Disney Gift Card Deals

On mine, I got 490 fuel points. I got 4 of the $50 Visa GC with the green gift on the front, but they didn't have a 5th of that design so I got Visa gift card with a shiny silver background and the card pictured shows as black. So, I think I got fuel points for the activation fees on the green gift design cards, but not for the black card with a silver background. Weird.
Interesting. I always buy the silver ones. I'll try the green gift ones next time:)

Does anyone know if the offers vary depending on which card you have, i.e. higher fee = better offers?

I used to have the regular Blue Card but recently upgraded to the $95 fee card for the 6% on groceries for the gc purchases. I am VERY new and inexperienced in this hobby so I never even realized I had special offers with the old card. So much to learn!
exactly as noted..... it very well could be 36% in above pp's notes on grocery purchased cards since my BCP has 0 annual fee for the first year,so could theirs. You can search for better offers before applying, like reddit has referral threads that are usually better card offers (in my case the BCP offer I got was 0 AF first year + $200 straight up cash back)
AAH! sorry that reply belongs over in the I love credit cards thread....:thumbsup2 although the first point I made applies here too lol I get the threads mixed up!

I noticed some fine print on the $20 Stop & Shop grocery coupon that I don't remember from last year. After "limit one coupon per customer per transaction," which is normal, it says "limit 10 offers per household." Although there is no limit like this printed in the Stop & Shop circular, I wonder of they are only going to allow 10 $100 gift card purchases. Since I have only purchased 5, I won't know the answer until I purchase the 11th, which will be sometime this week.

Went back today. Did 2 of the $50 GC per transaction. No problem this time. FYI to all: on the coupon itself it says maximum of 10 per household, and only 1 $20 coupon can be used, per transaction, self-checkout is not allowed. Not valid on the usual suspects (Gift Cards, Lotto, Tobacco, Milk).

I didn't see you already posted this until I had posted. I hope we will be able to purchase more than 10. I will post back after I buy the 11th one.

Weird. I wonder if it depends on area. It's been awhile since I bought any of those, but last time I got fuel points on the full card value and the fee, even though it was a $10 off a $100 card.

It must have just changed at our Kroger also(Kentucky).
Had the $5 off repeatable coupon Saturday, then 4x points Saturday only.
Bought 5-$50 Visa cards for $249.75.
Received 1,100 fuel points. It has to be based on the $50 FV of the card - $5 coupon. ($45x5)

Actually used my Meijer CC where there was a targeted promo for $10 in Meijer rewards for any $250 purchase, making me close to another $10 there.

We easily fill 3x a month and usually have a goal of about 3,000 fuel points. This makes it easy to achieve.

1,000 points =$35 off a tank of gas.

That offer saved me $35 plus I have another 100 points toward another fill.
I'm also a quarter short from $10 a Meijer.

Love these types of offers.

Is anyone else unable to get the CashStar deal for Best Buy gift cards to work? I can get the cards - plus the additional $15 each in my cart, but the purchase won't complete. I got an email from my credit card fraud alert, which is what I figured was holding up the purchase, and acknowledged that I validated the purchase. It still won't let me purchase them. Any ideas?

I just did it no problem.

Did you try to purchase multiple times before clearing the fraud alert from your bank? If so Best Buy's system may have flagged your account and it won't let you make a purchase until that has cleared. You can try calling them but it will take a few days to be cleared. If you have a different credit card I would suggest using that.

It may be fine on the purchase side... but on the redemption there could be a block of only 10 per membership card. I have 2 membership cards, so I'm not expecting an issue. Have you used the self-checkout to purchase? I'm thinking of checking so I don't hold up a cashier when I head back.

Just saw on Slickdeals, RiteAid has $50 BestBuy gc's where you get 800 plenti points with purchase, which is supposed to be worth $8. I have a plenti card but have never used it. If I take advantage of this offer, do I just get $8 back on any future purchase at any store that uses plenti (thinking Macy's Black Friday sales, maybe Rite aid also)? Or do I have to rack up a certain number of points before using them?

yes you will get $8 back on a future purchase (available the next day) can not be used towards gift cards. you do have to have at least $2 in points to spend any at riteaid. not sure about macy's

I have never been able to purchase gift cards at the self-checkout. I always go to a cashier (or customer service if I am only buying 1 card and no groceries).

I have "hoarded" a bunch of Meijer gc's. Anyone know if Meijer allows you to buy Disney gc with Meijer gc? I started using a little at a time by adding a Dis gc with my grocery purchase and paying in part with the equivalent Meijer gc. It would be faster if I could just buy all at once, but I'm too chicken to try....

Rite Aid has a bunch of free after Plenti point items in their Thanksgiving Day ad. Many items are everyday items like Kleenex, toothpaste, and light bulbs. I usually outlay around $80 at RA on Thanksgiving day, then use the $80 in Plenti points on Black Friday at Macys, making 5-6 sweaters free for the in laws.

I'm not sure if you earn Plenti points while redeeming the points, but the earn at Rite Aid, use at Macys method is what I've done for several years. Sad to hear the Rite Aid/Walgreen merger is taking all the Rite Aid's in KY away in 2018. :(

Sounds like a great idea. I saw Macy's has some really good Black Friday deals this year. I don't usually shop there, but do like their stuff!

I feel like I have something to contribute today! I got an email for my Discover It card for 10% cash back bonus on up to $100 at CVS or online until 12/31. I'm sure it's a targeted thing, but if you got it it's $10 off a Disney GC, right? :thumbsup2

I have 3 different Amex cards (Blue regular, SimplyCash, and Everyday) which have no annual fee and I have gotten plenty of Amex offers. I don't think paying an annual fee has anything to do with getting better offers. I even got the Sams Club offer last year of 20% back on the first $1200 of purchases on the simplyCash card (and the 2 authorized users on it) allowing me to Buy $3600 of Disney gift cards at Sams Club last year for 25% off (with the discount Sam's Club offered on Disney gift cards it came out to 25%). Note that the SimplyCash card has no annual fee but it is a business card. However, anyone can sign up for a business card by calling yourself a sole proprietor. If you ever sold anything on ebay, you are a business.

The offers on my bce (no fee) are a subset of what I get on my bcp. I get much better offers on my bcp. I cannot say that if I did not have my bcp I wouldn't get the better offers on my bce.
