Whew! I bought $4500 in two different targets in the Dallas area. I am debating on just going straight to buying Disney cards online for 5% off or attempting the eBay thing. I have never done anything with eBay. Yay! So glad I got the savings!

Can someone point me to the post that explains the 'Ebay thing'?

Here's my summary (rather than searching for a post). Use Target gift cards to buy ebay gift cards. You get 5% off if red card is default payment. Sometimes Target has these on sale (e.g., $100 ebay gift card for $90 + 5% off with red card). Use the ebay gift card to buy Target gift card from gift card mall. Go through ebates (sometimes it is 1%, sometimes it's been 0%). Gift card mall sometimes has Target gift cards on sale and then the shipping is free. Otherwise it's about $3 for the first card, $1 each card after (so you want $100 cards). Gift card mall is often out of $100 cards. Get ebay bucks on purchase. Hopefully ebay has a 4x ebay bucks special running (I have yet to be invited to such an offer). If the stars align, ebay is running 4x ebay bucks, gift card mall has a promotion, and Target has ebay gift cards on sale.

Does eBay offer 4X ebucks very often? My trip isn't until June, so I am trying to get the most bang for my buck.

They've offered 4x or better at least three times in the past 2 months. No guarantees for the future, but odds are good.

They do tend to skip the month that ebay bucks are valid for, however. So, I didn't get a single *x offer in October, and suspect I won't in January, either. I will probably get a 5x offer or 2 in February, but only *before* I can use ebay gift cards again....

I've seen a few posts about buying the Disney gift cards tomorrow online and that somehow saves another 5% if you have a Redcard (which I do) but I don't understand how that works if you're paying with the gift cards? Is it just some glitch in Target's system? And do the cards ship for free?

Set red card as default payment. 5% comes off. Before you submit order, edit payment method to pay with gift card. 5% discount remains but order is paid with gift cards. Gift cards ship for free. Also, put something cheap in that isn't excluded by ebates, go through ebates, and get 2% back.

I would make the trip to a Target store and make my purchase but I don't know if that's an option for you. Creating a new Target account will probably not work. I believe that between tracking via cookies and tracing IPs, Target is doing what they can to prevent people from taking advantage of this offer repeatedly online.

This is exactly what I did! I went through the self check-out twice and had no problems using any of my gift cards to pay. So, was able to get the $600 I wanted. I could have done it over and over and over as the teen boy working the self check-out lanes couldn't care less how many I was buying nor what payment method I was using lol.

I did it very early this morning. The GC balance shows up as $0 in the app.

Ok, I will just wait till tomorrow to put the gift card digits into my app.

Right. And that's a verified account, correct? An account that is not verified has a much lower limit I thought.

I can't decide if I want to go to Target to get some supplemental amounts. It's like...an hour drive so...not close.

But, I am kind of worried that.....even though all the gift cards have come through so far, that somehow between now and the time they will be activated that something will get cancelled.

I hear ya. I am still concerned that some of mine will get cancelled even though I have the digits to the cards on hand.

3 per kind per transaction is the limit. In one transaction you could buy 3 -100 and 3 -50. Or just do multiple orders.

I was very happy to see this deal. We made several trips to target today for these. I just noticed that the top of each of my receipts says expires 3/19/16. Do these cards actually expire in only three months? Does anyone else see this on their receipts?

Target receipts are only valid for 90 days for returns.
