I have never know Target to let you buy a Target gift card with another Target gift card. Their policy is that you can't use Target gift cards to buy any gift cards. Disney cards are entertainment cards and bypass the system. You were lucky you could do it the last time.

Well, technically the Disney GCs are still GCs. It has nothing to do with them being "entertainment" cards. That's an urban myth. The rule applies to purchasing prepaid GCs such as Visa, AmEx and MC prepaid cards with a Target GC. The registers won't allow those transactions. The registers WILL allow you to purchase one (or more) Target GCs with another Target GC, or to use multiple Target GCs to purchase a single Target GC. In fact, that's what they did at customer service for me all of the time prior to the GC app allowing you to combine GCs yourself.

I am kinda nervous about ordering another $300 worth. I am nervous that all of a sudden Target will no longer allow the purchase of Disney gift cards or something. I would then be stuck with $600 worth. But I think I am willing to take that chance.

Don't get me wrong. I think that any way you can legitimately save money on your Disney vacation is a good thing. I'm just in awe of how much determination it must have taken to accumulate that much in GCs $300 at a time.

I shop at Target enough that I would be able to use the GCs I got even if they pulled Disney GCs off their shelves tomorrow. The stores around me all sell groceries, so the money would get spent without a problem. If you know that you can spend it, then I see no reason not to buy enough to cover what you need for your Disney vacation and/or future Target purchases.

Yep, I do it all the time. In fact I said, "I do it all the time" to the manager and he said any other day it's fine, but today for the promotion it was their "policy" to not allow it because it's "money laundering." (Which is absurd because it's not that I have ill-gotten gains I'm trying to legitimize. That's the point of money laundering. Not to save a few bucks.)

It was! I was sort of taken aback. I wanted to say, "you don't actually know what money laundering is, do you?" but I decided to be civil and handed over my MasterCard instead.

That's why I would have been irate. It's like he was accusing you of doing something illegal.

went to the target store after getting annoyed with cancelled orders online. easy peasy at store.. used same payment method twice. different registers. Now hopefully they'll be activated tomorrow since i used same payment method twice

I was thinking I could get groceries If something was to go wrong I suppose. Kinda out of the way, but I would need to get around 2 weeks worth at a time. The grocery route is why I am willing to chance it.

They've offered 4x or better at least three times in the past 2 months. No guarantees for the future, but odds are good.

Thank you! I went back and read through quite a bit of this thread and it seems like target goes out of stock pretty quickly when that happens. I have 5 months to play around with though!

Well I went ahead and purchased a $300 card, incognito, with a new name, email address, credit card, and phone number. But still had the same billing address, so who knows. I got the confirmation email so far, so who knows how long it will take me to get the actual email card. Took like 7 hours for the first two I ordered. I know you can't use them till tomorrow, but has anyone went ahead and linked them to your Target account?

Yesterday decided to go to B and M store. Got $300 in electronic for $270 couldn't decided if I wanted enought to pay dues. Decided to go for it went up front DD got a lesser amount and I got another $300 did get two $5 movies and did use a $25 dollar gift card to purchase with no problem.
I did try online this AM put site never went to check out.

I can't decide if I want to go to Target to get some supplemental amounts. It's like...an hour drive so...not close.

But, I am kind of worried that.....even though all the gift cards have come through so far, that somehow between now and the time they will be activated that something will get cancelled.
