving the entire Dinoland section (as it is now) from AK to somewhere where the carnival atmosphere would work better. It's bright and I can actually imagine liking it if it was in the right place. As it is now, it jars me from the magic and illusion.

I would, however, like to keep the Dinosaur theme. After all, dinosaurs were part of the original AK idea: animals, "Beastly Kingdome," and dinosaurs. There's so much that can be done with a dinosaur theme, that I would suggest replacing the entire "Rafiki's Planet Watch" with some sort of Dinosaur themed area.

How about basing it on Verne's Lost World? There could be enough material to entertain children, thrill teenagers, and inspire adults. I would retire "Dinosaur" from its current location and replace it with a thrill ride in the new Lost World. I like the Dinosaur Dig playground so I would keep a form of it in the new land as well. Maybe include a cutesy dark ride suitable for the small ones? How about a safari ride except filled with dinosaurs? One problem would be how to keep it from appearing that Disney wasn't ripping of the Jurassic Park movies.

Finally, maybe replace the current Dinoland with the Australia/Outback idea. I'm not sure how that would be done, because everything in AK is jungle-like. Seeing the giant Tree of Life in the background of what's supposed to be the Australian Outback may ruin the illusion.

By the way, I really love threads like this. I think an entire forum dedicated to these type of topics would be popular.

I love Epcot83's idea of theming something based on Egypt. I also love "Goofy's Friends" idea of adding it to World Showcase. How awesome would that be? There could be a pyramid with a thrill ride built into it. Roller coaster? Only indoor roller coasters seem to work at WDW anyway. There's so much that could be done with this. Cool, cool, cool.

While I'm thinking about it, I wish some of the World Showcase rides would get updated. I think one of the problems is Disney gave too much creative control to the nations represented in each pavilion. I think that was a mistake. The Mexico ride is just awful. The Maelstrom almost makes itself into a good dark ride. However, , it burns my back side when, at the end of the ride, you're held hostage to get enough people to watch a film about Norway.

Transporation between parks and resorts:Expand the Monorail system.
Maybe this might relieve some congestion in the parks (MK especially) because it would make it easier to park hop. Right now, it's too difficult to go from place to place without losing valuable time in the parks. I would like to see every park and every resort connected by Monorail. Don't get me wrong... I think WDW has done an amazing job with the operation of the parks' transportation system. I can't imagine how complicated it must be to keep that portion of the parks running smoothly.

Transportation within the parks: Tommorowland Transporation Authority (TTA).
OK, I can't tell if this is a good idea or not, but here it goes anyway. How about putting versions of TTA in some of the other parks? I think it is especially needed in Epcot; it's such a wide-open park. It could loop around Futureworld (or whatever it's called these days) and then all the way around World Showcase. There couldn't be a separate loop for World Showcase obviously, however. The TTA at MK is the "Blue Line." The one at Epcot could be the "Yellow Line." Add one to AK and call it the "Red Line." Yes, I know the theming may not look good "on paper," so let's theme it so that it serves as an example of how technology and our environment could peacefully coexist. OK, I nearly hurled on that one, so maybe not at AK, although I would really enjoy that type of transportation there.

It would be nice to hop on the TTA ("Yellow Line") after riding Soarin' and in a few minutes, I'm in line at Test Track. After that, I hop back on the Yellow Line and grab a bite to eat in Paris. Why not post queue times (digitally, of course) on the TTA so that after my lunch, I hop on the yellow line and observe that the SpaceShip Earth line is finally less than 30 minutes, so I head over there.

Like I said, I can't decide if this is a good idea or not. I think my creative juices have finally ebbed and besides, my wife has finally stopped watching Desparate Housewives tonight so I can return out of exile and enjoy the rest of my evening.

I think the original idea was to link all the parks with the monorail but it would be too expensive. I agree they do need some better park to park transportation.

They also need some indoor pools or waterpark for cold and rainy days.

I never thought of that. That's a great idea. What kind of themes would you have in mind?

I like the roller coaster idea. I know there are rumors going around about a villians park which would be almost all thrill rides. I love that idea. I'm hoping the more Disney hears this rumor, maybe they will consider doing it.

I so had this idea!!!!!! I never thought Disney would do it since it was villains. I even came up with ride ideas like Ursalas whirlpool where it would be an enclosed freefall that spins with a large water screan so you would feel like you are in a whirlpool, also Escape from the Underworld, based on Hercules as a 4-D ride such as Spiderman at Islands of Aventure... They could have a themed fairground area like the one in Pinochio ... where they were all turned into Donkeys, sorry I can not think of what is was called.

It would be so neat if they really did this.

What would you guys put as the center piece of a Villians' Park? A dark castle (Malificent) or maybe the mountain from Fantasia (Bald Mountain, I think).

They have this its called Pleasure Island it is in Downtown disney that is the premiss to it thats why it truly is an island if you look at it

I would LOVE some sort of transportation in Epcot that goes to the World Showcase. It is such a long walk! It could make a full loop of the park, with a couple of stops in World Showcase.

It seems appropriate then that alot of the people that go there turn into "donkeys" :rotfl:
