Wow, is all I can say. The Fantasy had an event.
I am sad and concerned for my favorite vessel. She is in need of care, and I am too far away to hug her, and assist in her restoration.
Some rods, bearings, shafts and blades were likely stressed during the Hurricane Sandy event, that possibly finally failed.
We have missed CC prior and received nothing for compensation.
For
DCL to offer 20% discounts
and OBC for future sailings to these pax, something must have really gone wrong, besides missing CC.
Perhaps since it was NOT weather, DCL was kind enough to compensate.
Or, current prices are so high, they need to give out discounts aboard to get folks back.
DCL ships miss CC all the time and receive no discounts on future sailings.
Interesting
I read more of this event, and perhaps that vibration in the aft may be repaired after all.
Some have always felt she had a bad prop from the get go. A prop slightlty out of balance. That also could have led to an event.
I was aboard during the Hurricane Sandy event, and I wouldn't discount this current event may be related.
The props and stern were out of the sea every other set of waves, ship running at 4 knots, winds above hurricane force, surface seas 10 m, rogue sets delivered every 20 minutes, at 18m, for 4 hours. Believe it or not. I was there. A Force 12 for a cruise ship.

Unprecedented.
After that many more spoke of vibrations in the aft cabins, more than the Dream.
Interesting

A reminder to those aboard this sailing, often these discounts can be combined with the Onboard Booking Discount. So keep that in mind.
