Well, technically the Disney GCs are still GCs. It has nothing to do with them being "entertainment" cards. That's an urban myth. The rule applies to purchasing prepaid GCs such as Visa, AmEx and MC prepaid cards with a Target GC. The registers won't allow those transactions. The registers WILL allow you to purchase one (or more) Target GCs with another Target GC, or to use multiple Target GCs to purchase a single Target GC. In fact, that's what they did at customer service for me all of the time prior to the GC app allowing you to combine GCs yourself.I have never know Target to let you buy a Target gift card with another Target gift card. Their policy is that you can't use Target gift cards to buy any gift cards. Disney cards are entertainment cards and bypass the system. You were lucky you could do it the last time.
