Disney Gift Card Deals

Starting tomorrow, Stop and Shop is offering $20 off of groceries for every $100 in gift cards you buy. This may be regional. I live in the NYC area. The $20 coupon prints on your receipt after the GC purchase is completed. Limit of 1 per transaction, so I do a couple of separate transactions every time I shop. They had this offer last year and I stocked up on Disney GC's. This offer runs from 11/10 - 11/30 and the $20 off coupon expires on 12/7. With my Amex Blue 6% back at supermarkets, this makes each GC 26% off.

Have you gone yet? I just got back from my S&S. I picked up one of the select any amount $15-500 and had the cashier put on $100. No coupon printed out. Customer service was clueless but handed me $20 cash back. The offer states Re-loadable gift cards are not valid. I have 2 theories.
1. Because it is not a set denomination their registers see it as Re-loadable.
2. Based on my research, all Disney Gift Cards are Re-loadable, just not in store. S&S therefor registers it correctly, and won't give a coupon.

I'm curious of someone else's experience. I'll go back and try buying 2 Set-denomination $50 cards.

I'm interested to find out as well. In the past, I've done the Disney variable amounts with no problem with this type of promo. I haven't seen the ad, but does it say it's only for certain brands? I'm guessing no since customer service gave you $20 back.

I know that last week they were having issues with digital coupons not working. I know this is a separate issue, but who knows.

I went this morning and did 3 transactions with re-loadable cards, 2 Disney and 1 Starbucks. The coupons printed out just fine. I was worried about going the 1st day of the offer because I had the same problem as you last year. It is possible your S & S doesn't have this offer loaded into their system yet. When it happened to me, customer service ended up giving me a $20 S & S gift card instead, which was great because those never expire. You did better just getting the $20 back.

I need to pay for my vacation package on Tuesday. I was planning on purchasing the Disney Gift cards from Sam’s but heard that they limit quantities. Is this true? I was going to purchase 6 of the $500 ones.
Does anyone know how many I can purchase at once?

I can only tell you about my experience from last January-ish. I was only limited because someone had come in before me and all but cleaned them out of $500.00 according to the associate I spoke with. She said they were waiting on another shipment and to come back that afternoon. Since it was too far to do that for my liking, I moved on to BJ's. There was some promo going on but I forget which cc.

When I purchased 6 I went through self checkout and split it into two transactions without any problems.

No Disney gift cards in the Sam's sale of course, but they do have a lot on their sale list....Restaurants, theaters. There are some Landry restaurants in there. Also some Florida attraction that must be fairly close to Disney. Dinosaur world or something like that. I noticed that a lot of the cards offered aren't in stock for online sales though.

I bought five $50 visa gift cards at Kroger. They took $25 off, basically offsetting the fees. But for some reason I got 450 fuel points instead of 500???

ETA they only give you fuel points on $45 for each card. I'm out $1! :)

Weird. I wonder if it depends on area. It's been awhile since I bought any of those, but last time I got fuel points on the full card value and the fee, even though it was a $10 off a $100 card.

I don't get points on the fee anymore. So they gave me 2x points on $225 ($250- $25 in coupons).

That works out to about $3.15 savings in gas per card if you can use the full 35 gallons. It seems like a not so great deal, but at the same time, if you can churn them through again thefuture, it adds up. Something else is, I feel a whole lot more comfortable using 1 $50 Visa card for a gift card transaction than $100. If I buy groceries along with whatever gift card I buy in the future with this, it just seems like it will be simpler. Even if it does work out to more shopping stops. I hope that makes sense.

Yes its actually an "E-gift card" offer and once you purchase it, it will be emailed to the address you put use. From there you can print it out or just use your phone when you go into the store to get the Disney Gift Card. Like I said I usually wait until I receive the promo, everything is on my phone and they scan all of it in one simple transaction. I get the loadable Disney Gift Card. EASY![/QUOTE

Is there any promo code you need to put in or is automatic? I clicked the banner at the top of the page and it did not produce a code Screenshot_20171111-145305.png

It's automatic but you need to have at least 1 gift card with $150 on it to see the $15 free promo gift card added into your cart by the system. If you put a single $450 gift card into cart, you will see 3 X $15 promo gift cards added to cart.

What state are you in? I went to our store in CT and there are no signs and manager doesn't know about promo. Our ad has a 5x gas rewards promo instead.

It's automatic and there is no need to click on the banner. It should show you dollar amount choices: $25, $50, $150 etc. just click on the $150 and on the right side you should see in your cart the $150 GC and $15 Promo.
