DISNEY DREAMING! A Nov/Dec 2010 PTR *12/9 ~ Hello Again!

So jealous about MVMCP. We absolutely loved it. Personally I thought it was a million times better (ok, maybe not a million) than MNSSHP. Don't get me wrong, I loved MNSSHP as well but I am more of a Christmas person than a Halloween person so the Christmas party was amazing! I think you have a good plan about doing all the special things for the party. We only did a few rides but saw the fireworks, parade, and show. Oh yes, and enjoyed cookies and apple juice (I think Emma might've had the hot chocolate).

It is too bad they changed the show in Tomorrowland...the year we went it was the Twas the Night Before Christmas and it was adorable. The dream light show was awesome. I have a video but don't know if you want me to spoil it. If you do want to see it I can share it but trust me, it's even more amazing in person.

Hi, I'm joining in! Just found your PTR! I'll be back to read more and catch up later!

We'll be going during the same time as you. Our Disney dates are 11/28-12/4. We'll be in the Orlando area earlier, but with family and not at Disney! This is our first time there during the Christmas time as well!! So excited!

So glad to hear! We're Christmas people too and I really do think we'll have a fabulous time. I'm not sure I want to see the video, but please do share it and I might sneak a quick peek.

Thanks so much for the picture. I was hoping it wasn't too far from her normal wear...with just some added accessories. MIL is making DD a Minnie dress and I wanted to see if there was a way to turn it into Minnie's Christmas attire. Guess not but that is good too!!

I'm torn if I want to take my video camera this trip. I think I've mentioned before about the issue we had in 2007 where most of the trip was video instead of pictures and then all of it was lost due to problems with the camera. I'm still thinking about it for now.

How cute! Well, what if your MIL made a Christmas shawl to go over the costume she already has? I did a quick search and found this example of what I mean:

It was so disappointing, I cried a bit once I realized all the video had been ruined. George was too sweet, he told me to take Ariana and hop back on the plane and go back to get all new video.

My camera is actually pretty good taking videos, all the ones from my TR were from the camera -- Push and Fantasmic and the video of Demetri jumping in the pool on this PTR -- but it's a memory hog. I suppose I could carry around extra memory cards.....

Alex is chomping at the bit to buy himself a new HD video camera. Maybe we'll go halfsies with him and use it for this trip.....

OK well here are a couple videos if you want to watch. First time I saw a video of the dream lighting show I got choked up. It is so magical the way they light up the castle.

This one is just an atmosphere video so it doesn't really spoil any of the shows. I just took it while waiting for the parade.

You will love MVMCP!!!! The Halloween one is good and Xmas is just as good! Just the decorations along are wonderful I had always wanted to see the Xmas parade..in person not just on TV on Xmas day and I was able to go to a CM Preview of it one night at 11pm and they did a run-through of the parade and that was the first time I saw it..I had tears in my eyes!

Hi Megan.... I'm really glad I booked this at the beginning of our trip just in case, for whatever reason , we have to go again.

Yay for Christmas time! George told me earlier today that all I needed to do was win the lottery and then we can go whenever we want. Oh, so that's the secret.

Sounds good to me, hit the lottery, then buy one of those houses they are building on the Disney Property, and open up my own Disney World Vacation planning business. Of course, I would need some time to learn all the ins and outs of Disney. That shouldn't take more than 5-10 years right?

Sounds like a plan to me. Every new business needs a smart start up and time to get it going. Invest in research, lots and lots of research, and you can't go wrong. Seriously, aren't those Disney property homes amazing?

Too funny. He's a man of contradictions, that hubby of mine.

He'd once said if the costs of the vacations keep going up it was time to start looking off property. Then he throws me for a loop yesterday and shakes his head vehemently at my tongue-in-cheek suggestion we become best buddies with someone who owns property down there so we could go more often. "It's not the same if you don't stay at the resorts." he says.

Well knock me over with a feather.... I'd converted him!

Ah but that spurred on the lottery talk and while I said I'd immediately buy into DVC and go whenever I wanted, he said if we won, he'd buy a condo and go whenever we wanted. Say wha??
