Disney Fantasy - 7 night - Western Caribbean - April 30, 2016

Oh suppose this would be helpful, :P

We are sailing this cruise, the Fantasy **SUPER excited to see this ship!!!** & leaving the 30th April.
Staying on deck 8, stateroom 8014.
My husband (his 1st cruise!!) my mother, myself and our 2 kiddos~ Katelyn 11 & Caleb 8.
Did I mention how excited I am??!! lol
Our 1st cruise we didn't know about the FE, so this time I want to make sure were up to speed. :P However, I have best be getting busy as we just booked and we leave in like 94 days. Yes, Im so counting!! :))

Correction on the spreedsheet our room number should be 7576.
SO I am not sure if this is where Im suppose to try and add myself to the FE or not ~forgive me if not :/. I posted a few posts last night but not sure if I should wait for someone to add me or is that what Im to do. Can you tell Im new to this?? ;) 2nd time sailing with Disney but pretty much like my 1st. :P
If Im wrong here, can you direct me perhaps on where Im suppose to go and how exactly Im to do this? Oh, I am not of ***** either so I hope that is not a problem.
Thank you!!
~Nicole

hey everyone:) So far we have 17 cabins participating! I've decided on bumping up the close out date for group 1 so people can begin to get gifts together.Once the first group is closed out I will divide the groups into 2. Group 1 will be closing Sunday February 7th. Once the group is closed I will be posting an updated excel spreadsheet with group info. After that is posted if you could all make sure all your information is correct and let me know if you wish to add anything:) I will be starting a new group for any that decide to join after that. If you guys have any questions let me know:)) Thanks everyone!

Hi, and thank you for letting me know. I am still learning this site. :-)
Okay wonderful, thank you! I think Im more excited about this trip this time than the family! I know this one will be amazing & I just want to make sure I don't drop the ball on this one for the kiddos ESP.!
So glad that step is over, I was a little worried I already dropped the ball. lol! As far as our crew, its my mother who answers by "Nana", my husband Billy, myself Nicole & our children Katelyn 11 and Caleb 8.
No allergies either... other than perhaps stress :P. This is a HUGE celebration to our family as this is my husbands :welcome: back home with his family, from being deployed and missed out on EVERY vacation & summer since ...I can not even remember. Its always the kids and my mom. I don't know what I would do without her! So yes, this is going to be A-MAZING! I know, can you tell Im super excited??!! :worship:Just happy we got on this cruise (Just booked yesterday evening) since my husband can not obviously plan a year out. We have been married 14 years *Wonderful 14 years, I may add* and its like so amazing to know were doing this cruise as a family. Crazy right?. Its like dating again~but already having kids. lol! Oh, and dad according to our kids~hung the moon. Okay, Ill stop ranting. :P
So here we are. We live on the east coast so not too long of a drive to the port call. I am from FL. so Mickey and I are kinda tight, you can say. lol I have been to Disney more times than I can count. Even walking around when I was 2 weeks till my due date with our 2nd. Not the most comfortable of times but, I wanted to do something special with just my daughter before she became the "oldest" child and no longer the "only" child. All was well, no I did not give birth at Disney (as cool as that might have been to tell!) However, this is only my 2nd cruise and a 1st for my husband, however. Our 1st was the Magic. And of course, no husband. So yes, he is just as excited!
Lets see.. favorite characters. My husband, son and daughter are big Star Wars fans. **missed that cruise tho** and myself and mom love them all!
Well, that is about it in a nutshell I suppose. Looking so forward to doing this with the kids and just spending this time as a family.

Thank you for adding me to the list! Again, I'm not of FB so I do hope you will let me know when the "list" is put out. Thanks again!

Thanks for the info Nicole!:) 1st group will close Feb 7th I will post an updated list on here then

Real quick, wanted to put out to them who are going to Disney before the cruise~ if you get time & your interested of course, downtown Disney has Blue Men and "La Nuba" Cirque Du Soleil tickets you can buy.
My kids really loved the Cirque Du Soleil show! And honestly, wherever you buy your seats -they are all good. No nose bleed seats. We paid a bit more for front rows but after we walked in I thought any of them would have been fine. Its a nice lay out. Amazing performance. **I didn't realize a women was singing live the entire show till the end, I thought it was recorded. Wonderful performance!**

Just wanted to share. :flower3:

Hi all, we are new to cruising and very excited about our trip. I have a couple of questions for the experienced cruisers out there. First, my husband and I really enjoy fine dining, and would like to go to both Palo and Remy while on the cruise, but we are also just excited about the rotational dining and don't want to miss anything. Are Palo and Remy worth it? Are there any suggestions on what nights to skip the rotational dining and go for the reservations? Next question, we have three young boys and they are going to love pirate night, so if we choose to make dinner reservations on pirate night, are there other activities that night that we can do with the boys? Last question (for now), is there an advantage to booking excursions through Disney rather than on our own, as all things Disney, the excursions seem more expensive through them. Thanks so much for your help! Can't wait for our adventure! :) Kerri

HI Kerri-

If you go to the DisneyCruiseLineBlog website, they have past cruise navigators to give you a feel for which nights are rotational and which have the same meal in all the dining rooms (It's generally the first four nights are rotational, but it's always subject to change.) You can work your Palo or Remy meal around the Pirate Night activities - there's a couple of hours between the first show up on deck and the second/fireworks. Also - you might consider the brunches on sea days.

For the excursions, the biggest advantage with booking through Disney is that if anything goes wrong, they'll hold the ship. If you're on your own and don't make it back by All Aboard - they'll leave and you'll be responsible for getting yourself to the next stop. That said - we've done excursions on our own with no trouble. Just time it so you'll be back to the ship 1-2 hours before All Aboard and that should give you enough buffer if there's an issue. You'll have to decide what you're most comfortable with. (that said, for any of the excursions, I'm not sure I'd book something that goes to another island on my own, but again, that's my comfort level...)

It's going to be a great cruise!

I am still interested in joining the FE group, but I have a few questions I am hoping some of the experienced cruisers can help me with :)

There are 10 cabins in each group, so you are giving gifts to 9 other cabins? Is there a number of gifts per cabin you are supposed to give? Do you give something every day or all at once or whenever you want?

For the actual gifts, what are some things you have loved receiving in the past? I have seen quite a few things on etsy, but I've read on here that some people who have participated felt that they didn't put as much time into the gifts they gave as the ones they received. I just want to make sure I have the time and $ to commit before I sign up. I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone!

Thanks guys! I am so excited as this is my first cruise and I just love Disney. I wish we could know our dining assignments beforehand. I would love to be seated with another family, preferably with a girl around 8 for my daughter to become friends with!

Im organizing the fe for this group it will be my first time participating but i can answer some of your general ?'s....10 cabins per group, so you are correct you would be exchanging with 9 others cabins. For my cabin we will be giving each individual in the cabin gifts but there is no limit on how many you choose to give. Once i get the 1st groups situated and once its gets a bit closer i will probably assign days(what works best for everyone in the groups) for exchange so everyone is getting something each day and not all at once. [.....] If you would like to join i would just need the stateroom# name of people traveling as well as the age of any kids, any celebrations that will happen on the cruise, favorite characters of each person as well as if there are any allergies :)

One question on the FEs... should we sign who the gifts are from? I wasn't sure if I was to or not.

You can sign your names if you would like but please include cabin numbers:) I'll be posting info when I close the groups and put together the finalized lists

Hi everyone. We are going on our first Disney cruise, and the more I research, the more I am afraid we are going to miss out on something. I was reading about the FE, and I think my kids would absolutely love to be a part of this. I'm having trouble navigating my way here to find out if it is closed for this cruise, or if not, how many families are participating. My name is Karyn, I am 39, my husband, Casey, will be 40 by the time we sail. We have 2 children, Aiden 12, and Piper, who will turn 8 yrs old 1 week before we sail. We are all so excited. We are traveling from West Virginia. Our cabin # is 6582, mid ship. Any information that can be provided so we can participate in this would be welcomed!!

We have 17 families participating so far hoping to make it to 20 to split it into 10 cabins per group...[....]I can add your info if you would like to join:) im closing out the first groups next Sunday and will post further info you want to add any favorite characters as well as any allergies

Didn't see us on the list for some reason. What do we need to complete? Thanks for the help. We were one of the first like you on here.
