Can anyone help me with some advice and trip planning. We are going to wdw next september and want to go to hh in feb. Has anyone gone in feb. and what is it like than and we have a two yr old and four yr old and wife is worried nothing for them to do. So need help to sell this trip and how is hh in feb?

You may want to post this over on the DVC-planning board since that resort is part of the Disney Vacation Club. I've been there many times as we own there but never in February. There is always tons of stuff to do for kids, just a little less in the off-season. It will definitely be chilly!

February is definitely off season for HHI, so it will be very quiet as many things are seasonal there. It will possibly even be cold, and definitely the ocean will be cold. The pool is heated but even in March it was too cold for us.

I would definitely post this on the DVC planning forum and get more replies to whether the resort offers children's activities at that time.

HHI can be very cold in Feb, 99% chance there will be no swimming or beach activities going on at that time. But if you dont care about that it might be a great time to go as Im sure the crowds will be significantly less

Now if weather is important to you, you might want to think about simply switching the Disney and HH plans. HHI is absolutley beautiful in Sept, not too crowded still great weather, the water is still warm after an entire summer.

And WDW can get pretty good weather in Feb(much better than SC). With heated pools you definately will have the option of swimming there

We went to HHI once in February. Golf rates went up March 5, so after going in March the first time, we decided to go 2 weeks earlier in February. I mean, how much cooler could it be? Well, it was freezing! Windy, rainy all week, just plain miserable. And of course, the whole time we were there, the CMs were telling us how great the week before had been, sunny and in the 80s. Next year, DH decided to pay the higher golf rates and go back in March. However, the activities still happened in February-I was the only one for the "3 hour tour" of the island (the one with Connie and the little bus) so I got a private tour. And I even went on the Dolphin Watch one day (although that was a real experience!) All the resturaunts were open though.

Well... Hey, Bob. The next trip to wdw in September is going to be great. Sorry, but HHI in February is not a good time to go unless it is just you and your wife looking for some quality time together (alone). This is a great time for couples to re-connect.... otherwise... not such a good time.

Sorry, Rob

appreciate all the feedback and anymore would be great. dont have much of a choice but going in feb. can i wait and book like a week in advance with my pts or not so i can see what the weather is going to be that week

Sorry to present such a downer.... it doesn't have to be that. HHI in Feb is going to be cold, but this is not a bad time for a husband and wife. It can be an intimate time... a time to snuggle and be close. Walk the boardwalks and experience the need to be close....
