Is southwest shopping a frequent flyer acct? My points are going to expire there this month unless I do something. Would an order via eBay extend that?

Purchases through the RR shopping portal count toward keeping your RR account active. The problem arises with whether the points will credit soon enough to preserve your points.

eBay is a Rapid Rewards shopping partner. Currently, the rebate is 0.5%, but if you're just looking to keep your points from expiring, that'd be worth it.

Wow this is serious stuff. I am impressed. Can I ask how much money you all have saved doing this? Like what could I turn $100 into? I am just curious because it seems like a lot of work but must be really worth it!

With $100, here is how much I earn on one round trip from Target to Ebay and Back to Target.
At Target: Buy $100 Ebay GC for $95 with Redcard discount. Save $5 and get $1.33 cash back from mypoints
At Ebay during 5x Offer: Buy $100 Target Card for $102.99 with shipping. Get $10 from Ebay Bucks and $1 from Ebates cash back. Net profit $14.34.

While your waiting for Ebay Bucks offers, do Swagbucks or some other GPT (Get paid to...) site to get more Target cards.

How are you able to get your PP problems resolved? Are you getting an error on the checkout? I get one and have called PP and ebay both multiple times...called PP at least 6 times, have been escalated to everyone I think they have working there, told 15 different answers...and it still doesn't work. So frustrated with it. SO, just wondering what your 'fix' was??

I am having PP problems and just got off the phone after 15 minutes. I got the standard "this is a known issue and we're working on it." I guess I'll keep trying. They did tell me if you go through the Australian ebay site, your order will go through without issue, but then you miss out on the extra from going through a portal, if you do this. They told me as long as you've activated the 4X ebay bucks offer on the regular site, you will earn it with your purchase on the Australian site.

I am fairly new at this and signed up for eBucks about 2 weeks ago and have yet to see a promotion. I have checked my e mail, my spam box, and my trash every time someone here posts about getting a 3, 4, or 5x promotion, and received no e mails. I have checked and unchecked and rechecked the box about the promotions and surveys on eBay's site. I have looked on eBay's site for info on the deals in the top banner and scrolling banners, and haven't seen them there either. I did see the $20 off of $100 in an e mail and on the site (the first one where you couldn't use it on just a gift card) but didn't see the second one but the code worked for me on the second one.

My question is for those that are receiving the #x promotions- when you put something in your cart, does the eBucks the site say you are going to earn reflect the higher percentage, or does it show you the usual 2%? I am asking because I have started putting gift cards in my cart and checking the eBucks I will earn, and still only see 2% so I am assuming that I am not getting the offer at all, but wondering what those that are getting it are seeing.

The amount of eBucks that the website says that you will earn is reflective of your X% offer. IOW, when I go to an auction item that sells for $100, it shows that I will earn 8 eBucks for the purchase if you activated the 8% offer.

Thank you @Marionnette that is what I thought, and exactly what I was hoping. That way I can stop stressing that I won't see the offer and I can just double check.

One more question- when you say "if you activated the 8% offer" what does that mean? If I do get the offer do I have to click through it to get the x% off?

You have to activate by either clicking through the email link or the link on your ebay homepage. Otherwise, it's just the usual 2% eBucks back. If you didn't get the offer, there won't be any link to click.

I was told initially by them to go through the Canadian site but also have tried the Australian but I don't understand how to do that when GCM does not sell on the Canadian or Australian??? I'm obviously missing something there.

What error are you getting? Are you able to get to the checkout screen on ebay at all? Log in to PP? I can get to checkout but I get an error after I attempt to log in. I can also use my ebay account just fine on my old PP so it's my new PP acct that is messed up. It is a business account and is verified so all should be well. But it's not :-(

Thanks @eeyoresmom ! Your post was what got me searching the banners as well. I don't think I got the offer- I have a few things in the scrolling banner that mention March Madness, but they have specific items they are tied to. I tried looking at the gift card one (up to 15% off) and then searching for Target gift cards, but still just see 2%

I did earn eBucks this quarter, so maybe once those are activated they will start giving me the promos

I am saving about 45% on my trip. I have already churned all I need for this vacation and have the beginnings of the next one (which isn't even planned yet). It's totally worth it!

When I hit "proceed to checkout" I'm getting an error saying "Something went wrong. Please try to check out again." The lady I was on the phone with gave me the item number to type in and I did it while on the phone and it was for the Target gift card, but I didn't write it down, and when I just went back to my cart to see what it was, my cart is empty. Sorry!

I just went and checked and now my "banner" at the top of the home page looks different. That "gift card up to 20% off was not there this morning. There was a picture of I think a basketball floor with the "up to 8% off" Seriously, I would have missed it though. Even when I clicked through that to activate the 8% and "start shopping" it told me there were no 8% deals on Target giftcards. I had to click on another link , add the target cards to my basket and see what ebucks I was awarded. I'm going to try it again and see what happens...........ok, so I accessed a Target card purchase through that banner saying 20% off. No Target cards listed, added one to my cart anyway. On that first page it showed the regular 2% extra bucks. The last page showed the 8 % extra bucks.I did however click to activate the 8% this morning so that could be why. I just started earning ebucks less than a week ago. Not sure if that is a factor.

I use these sites to see who is offering the best cash back. Just be sure to read the exclusions (like when I thought I was getting 2% via swagbucks, but it was only 2% on a few things and 1% most things including gift cards).
