Does anyone know if Lowe’s sells visa gc? I have an amex offer for 10%, but I can save more if I buy visa gc and run through swagbucks at Best Buy.

My nearest Lowe’s is not close, but I’d make the trip to pick up a few if I knows they were there

Probably the easiest option is to call that particular store and ask if they have any in stock. Even if Lowe's carries Visa gift cards (not sure if they do, but I think so), the drive will be a waste if there are none in stock at your store when you get there.

My Lowe's carries $200 cards. I seem to recall the fee being kinda high - $7 maybe??

My RMN went pending today for my Disney gc from BB that I purchased on 1/31 and used in store pickup. I didn't actually pick them up until the weekend. Fingers crossed for completion.

Me too. Mine were mailed and thankfully arrived activated. Fingers crossed for credit.

So, despite BB&B sending me an email saying one of my rebate forms had been rejected, I received all the gift cards in the mail that I was supposed to. Perhaps they had so many people call & complain that they got their IT staff to fix the problem or manually review & approve? *shrug* But the end result was that they made good on the cards they were supposed to, so I'm not really going to complain.

All of which is good because I'd tossed my receipts out after I got the first batch of emails saying they'd received my submission, so I didn't have any easy way to provide documentation of my purchase.
Glad it worked out for you. I can’t wait to get mine. Hopefully it’s $60 instead of $20. I bought a $200 MC and $100 Visa.

What’s everybody doing with their rebates cards? Using them or selling them to card cash? I’m undecided. Someone said registers accept gc for gc but some stores won’t allow them. I do need stuff they sell but I don’t need it right now

Hi guys, I need to buy a couple thousand dollars worth of gift cards for our next trip. I typically use Target for the easy 5%.

Are there any sign up bonuses for RMN? I haven't signed up yet. I saw that Sams has a $5 when you spend $70 deal. It says it excludes gift cards though. Do I need to purchase something else to help it qualify. TIA!

I have Sams and Costco memberships and most rewards credit cards. I prefer to use my HHonors Amex or Chase Sapphire though.

Now that I've finally run all of my Visa GCs through BB/SB, are US Bank Mastercard gift cards working at Best Buy to buy GCs? Would I set a pin through the website?

If you need a lot in a hurry, I'd recommend signing up for Dosh, linking your favorite rewards card, and heading to Sam's Club. Currently, Dosh gives you 2% cash back (limit $20 cash back in any 24-hour period) on in-store purchases with linked credit cards on top of your credit card rewards. Tack on Sam's discount on Disney GCs and you're ahead of Target by a percentage point or two. Additionally, if you sign up for Uber Local Visa (I don't remember the exact name), you can earn an additional 5% Uber credit for purchases that include a filler (non-GC) item.

If you have more time and a Best Buy that's convenient to you, taking advantage of Swagbucks' in-store purchase promotion will give you a higher percentage cash back, but it will take more days and trips to cross the finish line.

Usually they will include that information with the gift card. Often, you set the PIN on first use, but I can't recall if I've used that specific Mastercard pre-paid debit.

Thanks! I'm new to SB and RMN, but I'm willing to learn. I need $2000 in gift cards within the next 3 months.

In that case, probably a combination of both would work well/be easy. RMN has had some good deals, but they come and go quickly and are hard to buy a lot of at once. Dosh will periodically jump their Sam's club cash back to 6 or 8%, so you want to be ready when it does - it's usually only for a weekend.

Well, whoever is in charge of activating gift cards in Best Buy's shipping department this week needs some retraining. I had 1 of my 2 cards arrive not activated. Now I get to waste time on the phone (up there with prostrate exams in my list of favorite things to spend time doing).

Ha - replying to my own post...

22 minutes later, the issue was resolved. I'm glad it wasn't an hour and not resolved. Still, that seems like way too much time to me. In my opinion, verifying and fixing should take less than 5 minutes. I could see on the invoice exactly what the problem was. There are 2 different bar codes on the Disney gift cards - one on the card itself and one on the paper holder it's glued to. If the wrong one is scanned, things go off the rails.

If you look at the receipt, go to the "Return Form" section. Under "Additional Info", your gift card should have a long, 20-something digit serial #. If it has a serial number of 799366791560, they botched it because that's the UPC.

Concur, the number I had to read was the long one under the barcode. In store that is the code they scan that activates the cards. Serious oversight on their shipping department that their systems don’t make sure they scan that code.

Today I received my disney gift cards from BB and both of them are not activated. I was on the phone for an hour and they were only able to activate 1 of the 2 cards. They told me to call back in a day or two to see if they can activate the second one. WHAT! No, no, no and NO! If you can't activate this card, I want a replacement card. Let's see if I receive it. I bet I'll be calling in a day or two to find out where the replacement card is. I have NO CONFIDENCE in Best Buy. Sure wish I talked to the same customer service rep you had! :guilty:

Well, I called again today and they still say they can't activate the card. They will send me a replacement. Let's take bets if that one is activated! I guess I can say goodbye to the RMN $10 rebate. BB still hasn't told RMN that I made a purchase.

Since you have a Chase Sapphire, check into your offers. They have limits but for example, 10% off Lowe's up to $100. There was one for Office Depot and Max. I forgot how much that one was. Currently there is 30% off at Staples. I think the cash back limit was $19. I bought online. My not close to me Staples has very few gift cards. So i bought $51.99 Disney and $26.99 IHOP online. I havent received my ding from Chase on that one yet. They take over a week for me. But I did receive the ding from RetailMeNot for $5.

So hopefully 78.98- $19 Chase -5 Rmn = $54.98. Plus CSR Ur points to boot.

Really depends on how much running around you are willing to do.
