I usually only do sears or kmart when I can get a physical gift card. If you have a digital gift card, the manager has to come and override. It is tempting to jump on it, but I am going to do the 4x fuel points buying target cards at Kroger instead since I can do that with less gift card risk, and I get 6% cb from my cc for grocery store purchases, so total will be 20% from kroger and then 5% from target, for ~25% rather than 15% off at ebay, 8% back from ebay bucks, and 1% from cb, for ~24% but I'd be using up part of my ebay cap.

Just sites like Raise, CardPool, etc.

Gift cards purchased on eBay through GiftCardMall are not referred to as reseller purchases here, as GCM is the same supplier that stocks gift cards in Target, grocery stores, etc.

Resellers are websites that offer GCs that people no longer want to people who have a use for them. They sell at a discount and they keep a portion of the sale for themselves and then pay the seller. Raise would be an example of a reseller. Gift Card Mall would be an example of an authorized merchant.

Wow this is serious stuff. I am impressed. Can I ask how much money you all have saved doing this? Like what could I turn $100 into? I am just curious because it seems like a lot of work but must be really worth it!

Now that I am getting the extra bucks promos I have another question. I have a trip in May I will need another $1000 for in Disney gift cards. I have a really big trip next March that I need between $2000 and $3000 for. Right now I have $1600 in Target gc in transit from churning over the past 5 days. I did take advantage of today's 4x because I do need some funds for May. When my Target cards arrive should I buy $1600 in ebay gc to have ready for the next 4x/5x or should I keep some in Target? Is $1600 too much to purchase during one extra bucks offer? To be clear, I can afford to risk these funds if the policies change, just want to make sure I'm not missing something.I have only spent $200 of my $5000 ebay limit on paying with gift cards.

That's a tricky question, since April will be an eBay bucks redemption month and ebay bucks deals are less common then. If the deal isn't until late April, it'll take a week to get those cards. Then to get the 5% off from Target to Disney, you'll have to wait another week for shipping.

I think, for me, if it (your trip) were early May, I'd only move half back to eBay. If it's mid-late May, I'd probably gamble on being able to do one more cycle.

Depends how much time you have. Once you start the ball rolling, it just grows and grows the longer you stay with it.

Do you guys know about how long it takes for eBay Bucks to show up? I placed 3 orders in the past two days. Order yesterday showed up, first order today is NOT showing, but second order today showed up immediately. I'm missing $12. I have no problem waiting for it to show if it sometimes takes a while, but found it strange that my second order is showing up and not my first. And YES... to answer the question ahead of time, the first order DID process and is showing in my paypal account (second order is not yet).

Depends how much time you have. Once you start the ball rolling, it just grows and grows the longer you stay with it.

And I'll just add that you do not want to go at it too aggressively. There was a poster not too long ago who was banned from making further purchases on Target .com. She had purchased tens of thousands worth of GCs from Target and then eBay over a few month's time. She had also bought GCs from one of the resellers.

Target won't tell her why she was banned but her activity was probably enough to raise a red flag with their fraud department.

I can't remember the exact rule, but I swear I have something in my head about $100 Ebay Bucks being the max per transaction. So that means for $1000 in gift cards and 5x ebay bucks you'd be making $100 Ebay bucks which is the max. Maybe someone else can clarify.

I think you answered your own question - when your order posts to your PP, your ebay bucks will show.

eBay has clean cards if you buy from gift card mall. The cards have no history besides the initial load. Raise and cardpool are resellers.

Yes. So at 4x, I'd break up your purchase into $1200 or less chunks. ($1200 x .08 = $96)
At 5x, keep it at or under $1,000.

ETA: And your quarterly limit is a total of $500 in ebay bucks per ebay account.

Now the first order is showing up a 'payment pending' That explains why its not showing up on my ebay bucks area yet, but still strange that its pending when the second order has already processed. Oh well...I'll wait and see for a bit.

To answer the statement about me answering my own question.... No, didn't make sense. The OPPOSITE sales were showing up on both sites.
First order WAS showing on PP, but not Ebay.
Second order NOT showing on PP, but WAS on eBay.

Sorry for wasting everyone's time, but it was just strange how it was showing up. Still is, but playing the 'wait and see' game for now.

Hi! I am new here and I am sure this has been answered at some point but as there are 600 pages I hope you guys will forgive me!

I have a Target RedCard and we were planning to buy Disney gift cards from there and get 5% off. But then we read about people who buy Target gift cards at a discount, to then buy Disney gift cards. Sounds great, but I saw in my Target CC fine print that the 5% off only comes off the portion of your total that you will be using the credit card for, AFTER any gift cards have been applied. From the last few threads it seems like a lot of you are buying eBay gift cards to Target... so am I missing something?

I don't mean to pick on this particular poster (there certainly have been many similar), but here is my two cents: yes, there 600 pages, but there are 600 pages for a reason. That reason is because the process that the experienced posters here are using is very complicated, and often there are glitches because of factors beyond our control, such as not getting an ebucks offer, or a particular eBay seller not having Target gift cards in stock, or PayPal not working for reasons that are totally unclear. If you want to understand the process, you really are going to have to spend at least several hours reading back over the posts here. You will then have to see how the process works or doesn't work with your target.com account, eBay account, and PayPal account. If you don't have the time or patience to spend figuring out the process, it just is not going to work for you.

MyPoints, ebates, Swagbucks, Southwest Shopping, Sunshine, iConsumer, etc.

It's a very long list and depends on who is offering the best amount back at the time and whatever site you feel comfortable with.

I use Ebates. Keep an eye on it because it doesn't credit very quickly (sometimes not at all). They credit 1%.
