Subbing. Saving up for this fall and would like to be able to do it with little discounts along the way on GCs.
I purchased yesterday & have not been cancelled as of yet.
How does it come? Do you sign for the package? I ordered last Sunday and it hasn't come yet. It was suppose to come yesterday. I was home all day and nothing.

At my local BB they had $50 and $75 increments but they did also have the variable amount cards that could be purchased for any value up to $500. So you should be able to load the entire $165 on there. I wasn't aware of this prior and had the same question you had. But I was looking to buy a bunch of them anyway so I bought 5 of the PPDG $165 deals so I had an even amount in case they only had $50 or $75 increments. I ended up loading $750 on to 2 cards purchased from BB.
Super weird. My husband has the Discover card so he placed the order for the gift cards and they called him about a payment verification issue too. Then it went through and we got the cards Friday. They were all activated and were put immediately into my DVA. Normally I only buy $500 GCs at Kroger, but it was worth dealing with 100s this time.
Learning that I could pull off the sticker instead of scratching last year changed my life!
Are you sure it was $75 and not $25? I have never seen a $75 Disney gift card.
I love this extra savings step. I used it last year for AP, 6 trips, and a Cruise and got a great bonus GC back.I ordered both from target (red card discount)which arrived quickly & were left @ my door. I ordered from BJs & missed UPS 2xs & had to go to the facility for pickup. Plus ebates & the discover card...luv this discount only wish I had known about it years ago!
Thanks to you all for the great info!
Now I need to learn about the Disney vacation club account for more savings...can someone give me the rundown?
I see there's a new offer on my Amex card this morning...spend $200 on Amex Gift cards get $10 back. Minus the 3.95 activation fee that's a small % back, but if I use it to increase what I've made through Swagbucks then use it during a 4x fuel points offer at Kroger it would increase my savings a little. I'll easily max out my 6% grocery limit with the Amex so this would be in addition to that.
I'm wondering if anyone has run an Amex offer through a portal like Swagbucks? I'm guessing you can't get both (it says as much in the offer terms I know), but just thought I'd ask in case anyone has had any luck. Maybe @bbsearchlight knows?

What about shipping charges on your Amex card purchase? I seem to recall being able to find coupon codes to erase either the purchase fee or the shipping charge (but not both).
Just saw another deal, which gives a decent discount (even if you don't have the ink card) . . .

There's a free shipping code on Swagbucks and I got an email with a code for no fee. Not sure if they'll work together.
I have a question for those of you using the DVA, have you tried funding it with the pre-paid debit/credit cards? I think I'm ready to open and will use my stock pile of Disney gift cards for initial funding. But with discounts on the visa/mastercard pre-paids I wonder if I have to turn them into a gift card or I can cut out the middle man and fund direct with a pre-paid.
I can't see why not, but just wondered if any one had experience with it.

For larger dollar cards, yes, the hassle would be worth it. But I have some small dollar values leftover that I'd have to combine and there's usually a limit to how many credit cards can be used in one transaction. So for those I'd rather just put the left over into the account. But wouldn't it save you more to use the prepaid to purchase Disney online at BJ's or Sam's instead of directly funding the DVA?
Sweet, thanks!!I have used the Visa and MC cards you can get from swagbucks directly into the DVA. Much easier than dealing with converting to Disney GC.
