Just stopping in to report I drove to my local Target store (2.5 miles from home) and purchased a $115 GC to try the deal (amount I had in Target GCs from previous deals). The cashier was all excited because I was her first customer to buy the Target GC today (I guess they were all educated on the sale). She jumped the gun though and typed in the discount of $11.50 because it didn't automatically come off. Then when she hit enter, an additional $11.50 came off. I kept looking at the price and wondering why it was only $92. I thought perhaps she only gave me a $100 GC or something. The whole ordeal was fast, since it was early when the store opened and not too many people in line. I looked at my receipt and realized what happened. I went back in the store for another additional $300 on a Target GC, and informed the second cashier of the lack of need to do anything special. I also stopped over at customer service to inform them of the first cashier's error. They left me keep the extra $11.50! I know it isn't much, but they did educate the first cashier how to complete further transactions, and I don't feel guilty. win/win. Hope everyone else has a magical day too, in regards to this wonderful deal on Target GCs!

So I just read the last few pages but am still a little confused. Can someone kindly do a Target 10% promo "101" for any of us who don't fully 'get it'? Other than the obvious going to the store & buying them at 10% off. Would be very grateful!!

Buy a $300 target gift card online and / or in store for $270. They will be active tomorrow. Use it to buy Disney gift cards online. Set red card as default but pay with Target gift card. Go through ebates and throw in a ruler or something cheap that isn't excluded and you may get ebates on the whole order Total savings is around 15-17%.

Really, that's it in a nutshell. You can place an online order for an e-gift card(s) or mobile GC. The discount comes off during checkout. You can also go to your local Target store and buy a physical GC there. The 10% will come off at the register before you pay.

You can pay for the new GC with an existing Target GC, your Target REDCard or any CC that Target accepts. If you shop online, you can add a low-cost "filler" item in order to get the full cashback rebate through eBates. If you use a rewards CC, you will receive the points or cashback that the CC terms allow.

No. They also become active tomorrow after 10 AM CST. It says so, right on my receipt. If they were active immediately, there would be nothing to stop people from going from Target store to Target store to roll this deal over and over.

What would you guys do in my situation? Bought one card, order canceled and now, shopping cart is not taking the 10% because the system thinks I have used the promo. Sit on hold with CS only to be told (I'm guessing) that because I paid with a gift card, it was canceled and that I can't do that. OR just go create another Target.com account and try another order that way?

Me too!!! I had placed 4 orders, 3 just after 3 AM and then a 4th about 5 AM using guest checkout and different email addresses. Received confirmation for all, but only the actual certificate info on the first and last one. Had my daughter call customer service and after waiting 20+ minutes to talk to someone they told her to check again in another couple hours. UGHHHH. Wishing now I just went into the store.

Ordered $300 online this morning using giftcards purchased at Raise, got the order confirmation and delivery emails. Then went to Target and got another $300 gift card using my Discover and my DH went to a different register and purchased $300 using our Visa. (Our Target store occasionally gets sticky with the "you can't buy a giftcard with a giftcard" thing, so just didn't feel like it was worth the hassle to try and use Raise purchased cards in-store. We should be all set for Disneyland tickets once I order the Disney cards.

I would make the trip to a Target store and make my purchase but I don't know if that's an option for you. Creating a new Target account will probably not work. I believe that between tracking via cookies and tracing IPs, Target is doing what they can to prevent people from taking advantage of this offer repeatedly online.

I received my e-mail confirmation within the hour. I sure do wish I had more bucks to spend on this deal, but I'm kind of out of money at this point in December! My Raise/Target card worked like a charm and I tossed in a clearance Christmas pillow and a Star Wars toy to get eBates. Both are supposed to arrive on Dec. 24.


Last night I mentioned to DH what I've been doing with the churning to get the gift cards at a discount. He knows I’ve been saying that I would like just one more trip to Disney while the kids are still ‘young’. (Haven’t been since 2009.) He agreed with my plan to go to DLR for DS’s birthday over fall break 2016! He was really floored when I said I started off with $400 in free gift cards, but then again, he knows he is married to a supreme cheap a$$! ($200 bonus for opening Disney Chase Visa and $200 for cashing out CapitalOne rewards for Target gift cards.) Flights will be free on SWA…..looks like we’re on our way!

You guys are quick! I just got the email about the target gift cards and it has been posted here for hours. I don't need any more Disney gift cards but am going to buy 2 tickets on Southwest airlines in the coming weeks. Do I get the same discounts buying target gc then online Southwest gc as I would for Disney gc?

I waited about 5-10 minutes. First time I checked the balance it showed 0 and then I waited another 5 minutes or so and checked the balance again and it was available. To be on the safe side, I did go into Target as a guest and used a different email address to send them to this time.

I'm new to all of this but my understanding is that you buy Target gift cards for 10% off. Then, you use the discounted Target gift cards to buy Disney Gift Cards online. For example, I bought a $300 Target gift card today for $270. Tomorrow, I am going to go online and buy a $300 Disney Gift Card using my Target gift card I just bought so it is really like I'm getting a $300 Disney Gift Card for $270.

Also, if you have a Redcard (debit or credit), you can get an additional 5% percent off when you buy your Disney gift card online. So, you could actually get a total of 15% off to make getting a $300 Disney Gift Card for $255. Hope this helps. I just tried all of this for my first time today!
