Disney fine art photography?

H all,

I'm getting way to close to my trip next week to think about new ideas.... But I found something I really want to do anyway!

I've been really bummed lately because none of our wedding photos are worthy of display at our house or our parents houses. This is mainly because my DH hates taking pics and of course that comes out in pics. So, log story short, he promised we could take some cute photos at disney with bride and groom ears(!! This is huge for anti-disney DH).

I was planing on just photo pass pics and even regular camera pics, but I stumbled upon fine art photography.

Few questions:

Has anyone used disney fine art photography for photo sessions at epcot or beach club?

If you did the mini sessions, did you have to retouch a lot of photos?

Do you think it's worth spending additional money ( our budget is a little tight after all the wedding expenses) for the private sessions?

If we did epcot WS, it would be $350 + prints. If we did it at BC (we're staying there), we could do a mini session , 20 min, and they give us a flash drive of the photos, but none of the photos are retouched.

Thanks in advance, and I know ultimately we'll have to decide if it is worth it to us, but I would like to hear if others have used it.

We have done the mini sessions before for family photos. We have done the Poly twice, and once at BC. We were happy with the pictures and felt it was worth what we paid.

We are doing the session in Epcot next month for my son's senior pictures. We are paying $100 extra to get the disc included with copyright release for all the photos. It's a little pricey, but it's his senior year and Epcot is his favorite park. He could have chosen HS or AK as well, but the park would be open so guests would be in the background.

I would not worry about the photos not being retouched. You can do that yourself at pixlr.com for free or for a small fee at picmonkey.com (which is much simpler to use.) You can automatically or manually adjust colors and balance and add special effects and "filters." It's so nice being able to airbrush skin, whiten teeth, "heal" blemishes, and smooth wrinkles a little! I doubt you need to worry about that last problem, but it made me much happier with our recent family photos. :goodvibes I would much rather receive my photos on a flash drive with a copyright release and be able to edit them myself than be required to purchase prints from the photographer now.

I've read here there are some excellent photographers who do not work for Disney but could take your pictures at the resorts.

Thanks for sharing your experience with it! I bet the epcot pics will be awesome :-)

Thanks, I'm usually not that great with editing ice, but if I own them, I can play with it. Very good point.

Thank you for the feedback :-)

I think we're going to opt for the mini session,... Now here's to hoping there is some availability during our trip!!!

Last year we hired an off site photographer and her fee was $250 for our entire family , which was 1.5 hr . We were staying at BWV, so that is where we had them taken. She mailed us the CD and they turned out great! We have used Disney in the past a couple of times and they turned out fairly good, but not the quality of a professional photographer.

When you used Disney in the past did you do the mini sessions or the longer sessions. We have done the mini session 3 times, but have the longer session scheduled for my son's senior pictures in a few weeks. Just wondering which you did, and how it compared if you have done the longer one. When I set up the time they told me it would take a few weeks for the editing before they mail us the CD with all the pictures. The mini session they just gave us the pictures when they were finished without editing.

He's having them done in Epcot. They called to reschedule last week because they accidentally scheduled while the princess marathon would be going through. We sure didn't want that in the background ha ha!

It's been a few years since we used Disney. I don't think they had 2 options, we had about 30 min and picked up the CD a couple of days later. The 2 times we used Disney we met them at GF.

So we did our mini-session at BC and the pics turned out fabulous. Our photographer spent more than 20 minutes with us and still asked us if we wanted additional areas.

It was a fantastic experience! The best part for me was having them in hand.

We've done engagement photos, wedding photos, and have paid so much to those photographers..... And this was so inexpensive, and in my opinion, we got the best pictures that we have ever taken. I highly recommend to anyone considering professional photos at disney.

We would love to do this. Where did you get the info?

If you google "disney fine art photography" their official link will be listed. They also refervtovevent photography, but I never got a working website.
